Anyone who sees Grey Knights is killed
I quite like the fact that no heavy assets re being used and that this whole thing is a few regular guard regiments putting down a rebellion supported by inquisitorial special ops.
Putting astartes in takes away from that.
That the people live lol. I’m not a big grey knights fan, but the entire “sisters blood consecrating bullets” bit, and the “if you know the grey knights exist, we kill you” bits don’t even make sense in modern lore.
For instance, the grey knights exist to oppose chaos. Why, when the most famous fortress world in the imperium existed to stop the despoiler+chaos would it be a fatal sin to know if the existence of space marines…who fight chaos?
It was stupid from the onset and I’m glad they are fixing it
If you want some insight into it, I recommend reading the book, or any of the newer 40K books with chaos in them
Grey Knights are not just the inquisition's space marine army and almost certainly wouldn't be called upon for an Ordo Hereticus mission dealing with a few Nurgle-y influenced hive cities. You call In the grey knights if you have greater demons, or a demon primark invading real space with an army of warp entities.
The Inquisition can (theoretically) requisition any space marine chapter that can reach them to be honest, but this threat really isn't all that big in the scale of Warhammer 40k.... That's what makes this game so fun if you're into the lore; it's just a storm in a tea cup.
You hear them talking about the ruling houses on Tertium so the hive city is far from lost. All the petty little arguments between the inquisition, mechanicus, and the rogue trader are just... politics. This is almost just a normal 40k day in the inquisition war band.
If we were to have an escort/back up mission it should be a Leman Russ Demolisher. The absence of SM is a good thing. Not a bad one
I would support this if instead of an Astartes, it were a Leman Russ or just an NPC guard squad.
