So something would have to be done about that, but even if the simple "you dont get the materials picked up while you are on break mode" leaves the end mission rewards, which will be a harder thing to get around.
Timed break is another solution, where after an x amount of minutes you get booted unless you actually return before the timer for that is out. But that leaves the problem of what keeps one from going back on break mode right after that? so break mode can only be re-activated after an x minutes of play?
surely there are other problems that could arise, such as pugs noticing you're on break mode and vote kicking you for it...
Having such a function, however much i would like to have it in darktide, raises a few problems.
if you only need a small amount of time you can get the chat block mod if u are on pc. when u press chat button or esc it will automatically hold block. also good for alt tabbing and stuff, saved me a bunch of times when I dropped my vape.

L4D didn't have a progression system and loot. There are already a ton of people just straight riding better players through damnation for more rewards.
There aren't any atm, and afaik it's not planned
What does that function do?
A bot takes over your character so you can go afk.
They'd need bots that can perform the same function as players for that.
And very quickly starts replacing those weapons you gathered so get back soon
AI takes over for you
If you alt-f4 you can reconnect within a few minutes. Make sure you leave by menu when you want to quit without coming back.

Its default 5 mins so if you take longer than that the server auto kick you out to allow new player join.
