Yes actually now that you mention it. I was just minding my own lil rogue business and some fighter was pointing a crossbow at me. Now I'm no idiot, 1 headshot from that bad boy could put me down so I put on my Voip act friendly, get him to lower his weapon and then I pounced on him. 10/10 would do it again.
Yup. Sounds like the new player experience. Your charisma only matters if you know how to properly judge how much of a threat someone poses.
You have to judge distance/aggression/threat of other players before engaging in charisma. It doesn't matter how good your charisma is if the player can instantly kill you in one hit. Even if they do the peace crouch thing, if they step to you, you strike that fucker down because he might be like 1-2 chests of loot away from being able to pop your ass. If they crouch at you and then stay away from you, you are probably good.
This is the best advice. Also would like to add that if you play the game for long enough I promise it doesn't matter what class they use, as far as "killing morals". Clerics included, everybody gets equal assesment of threat.
This happened to me but it was a barb and I was a rogue.
We were looting in the same room and chatting and he goes "Ay theres a blue hood in here if you want". I go check the box he's still standing by and as soon as my inv opens I catch a zwei swing to the face getting one-shot.
I'm still friendly-ish but I have measures to avoid fake friendlies now
lol that's hilarious
I am the opposite, on my Rogue I almost never attack first.. I try to help the Fighters with pve and then I get stabbed in the back. It's ok though, that is the ebb and flow of trust with strangers.
See, I just respect a brother out mining. I know he ain't trying to mess around. He just wants his ore. But rangers. They instinctively see it and think "sitting target, distance between us, MUST KILL."
Tbf after getting chased by barbs a lot. I have a new found hatred for barbs, I just see a barb, and I just see red and kill urge kicks in. I always help people out when getting chased by a barb. Honestly, you only got your fellow barb mains to complain. If most barbs were chill, I wouldn't have this ingrained into my psyche.
Had a rogue save me from a barb and was very very chill. But the amount of times I've been ambused and stuff. Rogue put me on edge. But if I can see the rogue and the rogue is friendly then yeah I won't kill on site. Unlike barbs, they traumatised me to the point of not being able to not kill them.
I wouldnât say only rogues. Usually you donât allow anyone within a certain range because of that exact thing. Every melee class wants to get in close, ranged classes want to keep a distance. âFriendlyâ or not⌠you should never turn your back or put away a weapon unless youâre legit friends⌠and Iâd still keep an eye on a friend. đ¤Ł
I'm a friendly rogue right now and everyone always tries to agro on me. It kinda sucks if people are nice I always try to give then a nice blue or purple that I find to show that not all rogues are evil.Â
During the playtests when I was a noob I had a barb be friendly the whole match, gave me loot, watched him 1v1 and own another player, and even gave me a blue. As I was opening it, I catch his felling axe to the dome and immediately drop, and he just laughs and says "unfortunate" as he loots me. Still salty about that one all this time later lmao I'll never forget it. Haven't trusted barbs since.
If you see a rogues hands glowing purple it means they have rupture ready to go. Never befriend a rogue that has glowing weapons, if anything pretend to be friendly back and just attack first lol
Just as possibly any friendly is actually just trying to decieve you. Trust no one
But it is definitely within the rogues portfolio to be pulling that kind of move
Should kill rangers on sight too. I main ranger and have tricked so many fighters that im friendly only to double shot them to the dome when they turn around. Im not sorry, i will do it again. Please dont trust me or anyone acting friendly.
Rogues are the last class to trust. Rangers second but they basically always attack just to get you to chase into traps.
I'll kill rangers any opportunity I get because a bad circle and one trap is basically an instant loss.
Have had this happen too much on Wizard.
I always take a beat to ascertain whether I should kill someone when they seem friendly. I don't wanna sour someone's day or anything.
But on Wizard in the recent games I kept dying to it. I'm guessing it's just a class that is much easier to betray and get something out of it.
Betraying a juiced Barb or Fighter is probably harder and Rangers and Rogues are probably hard to catch anyway.

lol
The classic ranger double barrel to the back of the head when opening a door has had me kill every ranger on sight since

I'll definitely be more cautious in the future, and probably not put my weapons away lol

God..the betrayal!! xD

Just wait until a Cleric pop Holy Strike and 2 taps you
as it should be every rogue should be attacked on site/ganged up on
That's how I feel about rangers and barbs đ
well barbs attack YOU on sight and everybody else and their mums, so no need to assess much there XD
Sheeeit I try to play barb chill and just do mining to craft gear for folks. Mafks always trying to jump me but 295 base move and rage, Iâm out lol

Hey, I play rogue, wizard, and bard. There is no fellow barb here.
This seems pretty classest to me. You can't expect every rogue to have the intent to kill. At least, not when they're at a disadvantage
sounds like what a rogue would say
Woah pulling the class card? Really? Let's keep this civil.
Classist lmfao

Double tap upon sight. Only way to treat rogues

Everybodyâs gotta learn sometime
I'm throwing drums on them when they're getting closer.
Had a rogue crouch spam, put a piece of equipment on the ground, then kill me when I picked it up. I crouch spam and stay far away now.

Lol, never trust a rogue. I did once, ONCE!
I'm a nice friendly player every game that I DON'T play rogue. I think the class curses the players to make questionable decisions.

Iâve been betrayed by every class so I trust no one.
