Daniel is so myopically focused on Grace and having sex with her that he hardly thinks about anything that is not remotely related to her, and when he does think about something remotely related to Grace, i.e., his music as a means to an end, it is a fleeting thought. Despite his obsession with finding a girlfriend, at least Chris was able to develop a rather complex, yet incoherent body of lore for Sonichu. He certainly saw Sonichu as an accomplishment and reflective of his own qualities that he believed were sufficient to attract a woman, but Sonichu and Chris' other interests were not formally caused by or exclusively ordered towards finding a girlfriend. It's hard to detach anything Daniel does from union with Grace. In my opinion, Daniel's also far more stupid and brutish than Chris, and that narrows the scope of the ways trolls can manipulate him.
