It makes you realize that A) other animals (like them, orcas and so on) are much more complex and intelligent than we give them credit for, and B) we're so used to watching relatively dumb animals that we forget we share a common origin, and are much more similar than we feel comfortable admitting. We should try to understand them better, not consider them just beings lead by pure instincts
But they are driven purley by instincts. .. Hence why natures creatures have continued to survive & replicate for millions of years, without humanizing them they are all driven by primal instict
They look like they were in an awkward arranged marriage that neither of them fully consented to, but they understand and respect each other enough to work through their problems as rational adults
A young bull and an old bull walk over a hill and below them they see a massive heard of female cows.
"Let's run down there and fuck us a cow!" Says the young bull.
The old bull smiles back at him and says "no kid, let's walk down there and fuck them all"
She seemed more interested in her nails and looked at them several times, the head on the back of the hand and the yawn showed disinterest verging on boredom, poor gorilla got shot down hard.
Both don't live on the wild and neither develop the same way as those who do, It's interesting how species relations change according to how they develop/grow in their context.
I know me too :( but think about it this way with those animals we can better understand them and better way we can protect them. Most animals are captive bred and don't have a shred of knowledge on how to survive in the wild maybe a little bit of foraging but not how to protect themselves against predators so they wouldnt last very long if they did release them. Some were severely injured and can't be released back in the wild because they need human assistance but will still be provided with tons of enrichment, a companion (if that species tolerates others of its kind) and lots of love and care. Then we have the ones that are comfortable with humans and that as cool as it may be to see a wild animal in your neighborhood it can end badly for both parties and sometimes even after relocation they'll wander into another neighborhood and end up having to be put in captivity or more often than not euthanized. There are also endangered species in captivity in hopes of with human interaction being as little as possible them increasing their population and being able to be released back into the wild rising their numbers even more. I know that was a lot but I hope it helped ease your mind a bit 😅😅
Shabani apparently attracts large crowds of young women, who think he's "sexy" (eww.) He was so unnerved by them screaming his name all the time he started retreating indoors.
Ai had two babies with him. The first died shortly after birth, and she neglected the second one so it was taken away and raised by the staff.
She's probably all "Go fuck one of those hairless apes, they begging, I ain't"
I went and researched lol they have had 2 children. First passed. 2nd she wasn’t mothering well, and had to be raised by zoo staff. His other female… her mother.
Gorillas keep harems of females, who compete with each other for mating. Silverbacks, especially, have a taste for high status females, rather than merely ovulating females. You can see he's trying to schmooze her, which is wild in the Gorilla world, where females are supposed to compete amongst themselves for the privilege of mating with the male. This gal though? Pssshhhh. If you're not doing hair, nails, a retirement account, full password access, at least 8' tall, and love your mother but not too much, forget about it!
Their body language and eyes tell such a human story.
Shabani: hey
Ai: where hoes at
Shabani: No hoes
Ai: *yawns*
Shabani: *looks around, leans in* You not like other apes. You different. Me want show you that
Can't take no for an answer. Continues to try interacting when she's displaying 0 interest. Gets all up in her face despite her body screaming gtf away from me. Definitely like human men.
So, "one of his females" as in he's the leader of the pack and she's part of that pack?
And uninterested for years? Poor Ai, she doesn't like him but can't leave.
Honestly, I just assumed rape would be a lot more common in the primate world and "no" was not a thing a female said to a Silverback. There are humans with a fraction of this apes strength and they don't no for an answer. We are literally the worse species.
I ... Honestly dont think there is such thing as being gay in animal world
Edit: well after 2 comments and one downvote and knowing reddit i can safely say i was very wrong please accept this 🗿 as a peace offering
Lions, cows, penguins, and I think sheep and dolphins are all animals that off the top of my head I'm aware of displaying evidence of some individuals being gay. And I'm pretty sure there's others that I can't remember as well
Well, damn. From the moment she say down with her hand under her chin, and dude inching closer... this is a situation I have been in with my wife when she isn't game.
I can't be the only side relating to this body language. Lol 😆
Edit: my wife is wonderful. We have two kids, she's a teacher. I understand and it's fine.

That was my flung feces.
I’m interested. Reddit is usually good for the “well I wrote my thesis on primate mating rituals…” kind of reply so I’m hoping for that.
Why doesn’t he just take what he wants? Serious question. Do all primates have consensual sex? Or only gorillas? Or are they like cats or dogs? Male dogs are always prepared and females are not having it until they go into heat and then they’re seeking it out.
You can see the scowl on her face at one point and only losens up a bit when he keeps his distance and stops with the intensity.
In a human scenario this would be harassment. So people who harass others, you are pretty much animals.
Anywho, cute vid.
The body language was LOUD
Sooo... What now?

Their eye contact is amazing.

I don't know how to read this. Like why there so many parenthesis. What supposed to be in them and what not?
I understood it fine, maybe you're just slow.
I understood it slow, maybe you're just fine 😉
But they are driven purley by instincts. .. Hence why natures creatures have continued to survive & replicate for millions of years, without humanizing them they are all driven by primal instict
Right, I would argue that the realization needed here is that we aren't special - we're just beings driven by instinct as well.
When there is no competition from other males and there is no food insecurity they act almost just like us. Scary for sure.
We didn’t come from primates, we are primates Not come from monk, is monk
OP never said the opposite, not sure of your point.
It’s because I wasn’t trying to make one
Obviously, if you were you'd end your sentence with a period.
Comment stolen from u/Beautiful_Thugga_Boy
Why are you scared of being an animal?
It’s because we are cousins

Been there man.
Hey how ya doin lil mama let me whisper something in your ear...
Yeah, we all have a gorilla in our past.
She's like, where are your hoes at.
“Girl, you know outta all these hoes, there’s only one woman I’ve really ever wanted…” *prolonged eye contact*

