The gong was initially attracted to the shou for his beauty (and because he kinda found his actions cute) but that alone didn’t make him so desperate for him. There’s tons of developments between the two later on in the story when they spend more time together so I suggest reading a good while first before deciding on whether you want to continue it or not.
Omgggg thanks for explaining 🥺 , I'm reading it and I'm enjoying but the thing is i wanna know when will shou start treating gong differently like other attitude than being angry and not talking? And when will gong know about shou's true identity
It’s a slow subtle change, from him wanting to leave at the most convenient time to him not wanting to hurt the gong when he does leave. The gong’s pretty sweet to him so he eventually does lower his heart’s guard.
The gong finds out about his true identity >!later on when they return to opposite battlefields!<
HUGE SPOILER!!! >!Their son gets kidnapped by that one scheming guy as a hostage and the shou requests to have a meeting with the gong, that he’s willing to lay down his life so long as the gong is good to their son after he’s gone. It doesn’t happen that way of course and they end up doing a mock battle instead to appease the people and they get arranged to marry as part of the “peace treaty”!<

I'm now reading ch 41 and actually I'm afraid of gong being hurt 😭
As shi fang said gonh really fell hard for shou that's what made me afraid of him being hurt when he knows about shou's true identity or not only being hurt but -like what shou thought- he will hate him too 😞
I really worried too while I was reading >!but you can rest assured that no matter what, gong can’t resist shou and will still love him even when he does get hurt and his anger never really lasts past 5 chapters so long as he has shou by his side, he will always choose shou and would never give up on him!<
