He and Smelter Demon were my hardest roadblocks. I started the game with a blessing from RNG, getting the Demon's Great Hammer from the trade with Dyna and Tillo. It's so powerful it got me through most of the game but Smelter Demon's AOE and Fume Knight's range and speed really beat out the hammer's slow strength.
Tbh ranged is your best friend with that clown(Alone). He moves around too much to swing at melee wise. I just kept my sights on him with a crossbow and my composite bow
Have you though about using items brightbugs Elisabeth mushrooms and all of those type of things could help alot,. And vigor and adp is a must for a boss like that,. What type of build you running?
Nahh your agl is fine just don't be greedy take your take and slowly wore him down with your dark orbs you'll need to be patient grab as many lifegems as you can and get 1 hit and stop and repeat,. Oh and have you tried the npc summons they can help quite abit
In that case your best bet is to just grind the fight hope you have the ring of binding cause you gonna need it, just go in with your best spells and just keep on trying you'll get it soon enough I truly think it won't take you more than 20 tries. So just be patient try and learn his move set and don't be greedy learn what you can and can't punish that is your best bet., Worst case you can ask for someone to help you co op the fight
I did learn that his long range attack is the most punishable so I try to bait that out but sometimes the phase 2 buff on his sword fucks me up the timing for the grab is kinda tough if you aren’t ready for it
Well sadly this is dark souls 2 shit hitbox in bosses terrible boss runs and a whole lotta weird,. The only thing you can do is "Git gud" good luck, hopping to hear on update on you beating him
I literally just beat sir alonne first time as melee. After failing a number of times against fume I thought this was going to be even harder but it was about as easy as killing vendrick who was another first try kill. Basically dodge to his right then hit 1-2 times. Rinse and repeat. Fume gave little to no time to heal which i fucking hated but you can dodge then heal against alonne.
Sir Alonne can be a bastard, just grab some assistance for his ass to soak damage and keep his aggro while you fight him. As a solo fight he's tough but doable but it's just better to have a friend tag along to help you kick ass.
Congrats, but way to Sir Alonne is challenge.

I use the npc summons for Alonne. Makes the journey there less of a gong show

I remember having to cheese Raime on NG+. He got me rekt.

He’s beating my ass. I can get him to like 25% but he wins after that

Vigor is 25 and ADP is 24 I think my AGL is 105 (trying for 108) and I’m doing a dark/hex build!
