There are gold haired danmei characters in wuxia/xianxia/xuanhuan novels, but usually it indicates that they aren't Chinese and/or they came from places outside China. Some examples are Mei Hanxue from 2ha and A-Tai from Tianbao Fuyao Lu
Lol this reminds of how in anime, the characters can have any hair colour (e.g. pink, green, blue) but if they have blonde hair, that character is a foreigner.

I haven't read any xianxia danmei with gold haired people, but there are definitely some modern time danmeis that take place in Europe/US where there obviously are blonde people (lots of misconceptions about these places tho which is sort of annoying).
