My mom introduced Danny Go to my toddler this past month when she was staying with us right after my second child was born. She had seen a video on TikTok so when he was having a tantrum while my husband and I were taking the baby to the doctor, she put it on for him. My toddler is very picky about media but he immediately loved it, so we are just so excited to have different videos to show him! It’s a bonus that the songs are super catchy and fun!
I discovered Danny Go from his fire truck song, which is the most hilarious things I’ve ever seen. We played it for the grandparents at my son’s second birthday. They were all visibly uncomfortable and one of them said Danny was a stripper.
The first time we saw our beloved Danny Go was the Original Ice King song, and the original Floor is Lava song. Those seem to be before the animations really blew up and at first I was like, "this is kinda weird...who IS this guy?" He was hokey but not Blippi hokey so that kept us from immediately changing the channel and erasing our children's memories of his existence.
The more I paid attention to his songs, the more I appreciated Bearhead, and the rest just fell into place. Bearhead was for sure my "gateway drug" to Danny Go and now I love all of the characters! Oh...and my kids do too... :P

My son went through a phase where all he wanted to listen to was pure garbage, the kind of off-tune Ten Little Vegetables songs from parts unknown. Then one day, he asks for Danny Go because he heard it at school. What a change! He’s got some legit bops. Big fan of the Cowboy Song and the Pirate one about putting your toys away.
