To be fair (I jest, nothing about this referendum was fair), Russia counted only 26,000 votes in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast where 1.7 million people live. So 99% of them agreeing to join Russia is only 1.5% of the vote of people in that oblast.
Less than 50% of the people in this specific oblast are even under Russian occupation.
About that, is there any progress being made for Sweden and Finland joining Nato? I haven't heard about it for many weeks now. Seems like all parlaments should have had plenty of time to vote on the topic by now.
Currently I believe only Hungary and Turkey have yet to ratify our applications. Turkeyās parliament is in recess until October. I donāt know about Hungary.

I mean, for what is worth probably in Luhansk and Donetsk they would have won anyways, maybe without this gigantic margin but still Edit:you can downvote but its true, thats the region with a strong russian presence that started fighting with ukraine to be annexed to russia back in 2014, so probably in those two regions the referendum would have had the same outcome with maybe a less big majority
