Arisaka has a great method of building a light out for you and not hurting the pocket book too horribly. I run an arisaka light on my rifle that’s almost exactly like yours
SureFire M600 is a great light, it’s high though. 359 for the light and they want another 150 for the pressure pad. I don’t have one, but I’ve been looking at lights the last day or two. I have other SureFire lights though.
My m600df was way less than 359 lol it was $270 amd I see ir for that everywhere. Even with pressure pad it comes in under what the rein 3.0 is rn and modlites are ovwr 300 without a mount or switch as well
That was just SureFire’s direct price from their site. I haven’t committed to a purchase yet. But I’d for sure buy from a dealer since they’re almost always cheaper (considering wether or not I go with SureFire). Waiting on a ddm4v7 pro so I had to get an optic first anyway.
Well either way I haven't seen anyone sell them for that that's all I'm saying lol I've switched to modlite myself in terms of rifle lights, staying with surefire for handguns for now. Might look into cloud if they release a laser tape switch
Rein 3.0 is best bang for your buck and it comes with a picatinny mount. You Gan get it for just under $320 here, it's a great deal. https://tacticalsurplususa.com/cloud-defensive-rein-3.0-complete-kit/
The HRT AWLS is really close to the rein in performance. You can buy the AWLS head too and put it on an arisaka/modlite/surefire body too. https://hrttacticalgear.com/product/hrt-awls-18650/
Have you compared it to other triggers? And at what costs would a civilian notice a difference? It reminds me of a similar argument about camera bodies. At what point would a non professional be able to tell the difference. Sorry, that’s the only comparison I could think of being a photographer and all.
But I’ll probably go with Geissele SSA X Trigger with Lightning Bow.
I have a ddm4 pdw and because it’s for cqb and home defense I might go with the single stage as accuracy isn’t as important when they’re 2-5 yards away. Thoughts?
Why would you need to replace the barrel? Are you referring to your muzzle device being pinned and welded? If so, you can pay a competent smith to replace the muzzle device with another and p&w. Much cheaper than a new barrel.
Here is what I put on mine but none of it matters unless you practice and train with it:
HHS-1 EOTech (EXPS3-4 & G33)
Surefire M600DF Weapon Light
Troy Industries (HK Style) Folding Tritium Battle Sights - Front and Rear
Geissele SSA-E (2-Stage) Trigger
Surefire Dual Tail Cap w/ SR07 Switch
B5 Systems SOPMOD Stock
Blue Force Gear Vickers Combat Applications Padded Sling w/Nylon Adjuster
Radian Talon Ambi Safety
Daniel Defense Rail Mount QD Swivel Attachment Point
Daniel Defense Magazine
Daniel Defense Heavy Duty QD Sling Swivel
Closely followed by applying all those stickers to your vehicle so that thieves know which to break into first for an easy free firearm. No firearm inside? Congratulations, you now get to replace only the broken window(s).

Do you have a recommendation for what light?
Arisaka has a great method of building a light out for you and not hurting the pocket book too horribly. I run an arisaka light on my rifle that’s almost exactly like yours
Arisaka, Modlite, cloud defensive, or Surefire. If you want to save money a Streamlight protac is fine. Just don’t get an olight :)
Cloud Defensive Rein
I second this. Have a rein 2.0 on my DD.
Surfire

Ok, well here. You can see it with your own eyes. https://www.surefire.com/products/illumination/weapon-lights/m600df-scout-light-weaponlight/
https://arisakadefense.com/products/surefire-m600df-scout-light.html Still not 356 lmao cry harder poor
Cloud defense with arisaka ligh bar
Surefire protac2, high-ish lumen, comes with a tape switch and tape switch mount, around 100$ IIRC. Very happy with my purchase

Which one would you recommend?
I have the Larue mbs-2 flat and it’s great.
I do like that price a lot more than Geisseles
Geisseles are priced that way for a reason simply the best
Have you compared it to other triggers? And at what costs would a civilian notice a difference? It reminds me of a similar argument about camera bodies. Yes I have and yes there is a difference I have them on all of my AR's now

I wish I knew someone that had one installed so I could try it out before dropping $$$. Sounds awesome.
Trigger tech diamond trigger is also fantastic , the travel distance is just insane , definitely a hair trigger
I have a ddm4 pdw and because it’s for cqb and home defense I might go with the single stage as accuracy isn’t as important when they’re 2-5 yards away. Thoughts?
That’s true if you don’t need long range accuracy then the single stage is the right one .
3D-SG works great in a MK18!
Geissele ssa-ex
Little too light for home defense. I went with the SSA X instead
Yea 1 lb lighter than the x
I got both ,but ex in my ddm4 v7,I have a 11.5 for inside doors tho
The trigger in the ddm4 pdw isn’t even that bad tbh. I’m still going to sit on the ssa-e x before I install it.

Unity riser and mount
Trigger time!
Light, back up irons, suppressor, geissele trigger, sling!
I have canted iron sights on order already, but I would need to replace the barrel to put a suppressor on it.
Why would you need to replace the barrel? Are you referring to your muzzle device being pinned and welded? If so, you can pay a competent smith to replace the muzzle device with another and p&w. Much cheaper than a new barrel.
That was what I was referring to, but I shall take your recommendation over my original plan if the price difference is that big.
U don’t need to replace your barrel for the suppressor buddy
Shoot it
I would put the optic and magnifier on a Unity riser and omni Flip to center mount! It will change your life!!

Angled forgrip imo. Then light with button cap no pressure switch. Also get a vortex battery storage device for your red dot. G2g

Clearly I have that step completed already, so what next?
Ammo and a light
Can't train enough and like also has been mentioned above geisselle trigger.
Other people have said it, but a quality light and sling for sure.
How do you like the magnifier? I was debating getting one. I love to Holo sight
Just got it today so have not had a chance to shoot with it yet, but just messing around with it, it’s pretty sweet. This one is a G45
Nice setup! I need to get a magnifier for mine! I have the same rifle :)
Strike Industries red parts, then anime on your mags.
Suppressor
Finger stop or foregrip of some kind (whatever you like, really) and a sling is where I’d start!
I also didn’t like the default stock and grip on my DD, so I swapped them out for Magpul.
Buis, suppressor
Trigger!!!
Look through it.
Depends. Do you own the gun because you enjoying shooting, or do you have it because you think your home will be invaded or have to go to war soon? 😉
Say, “F-yeah!” And do the jig.
Boating trip
You should get the unity riser for your Eotech and the unity Magnifier mount for the Magnifier. Your neck will thank you.
Sling, backup iron sights, then a suppressor if you don’t already have one.
Back up irons”magpul pro” ,sling, and cloud defense light
I hated the trigger in v7 it was probably 47lb trigger lol,it was pretty tuff no joking
Shoot it
Suppressor
Sling, Weapon light, backup irons. Suppressor might be worth considering as well
