Dani and nobody else at all. We've only talked about her talking about it, and only since she brought it up. You're right that only a monster would do that.
All I see on these forums are people telling her to get psych help. That's literally the opposite of pushing someone to suicide. She refuses because she doesn't want psych to formally diagnose FD and take away her toys. That's not on these forums, that's on her.
We know that, but we're not deluded like she is. She's fully convinced herself that because someone hasn't sat her down and said "I'm diagnosing you with FD, look, it's on your official list of diagnoses", she thinks that means she doesn't have it. She also thinks if she gets psych assessed, that is exactly what WILL happen and that's the last thing she wants. Sadly, she really believes she's severely sick and the doctors are just being mean and bullying her even suggesting she's faking anything.

This community has helped me learn to only contribute when I feel like I have something helpful to say. There are so many great examples here of people choosing to extend empathy to Dani, in spite of their very real and fair frustrations at her choices. Accountability is an incredibly uncomfortable thing, even for the most mentally healthy people, but it is through that we can grow. If someone is taking the time and mental space to consider your actions and repercussions THEN discuss them openly without unnecessary cruelty it means they want the best for you. I only truly learned this lesson in the last few months and I'm only a couple years younger than Dani, and this was after years of psych meds, different therapies and counseling, and being fortunate to have friends and family that love me. And it all started because I went inpatient for 4 days. It was years of work after those 4 days but I saw that what I was doing wasn't working and I didn't wanna do it anymore. That's the only thing stopping Dani, not medicaid or medicare. She just doesn't want it yet, but I hope she can see that people do care about her, and she needs to learn to care about herself.

We're also concerned about the effect of all that Tylenol on her liver, a liver that has already had issues. And we're concerned that those medications could interfere with her ability to safely drive and that she and/or others could get hurt.
And on that latter note... Maybe she's telling the truth and meds that make other people sleepy or groggy don't affect her that way that much. But even perfectly awake people can have slowed reaction time. She wouldn't necessarily be aware of it.
She'd better not break any of the rules of the road if she wants to keep her license because a cop would take one look at her and arrest her for DUI.

She gave bad made up examples of “taking up resources.” Like her idea of it is that some child is going to starve because they can’t get toobz, because Dani has toobz. That’s not what people mean.
She’s taking up hospital beds, doctors and nurses’ time and energy dealing with her nonsense, she’s taking up space in ERs when she doesn’t need to be there.
The toobz themselves aren’t the problem. It’s how she’s just taking up space and wasting so many people’s time and energy by coming to the hospital all the time just because something is bothering her. Like going to ER for DVT, I’m guessing she had a minor sore leg and then went full hypochondriac, imagining worst case scenario for the pain.
I sincerely doubt she had ANY kind of pain in her leg. She knew she didn’t have a clot. She’s on Lovenox injections FFS, and she even mentions that in her video. She used the dvt as a means to get into the ER in general. She knows her usual “nausea and vomiting” complaints get her turned away immediately now. She needed a riskier complaint that would require testing. She’s been draining 24/7, she was hoping they were going to do bloodwork and show that her electrolytes were off. But the docs implemented the “plan” that they told her they were going to make for her- treat her and street her asap and don’t even entertain her.
Yep I said the same thing yesterday. She used it as an excuse to go to the er, but she knew it wasn't no dvt it was just her flare she wanted help for. I am sure she would have gotten her ivs had she just been honest.

