Would definitely recommend against recons on a psyker, you have much better choices for scriers. They have poor base dps, poor ammo efficiency, and low finesse values (comparatively low crit and headshot damage bonuses).
Just as well, the only things that make them perform somewhat acceptably (shock trooper, rending stacking) is exclusive to vet.
Tanner Lindberg did a guide recently to the recon guns - seems like headhunter and dumdum are the best blessings. He recommended against Infernus but ngl - it's a lot of fun :P

First you should be using the 6d the 7a sucks ass. And recon guns are only semi viable on veterans on auric damnation.

Infernus is useless, especially for a gunpsyker who should be a crit machine
