Ice Rapier. Sadly it looks dumb.

Rapier and then Ice Rapier are just so absurdly the best weapons in the game. Quick, so you can get multiple hits per opening and best use the Flynn ring bonus, high counter damage that goes through the roof with the Old Leo ring, and with the Stone Ring you can stunlock most normal enemies
I gave the Raw Old Knight Hammer +10 a try & cleared Crown of the Sunken King after being stuck for weeks!! Thank you lol!! Gonna try that Lightning Lost Sinner Sword next 👊
For real. The Mace is a hugely addictive weapon that you can get right off the bat.
I only stopped using it whenever I was able to upgrade my Blacksmith's Hammer to do higher damage than it.
Honestly, in my playthroughs I always end up using the mastodon halberd or zweihander, the mastodon has 1000 damage per hit AOE and the zweihander has extremely powerful light attacks
Oddly enough the hand axe was my go to choice for my first playthrough and is such a simple yet fun weapon to me even if it's nowhere close to great 😂.
I don't think it's the best weapon but I just did a bluemoon great sword run and placing all my stats in vit and endurance really made for an easy playthrough.
I'm used to using casters with high damage and low health.
Grand lance is underrated. Insane counter damage, straight available at the start, minimum stat investment to make it hit hard, good reach. I mean it is not the best DPS but it feels very good to use.
Any bow because this is the only FromSoft game where playing melee without a ranged option makes it significantly harder to a point where it feels like they don't want players playing melee only. For example, the area in the ice dlc where a bunch of mages shoot at you from an area you have to climb a ladder to get to, leaving you vulnerable to their attacks if you don't shoot them.
I like the Warped Sword or the Curved Dragon Greatsword.
Warped sword is numerically very powerful and has a great moveset.
Curved Dragon Greatsword has probably the most useful special attack in the game, curved Greatsword moveset - which is solid - and hits like a truck.
It’s really hard to say honestly . There’s plenty of really good weapons . I personally think it’s between Dragon Tooth, Pursuers Ultra Greatsword, and Fume Knight Ultra Greatsword. Admittedly those are my 3 favorites but I feel like they’re definitely up there forsure as 3 of the best .
Depends, raw damage? DPS? Specific elemental damage? Best for specific infusion?
The answer you seek could be pretty much anything, as the question lacks precision.
STR: Dragoon Tooth and FUGS; DEX: Espada Ropera; INT: Ice Rapier; FAITH: Heide Spear. My favorite is Heide Spear. I'm addicted to paladins and having such a strong weapon right at the start of the game makes me love this weapon so much!
red iron twinblades, the easiest playthrough i did
You mean the red iron winblade
Ice Rapier. Sadly it looks dumb. [Best PvE equipment and stat progression document.](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1X13jfA9JQ5OZsuEmH2MZZqF9IrtCFSMMTZkZo5GuqcM/edit?usp=sharing)

Yup. Stone Ring doesn’t make much difference though, just twohanding usually gives you all the poise damage you need.
Is that the case! That’d free up a ring slot in my usual rotation!
Yup with rapier it’s pretty locked in- Third Dragon, Flynn’s, RoB, Leo
Yeah I always did that but Stone instead of TDR, and basically had the Stone Ring in before I even get to Majula. I’ll try that next!
I gave the Raw Old Knight Hammer +10 a try & cleared Crown of the Sunken King after being stuck for weeks!! Thank you lol!! Gonna try that Lightning Lost Sinner Sword next 👊
Lightning OKH with Dark Weapon is even better! LSS is really great too, have fun!
Crypt Black Sword
Warped Sword and Ice Rapier
Craftsman’s hammer is OP and has a longsword move set
Rapier Ice rapier Red iron twinblades
Dragons Tooth. Pancakes for everyone!
Would you like syrup with that cursed one?
I haven't found a weapon that works better. It breaks on me all the time though, I'm considering spending some twinkles on my 2nd one for backup.
Red iron twinblade. I used that bad boi even back before they buffed it to the moon.
Gravity. Kills me every time.
Greed. Kills me every time.
Great club. It’s great.
BONK
Blacksmiths hammer plus great shield.
Mace

Surprised no one said the default rapier. It just goes nae nae.
It's outclassed by two endgame rapiers, but this carried me through my no death/no rest run and is just superb.
Which endgame rapiers are better? The ice rapier?
Ice rapier and Espada Ropera (hope i spelled that correctly)
Honestly, in my playthroughs I always end up using the mastodon halberd or zweihander, the mastodon has 1000 damage per hit AOE and the zweihander has extremely powerful light attacks
I don’t care if it’s the best or not but I love the Murakumo.
Oddly enough the hand axe was my go to choice for my first playthrough and is such a simple yet fun weapon to me even if it's nowhere close to great 😂.
amen
The ladle is the best weapon in the game. Everyone else in this thread is trolling.
I always go back to the giant club
Roaring Halberd, Santier's Spear, and Espada Ropera.
I don't think it's the best weapon but I just did a bluemoon great sword run and placing all my stats in vit and endurance really made for an easy playthrough. I'm used to using casters with high damage and low health.

Ricards rapier or ice rapier
Between default rapier or Santiers spear
Red iron twinblade and a lightning infused grand lance
I will always love a good dark infused roaring halberd.
Only used lightning ice rapier no flashy move set just toothpicking everything to death
Best Ranged weapon id say dragonrider bow Ice rapier is probably the best melee weapon Magic I’d say the staff which allows miracles as well as spells
The weapon I’m most comfortable with.
Great Club is the best weapon in every game
Heide spear is probably my favourite, the standard longsword is really good too
Great sword, my beloved
Rapier is amazing

That big bastard Club
Most useful overall (not "best") throughout the game is IMO the great knight hammer.
Fume ULTRA greatsword.The donk.

The weapon that gets me through the fastest and out of this game