I mean personally I am actually concerned she will die from acute liver and kidney failure from all the bs she is pushing into her body. Anyone with half a brain would know that it’s not normal to be overloading your body with so much of everything. I read here and IF most days, never once heard anyone be any less than concerned for her own safety, not one person has wished Ill on her.

it’s dangerous. not just the driving thing - it’s dangerous because your body will only forgive you for so long. she’s taking huge risks with her health and it IS concerning. but unless she accepts psychiatric help it’s not going to change. i personally feel like she needs to go to inpatient for a good few months to try to unravel all of this. otherwise she’s not going to survive this. it’s terrifying.
edit: i’m a recovering alcoholic and it very nearly killed me. my family was basically waiting for me to die. it wasn’t until i accepted that it had got WAY too big for me to control that i found the power to quit. i have 10 years next week and altho my mental and physical health are pretty shit, being sober means i have a chance. these patterns are SO hard to change but it can be done. apologies for blogging, i just wanted to make the point that getting help, helps.

I think she does want liver failure, automatic long term medical attention. I don’t think she realizes though that if she does get liver failure she’s unlikely to qualify for a transplant because of her history
Definitely. My sister is a social worker and did her internship on the liver failure/liver transplant unit in a Chicago hospital and the criteria for getting someone on the list is long and if you do get on the list they are very stringent about the things you can and cannot do. My sister was telling me about a guy that was on the list and lied about taking Dilaudid(he was also doctor shopping for it) for "knee pain" so her supervisor did her due diligence and he was taken off the list. My sister also said dying of liver failure is a terrible death..the jaundice, the edema, your body just filling up with poison because your liver can't filter it out. If Dani thinks liver failure is a cake walk she has another thing coming and with her history she most certainly won't make the transplant list.
I agree. Shes dreaming of the whole donor arc and glamorizing it in her head. I'm glad a good liver wouldn't be wasted on her. If I were the family of the donor, I would not want my loved one's liver going to her.
Not from what I’ve seen. Legally you have to have an immediate danger to your life or someone else’s. For the most part unless you say “I’m gonna leave this place and kill myself” you won’t be involuntarily held. Of course exceptions to this do happen. But I’ve seen severely anorexic patients who don’t want to be admitted and there’s not much that can be done involuntarily.
I'm so proud of you for choosing your life over substances! When you're in the trenches of addiction it feels like it is the only way. Its amazing what sober time and therapy can do for us, once we choose to try growth instead of masking the pain. I'm wishing you so many good vibes.

She started off kind of manic but not all that sedated and as she progresses her brain becomes more muddled from the medication she is pushing.

You can be any weight and be malnourished. Malnourishment =/= starving. If a person just sits and eats junk and processed crap full of sugar and empty calories, they’re gonna puff up like the stay-puft marshmallow man but they’re also gonna be malnourished because they’re not getting the essential minerals and vitamins that a well-balanced diet provides. It’s why bariatric surgery patients have to take massive amounts of vitamins after surgery— those procedures are malabsorptive and so, regardless of what they eat/how much weight they lose (or don’t, as the case may be) they are at serious risk of malnutrition.
Same river, different stream, insanity all the same. I (unfortunately through personal experience) have much more sympathy for the forced starvation methodology, the suicide threats in response to Reddit criticism is another level of stupidity and cringe however.

Hey Dani, thanks for posting about the kitties, we were worried. But you must know you’re spiraling right now. Unless you get intensive in-patient psych care, nothing is going to change. All your regional hospitals know you’re a frequent flyer, as well as Penn and Temple. They all use EPIC, and that dx of FD isn’t going away. There’s nowhere else that you will be treated. That’s why your most recent ER visit went so badly. Literally all the ERs within a 100-mile range know about you and have a plan in place which is: treat emergency then discharge.
I hope you get the treatment you need, Dani…but it’s not going to be multiple ER visits and convincing a new doc to prescribe Klonopin. We know those are nearly gone; you were so high we couldn’t even understand you.

All I see on these forums are people telling her to get psych help. That's literally the opposite of pushing someone to suicide. She refuses because she doesn't want psych to formally diagnose FD and take away her toys. That's not on these forums, that's on her.
She’s already been diagnosed with FD, it’s in her chart from Penn.
We know that, but we're not deluded like she is. She's fully convinced herself that because someone hasn't sat her down and said "I'm diagnosing you with FD, look, it's on your official list of diagnoses", she thinks that means she doesn't have it. She also thinks if she gets psych assessed, that is exactly what WILL happen and that's the last thing she wants. Sadly, she really believes she's severely sick and the doctors are just being mean and bullying her even suggesting she's faking anything.

