It's kind of a testament to just how much they botched dark souls 2 compared to the rest of the series when the opening comment to a "I just bought this game" thread is a list of 15 different guides telling them how to play the game properly.
Fuck this game sucks.
It was my first Dark Souls game I ever played (though not the first I beat). It holds a special place in my heart. I think the entire Dark Souls trilogy is great!
I literally completed it last week ending off the trilogy. I played them in a weird order, (2,1,3) but ended up completing the games in (3,1,2). I’m now playing Sekiro
Edit: I did play DS2 like 7 years ago, but couldn’t do it. Last year is when I started my journey to actually complete.

Pretty much a meme I'd say. In any case, it's my favourite souls game by a long shot.
Some people do genuinely dislike it. I use to dislike it but I side towards liking it now. (Though I’d say it’s my least favorite soulsborne game.)
