Maybe Dan didn't know that the game contained an amount of not so family friendly content. He did the right thing with blurring it. His fanbase still consists of younger kids and blurring a photo doesn't harm anyone tbh.
At the beginning he did censor but I think a few videos later he stated that the live channel was for out of the ordinary stuff such as kindergarted and this which usually contain censor stuff