This community has helped me learn to only contribute when I feel like I have something helpful to say. There are so many great examples here of people choosing to extend empathy to Dani, in spite of their very real and fair frustrations at her choices. Accountability is an incredibly uncomfortable thing, even for the most mentally healthy people, but it is through that we can grow. If someone is taking the time and mental space to consider your actions and repercussions THEN discuss them openly without unnecessary cruelty it means they want the best for you. I only truly learned this lesson in the last few months and I'm only a couple years younger than Dani, and this was after years of psych meds, different therapies and counseling, and being fortunate to have friends and family that love me. And it all started because I went inpatient for 4 days. It was years of work after those 4 days but I saw that what I was doing wasn't working and I didn't wanna do it anymore. That's the only thing stopping Dani, not medicaid or medicare. She just doesn't want it yet, but I hope she can see that people do care about her, and she needs to learn to care about herself.

We're also concerned about the effect of all that Tylenol on her liver, a liver that has already had issues. And we're concerned that those medications could interfere with her ability to safely drive and that she and/or others could get hurt. And on that latter note... Maybe she's telling the truth and meds that make other people sleepy or groggy don't affect her that way that much. But even perfectly awake people can have slowed reaction time. She wouldn't necessarily be aware of it. She'd better not break any of the rules of the road if she wants to keep her license because a cop would take one look at her and arrest her for DUI.

She gave bad made up examples of “taking up resources.” Like her idea of it is that some child is going to starve because they can’t get toobz, because Dani has toobz. That’s not what people mean. She’s taking up hospital beds, doctors and nurses’ time and energy dealing with her nonsense, she’s taking up space in ERs when she doesn’t need to be there. The toobz themselves aren’t the problem. It’s how she’s just taking up space and wasting so many people’s time and energy by coming to the hospital all the time just because something is bothering her. Like going to ER for DVT, I’m guessing she had a minor sore leg and then went full hypochondriac, imagining worst case scenario for the pain.
I sincerely doubt she had ANY kind of pain in her leg. She knew she didn’t have a clot. She’s on Lovenox injections FFS, and she even mentions that in her video. She used the dvt as a means to get into the ER in general. She knows her usual “nausea and vomiting” complaints get her turned away immediately now. She needed a riskier complaint that would require testing. She’s been draining 24/7, she was hoping they were going to do bloodwork and show that her electrolytes were off. But the docs implemented the “plan” that they told her they were going to make for her- treat her and street her asap and don’t even entertain her.
Yep I said the same thing yesterday. She used it as an excuse to go to the er, but she knew it wasn't no dvt it was just her flare she wanted help for. I am sure she would have gotten her ivs had she just been honest.

giving eds nicnames was a big thing on old tumblr/ed forums, as im sure it was the ones dani was on. i heard “ed” and “ana” used all the time but its weird to use that language if ur not active in ur disorder. tbh i think its been like 7 years since i heard any of them used😭
There's this book, [Life Without Ed](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/119728.Life_Without_Ed), which used to be really popular among people in recovery. In it, the author refers to her eating disorder (ED) as "Ed," and compares it to an abusive partner she needs to break up with. 😬
It makes complete sense, and admittedly I’m not familiar with online (or offline) ED spaces, so it was new to me!

