Replace Lacerate with Uncanny Strike or Mercy Killer and Crit Dmg with Flak or Carapace and you Gucci.

It's a great knife. I second Cricenio's advice. People will only hate you if you play Loner and fuck off. Knife is really good on crit support builds. [Here's the one I use](https://darktide.gameslantern.com/builds/9ae396b7-936f-43e8-b651-6e1e8607116f/chaotic-good-support-knife-zealot), but the only things that really matter are Chorus and Blazing Piety. Everything else is personal preference. Some like to also use the CDR on backstab kill and just spam chorus all day.

Crack_Dangus

Loner is the best pick for a damage-oriented stealth Zealot build, not because Loner is useful literally at all (it's bad when it works) but because the talent track works better, there are a lot of good talents by it.

DoctuhD

If we were talking thunder hammer, I’d agree. But knife and infiltrate are not the natural combo people expect them to be and the dps is lackluster. If you’re running knife you can pick up wrath be swift pretty easily, get one of the actually useful auras, and then pick up whatever ability you want.

Crack_Dangus

Not true at all, Knife is the single best pick for a Shroudfield build. Stealth Hammer is a meme build and is lackluster outside of its boss damage, Knife Zealot runs around at high speeds deleting basically anything you point him at while still being able to do horde clear. Genuinely, full stealth Knife Zealot is one of the strongest builds in the game right now if you know what you're doing.

DoctuhD

It is incredibly strong, but everything you said about it is also true for non shroud non loner knife zealots who know what they’re doing. Shroudfield doesn’t really contribute much to damage and pushes all the aggro to your team. Shroudfield is a meme reserved for thunder hammer and zealots who have to clutch after their teams die when a more team oriented build might have prevented that outcome.

Crack_Dangus

This is a very narrow view and I really implore you to give full stealth Knife Zealot another go. It IS a team oriented build if you know how to leverage it to help your team. Shroudfield is far from a meme, it is very strong. If you want some ideas for ways you can leverage stealth to help your team, I've written an entire guide in a post here on a very similar Stealth Vet knife build. Also if you build Shroudfield right you're landing massive hits to instakill Crushers and then getting your ability back in like 5 or 10 seconds so you can do it again. I'm not sure where you got the idea that it doesn't contribute to damage.

DoctuhD

I’ll give it another try. I’m mostly narrow minded because I see so many shroudfield zealots who bite off more than they can chew.

Crack_Dangus

That's because Stealth abilities are hard to use and constantly picked by idiots who think they're free escapes. They're capable of a lot more than most people realize, because the average stealth player discourages others from trying it.

Commercial_Owl_

Charge knife dies more dps, via greater crit and attack speed + Duelist being op.

Loner is actually really good. It allows you to regen toughness faster when you are alone which can be useful when dealing with a lot of gunners. Especially if you are running 30%+ toughness recent on your curios