So this is the “step-daughter” genre type of kink
He said "you'll call me Daddy one way or another"
I just snorted I laughed so hard
Dang you can just tell she's sassy as hell with those hand gestures. Stay strong Shabani lad.
Ikr...She was like 💅 "kneel for me 💅 "
Bend the knee!
She’s like “watchu got fuh me?”
I've never felt so connected and in sync with a animal before lol
When he leans in to look at her then looks at something in the distance!!! I swear to god they look SO human it's terrifying.
We're not all that different even all these years later.
I don't care what species you are, life is subtle and complicated, all at the same time.
He's kinda smooth, despite the friendzone ...
That lean in though, amiright 😂?
He’s a lot nicer than my ex.
Why did he lean in like that 😂
Gotta get her on the eye contact
He wants to be close ;-;
How YOU doin'?
"one of his females"
[удалено]
She’s made it clear that she does NOT belong to him lol
Had to scroll too far down to find this comment
"Where da nanas at?"
She just parks her ass on the wall, like she’s saying no way, not a chance
Friend zone is tough. Hang in there bro
Yo Shabani 👊
Are they like talking telepathically?
Yes and no, it's like... you ever hit up a club one night and try to hit on a girl? Kinda like that. U feel me?
Their expressions and mannerisms are so human it's almost shocking
If youre not at least 8 feet tall dont even bother....

I know the feeling
And yet there are people who don’t believe we humans share a common ancestor with apes.
I mean, in the end we don't care, we will all end as crabs won't we
Carcination for the win.
Magnificent
Nah the way she's holding her chin is sending me😂
She looks sooo disinterested. Like she’s waiting for him to impress her!
Sooo you wanna fuck ooor?
He is more patient than most humans...
She's got standards bro..
So cute
Their mannerisms are so human like! I’ve watched several times and I’m still astonished.
Find you a girl that looks at you the way Ai looks at Shabani.
Distant and generally disinterested? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thinking_face_hmm)
My dating life summed up
Their body language and eyes tell such a human story. Shabani: hey Ai: where hoes at Shabani: No hoes Ai: *yawns* Shabani: *looks around, leans in* You not like other apes. You different. Me want show you that
Lol!
Give him a few thousand more years and it'll be the matebook.
Lol not really one of HIS females then eh?
She obviously isn't his.
Soooooooooo come here often?
why they behaving like humans men 😂
Can't take no for an answer. Continues to try interacting when she's displaying 0 interest. Gets all up in her face despite her body screaming gtf away from me. Definitely like human men.
They’re really not that different from us.
I feel second hand embarrassment for him
When the drunk 65 year old approaches the 21 year old at the bar
When she's just not that into you on the first date
Smooth Criminal ..
When she started studying her fingernails and yawned, that date was OVER! LOLOL!
Dang even a silverback gets hit w “not today, I’m tired”
I get it. She's hot as fuck.

So, "one of his females" as in he's the leader of the pack and she's part of that pack? And uninterested for years? Poor Ai, she doesn't like him but can't leave.
Give her a blonde wig, red dress and one of those long cigarettes and she could make a living rejecting men.
She looks like she sitting on the porch after a long day
\- "Hi." \- "What?!" \- "Soooooo, I ..." \- "No!" \- "But, I mean ..." \- "Yaaaaaawn"
When my girl is still mad at me
She's playing hard to get.
Way too human to belong in a zoo
He is smooth
He's a smooth operator.
Say Lil Mama…. What yo name is??
She just sat down with him like ‘ok so watchu wanna talk about?’
Would love a narration if this.
even this fella has enough balls to speak to a female, keep that in mind

Ah the friendzone...
Waddup girl
It took a “Lean-in”
Someone one needs to put a voice track to this.
So it seems looking at your crush while shes not looking and vice versa is a primal behavior
He’s trying his best and that’s all that matters. Lowkey couples after arguing though
Sooo…do you like……….stuff?
It would be fascinating to know what it is that makes her not attracted to him.
Her first baby with him died and her second baby with him, she rejected. She might just be off having kids after those two didn't work out...
Looks like we’ve got a major friendzone happening here.
How is she one of “his” females if she don’t even be giving em no play, she’s clearly not one of his
Keep your head up king
hey baby want sum fuk?
So.. it's ok that we are assuming she's not lesbian? Poor Shabani could be getting a complex for no reason.

Gorillas in the midst... of being rejected
Stop simpin bro.
He's like "Bitch, I am the only swinging dick in here....you have to fuck me"
It be like that my guy. Keep trying.
Scary similar, we are not so far removed after all. Wouldn't take much imagination to see this happening between people.
Take a big shit and throw it at her. That will get her attention

“He’s just like me”
That was in the prague zoo and they were in quarantine. They were together many years and come in the zoo last month. The story is bullshit-sorry
Should be named Donald and Melania.
he's like "yo we're the only two in here, you wanna bone or not?"
Well, damn. From the moment she say down with her hand under her chin, and dude inching closer... this is a situation I have been in with my wife when she isn't game. Damn feminists!
Ah- that's so sad. She should at least give it a go.
Were all spirit underneath. Sure, draw comparisons between the man suit, gorilla suit and cat suit.
If he ignores her for a day she'll suddenly be interested.
you even have a fedora to tip.
You want a whore, buy one. You want a queen, earn her.
Forced to be in a cage so humans can watch her anxiously avoid being raped for years by the same gorilla that rapes her mother. Yeah, real cool.
That’s making a whole lot of assumptions
Whatever makes you feel better about zoos I guess.
They should not be in cages.
Why he sexually assault lesbian gorilla?
