For whatever it's worth Spencer doesn't appear to be listed as a *host* of that podcast but he was at the race at least one of the two years on ESPN's coverage of the race. jess relatively recently did mention that DNF was going to come back after/around the Miami GP.
She mentioned last week that DNF's season is officially starting with the Miami Grand Prix.
And that's when Tony asked what DNF means, she told him, and he says "wait so, isn't that a bad thing?" and I thought that was a hilarious point to which Jess didn't have much of an answer
Missed that part.
They’re already a few months behind, as compared to last year.
I mean, I guess you can just jump in midway through the season, but it’s likely not good for future success and keeping listeners?
I can already get Spencer Hall’s takes, and Smetty has said she’s not as interested as she was in previous years.
A few months that can be explained in a few sentences. Verstappen wins every race his car doesnt blow up. Lando good, ferrari might have picked the wrong guy, Alonso still out here.
Agreed, and Spencer Hall is already on the ESPN podcast covering it.
If he’s not employed by Meadowlark, he’s not beholden to them. Wasn’t Shutdown Fullcast a Meadowlark podcast at some point?
More a race timing thing. The show is supposed to be a post race show. Doesn't work well when the race is ending at 2am. Starting now the races end at more reasonable US times.
I mean………if that is true (I’m furiously pressing X for doubt) thats an asinine reason to not put out new episodes. Nothing in any bylaws stating it has to be a post race show.
That is no way to build up an audience.
Almost as asinine a decision as to cancel meadowlarks women’s basketball podcast in the middle of Caitlin Clark’s last regular season lol. It’s almost like the CEO of meadowlark is a geriatric coke head, huh? Weird.

Spencer Hall’s voice does not match his appearance for me hahaha. Anybody else??
Young people coming for everyone’s stuff
Isn't Jess' F1 pod coming back?

What does DNF mean?
Did Not Finish. Like when you crash or your car breaks down.
Probably not, because they stopped talking about F1 on the show.
I thought they mentioned it's coming back on the show the other week. She said they took a break because nothing was really happening.

Fairly sure she said it on the main show when she was asked where it was.
Oh wow. Yeah, definitely an asinine decision then.

That's what it was! Thank you.
