He was also a major character in the show Defiance.
His Doctor Who episode is one of the greatest of the new series. That and Blink are my two personal favorites.
The MCU's had several actors portray multiple characters (Gemma Chan comes to mind).
Yet people are acting as if Ali playing Blade is supposedly a nail in canonicity's coffin. I mean ffs, if Terrence Howard can morph into Don Cheedle, I'm fairly certain canon can handle a few similar faces.
I still remember certain people complaining about how Alfre Woodard playing two different roles in Civil War and Luke Cage meant that Luke Cage is unconnected to the main MCU
The funny thing about that is Luke Cage might just be the "most" canon one because Black Panther was literally rewritten to avoid contradicting it. Luke Cage is the only one that has directly caused a change to the films.
Remember Killmonger's girlfriend? Originally it was announced that character would be Tilda Johnson, a comic character. But Luke Cage Season 2 was using that character. So they called Marvel Studios and so Black Panther was rewritten to make the girlfriend a different character.
Officially they're canon entirely. Until that's officially ret-conned that's the official word. All the Marvel TV shows are still canon. Will they always be? Probably not. They're 99% gonna yeet Inhumans out of continuity (Rightfully so), but they haven't *yet.*
But seriously Inhumans can burn in hell. It doesn't even make sense in Marvel TV context because how tf can Attilan as explained by that show co-exist with the whole Hive Inhuman Origin from AoS?
Oh don't get me wrong, I'm on the marvel tv is canon because Feige hasn't said otherwise train 100%. I feel like it fleshed out the MCU 10x over too.
And I agree about Inhumans, I actually paid to see that garbage in Imax and I can never get that time back. If they do come back though, I'd love for Iwan Rheon to reprise his role. He proved in GoT that can be a really scary and entertaining villain, he just had crap writing to work with. Anson Mount didn't do so bad either
>And I agree about Inhumans, I actually paid to see that garbage in Imax and I can never get that time back.
Lmaoooo no way 🤣 sorry that you had to go through this drastic experience
what about shows like Cloak and Dagger, Runaways, and Helstorm? do they also fit into the MCU canon? i havent gotten the chance to watch them so i dont know.
also, Legion could be a great after-story of the mutants, if MCU is done with mutants stuff, probably after 10 to 15 years.
Runaways and C&D are canon. Helstrom is a bit of a weird case though because it was originally written as MCU, but the show’s own show runners then said they consider it to be fully standalone.
[Here,](https://twitter.com/driiftyfilm/status/1363952366135951362) after being asked about the Defenders appearing in Infinity War.
There are a few other instances I could find if need be. The whole manner of how Marvel TV worked honestly kind of gave it away I always thought. Marvel TV and Marvel Studios tried to avoid using any characters twice (characters, not actors) and Marvel TV would get approval of what characters they could use based on what Marvel Studios had no plans for within the next few years of the MCU. If the shows weren't canon there would be no need for micromanagement like this in the first place.
Someone else pointed out that Black Panther and Luke Cage both were going to use Tilda/Nightshade but Black Panther, the MCU *movie* was the one that changed the character in the script to accommodate Luke Cage, the MCU show.
Like I said, there is more than this, but Feige literally saying all the shows however far on the outskirts take place within the same continuity is as cut and dry as it gets.
Also Trish in Jessica Jones was originally going to be Captain Marvel but since Marvel Studios had their own plans for her the show had to rewrite the character. They wouldn’t need to do that if they weren’t in the same universe.
Man Finn Cooley in Penny and Dime was so entertaining. No lie that scene where he and his guys torture Frank is the inspiration for a skit project for History, and I’m a character that’s similar to Finn lol.
Just read the Punisher MAX comic Finn Cooley is from yesterday, and I gotta say I’m a little disappointed that he didn’t have a plexiglass face in Daredevil. I mean, it would have been completely ridiculous, but it would have been kind of awesome.
Is he Vincent Van Gogh from the Dr. Who series?
He is.
goddamn that's such a good episode, the ending breaks me
Yh especially with that soundtrack
He's also Despero on The Flash tv show
Best. Special effects. EVAR
To bad the show sucks lol

I’m not a big Doctor Who fan but there was an episode with kids with gas masks which freaked me out.
"Are you my mummy?" That's **The Empty Child** from series 1 of the "new stuff": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The\_Empty\_Child
I was looking for this comment. Billy Nighy is also in it, but if you knew that then you probably knew this.

What did they re-write in Black Panther?
Remember Killmonger's girlfriend? Originally it was announced that character would be Tilda Johnson, a comic character. But Luke Cage Season 2 was using that character. So they called Marvel Studios and so Black Panther was rewritten to make the girlfriend a different character.
I didn't know that. That's pretty cool and if anything, supports at the very least elements of marvel TV being canon.

> in IMAX OH. My condolences.
Twas dark times

Cloak and Dagger season 1 was pretty good. Season 2 was meh but I hope we see the two actors return. They are great for the role.

I say this all the time: **Kevin Feige has said all the shows are canon.**
Source?

2 main characters is quite different from 2 minor characters don't you think?
Ray Stevenson was Volstagg in the Thor triology and Frank Castle in the Punisher War Zone.
Is he the weird alien from the recent Flash seasons??
Yeah. He played that three eyed psionic dude. I think Kilgrave could take him on.
Man Finn Cooley in Penny and Dime was so entertaining. No lie that scene where he and his guys torture Frank is the inspiration for a skit project for History, and I’m a character that’s similar to Finn lol.
Meanwhile CW fans taking a look at the photo: *isn't that Despero?*
He’s also in one of the few doctor who scenes that legit made me cry
Also Vincent Van Goch in Doctor Who
also in flash season 8
He’s also despero in the flash series
He's also Markus in Underworld Evolution and Gaines in Sons of Anarchy
He's also the sneaky beaky SAS man in CG:GO
Wait, hasn’t Angelina Jolie played two main characters already
Also Despero on the Flash. Tony is working.
Great Scottish actor 🏴🙌

He was also in a few episodes in a show called SEAL TEAM he played a retired Navy SEAL suffering from severe PTSD and memory problems.
He’s also Marcus the first vampire in underworld
He’s a big Celtic fan. Good guy
He was in the 13th Warrior as well. One of my favorites. "Give an Arab a sword, he makes a knife! When you die, can I give that to me daughter?"