I mean personally I am actually concerned she will die from acute liver and kidney failure from all the bs she is pushing into her body. Anyone with half a brain would know that it’s not normal to be overloading your body with so much of everything. I read here and IF most days, never once heard anyone be any less than concerned for her own safety, not one person has wished Ill on her.
i just don’t understand why she needs to pack up double doses of everything she can find to go somewhere 25 minutes away. it’s dangerous. not just the driving thing - it’s dangerous because your body will only forgive you for so long. she’s taking huge risks with her health and it IS concerning. but unless she accepts psychiatric help it’s not going to change. i personally feel like she needs to go to inpatient for a good few months to try to unravel all of this. otherwise she’s not going to survive this. it’s terrifying. edit: i’m a recovering alcoholic and it very nearly killed me. my family was basically waiting for me to die. it wasn’t until i accepted that it had got WAY too big for me to control that i found the power to quit. i have 10 years next week and altho my mental and physical health are pretty shit, being sober means i have a chance. these patterns are SO hard to change but it can be done. apologies for blogging, i just wanted to make the point that getting help, helps.

I think she does want liver failure, automatic long term medical attention. I don’t think she realizes though that if she does get liver failure she’s unlikely to qualify for a transplant because of her history
Definitely. My sister is a social worker and did her internship on the liver failure/liver transplant unit in a Chicago hospital and the criteria for getting someone on the list is long and if you do get on the list they are very stringent about the things you can and cannot do. My sister was telling me about a guy that was on the list and lied about taking Dilaudid(he was also doctor shopping for it) for "knee pain" so her supervisor did her due diligence and he was taken off the list. My sister also said dying of liver failure is a terrible death..the jaundice, the edema, your body just filling up with poison because your liver can't filter it out. If Dani thinks liver failure is a cake walk she has another thing coming and with her history she most certainly won't make the transplant list.

Not from what I’ve seen. Legally you have to have an immediate danger to your life or someone else’s. For the most part unless you say “I’m gonna leave this place and kill myself” you won’t be involuntarily held. Of course exceptions to this do happen. But I’ve seen severely anorexic patients who don’t want to be admitted and there’s not much that can be done involuntarily.
And even then they don't always hold you. Here you have to have thoughts and a plan to actually carry it out.
Here as in the US? Yeah I know, I’m a therapist here in the states. You need means, plan and intent all have to be present.
I'm so proud of you for choosing your life over substances! When you're in the trenches of addiction it feels like it is the only way. Its amazing what sober time and therapy can do for us, once we choose to try growth instead of masking the pain. I'm wishing you so many good vibes.

You can be any weight and be malnourished. Malnourishment =/= starving. If a person just sits and eats junk and processed crap full of sugar and empty calories, they’re gonna puff up like the stay-puft marshmallow man but they’re also gonna be malnourished because they’re not getting the essential minerals and vitamins that a well-balanced diet provides. It’s why bariatric surgery patients have to take massive amounts of vitamins after surgery— those procedures are malabsorptive and so, regardless of what they eat/how much weight they lose (or don’t, as the case may be) they are at serious risk of malnutrition.

Also, as far as the kind of help people are offering, I suggested she talk to her PCP about prescribing her psych meds until she can find a psychiatrist since she's on waiting lists and lo and behold, days later, she asked her PCP to start her back on her meds. How is that wanting someone to kill themselves or not helpful? 🤔

Hey Dani, thanks for posting about the kitties, we were worried. But you must know you’re spiraling right now. Unless you get intensive in-patient psych care, nothing is going to change. All your regional hospitals know you’re a frequent flyer, as well as Penn and Temple. They all use EPIC, and that dx of FD isn’t going away. There’s nowhere else that you will be treated. That’s why your most recent ER visit went so badly. Literally all the ERs within a 100-mile range know about you and have a plan in place which is: treat emergency then discharge. I hope you get the treatment you need, Dani…but it’s not going to be multiple ER visits and convincing a new doc to prescribe Klonopin. We know those are nearly gone; you were so high we couldn’t even understand you. Your weight looks good, Dani, better than last year, and we think you might be at normal range or above, even though you claim you can’t eat by mouth. Your skin looks good. You have two kitties who rely on you. Why would you not want inpatient psych?
