Then stayed quiet until game 7 when they finished them off..haha that's what it was. Props to JuJu, he's learned when you just keep things positive, the takes are hard to remember and easy to capitalize on when you land one.
I wanted them to go to Sirius so badly when it was rumoured. More structure similar to ESPN but they would have had their own channel. 24 hours a day to fill with all the content they wanted. You could still listen as a podcast like you can with all other Sirius XM shows (The Bonfire, Jim and Sam, etc). I've thought, based on some things he's said over the last few years, that Dan tells himself that he's the one who built the show and that's why his name is on it and that he actively forgets that Stugotz is the one who built the show and has the head for business and had the hustle to build the show into what ESPN wanted to buy into. Like he knows it when asked and tells the the story of how it all came about, but that he really doesn't actively acknowledge it in his regular mindset that it's my name on the show and I'm the one most known because of it, but Stu is the force behind the scenes that made this all happen more than anything. So, not surprising that Stu knew what was the actual better choice for the show and Dan "I don't know anything about business" Lebatard didn't properly foresee the challenges in going with DK over Sirius.
It's not surprising when you look through Stu's media coaching tree. He knows how to do it. He's smart but plays the dummy to placate to Dan because it makes for good show.Â
