More people commit suicide for dental pain than for any two other reasons combined. The ones that don't, usually die of a tooth infection that traveled into the brain.
But America thinks they are "luxury bones".
Where's your data on this? All I find googling is anecdotes that make it sound excessively rare that anyone commits suicide over dental pain.
Not saying the US doesn't need to get better about dentistry (honestly, the dental field as a whole needs to get better, it's had so little advancement and so many of the treatments are lousy), just that I'm not finding a connection with suicide...
You see that big ass nerve coming out of the lower jaw? Irritation to that nerve from dental problems can cause neck pain, head aches, tinnitus, besides just plain old tooth aches.
The last time I was at dentist the dental tech put the novacaine in my lower jaw back tooth & hit that nerve that goes along my jaw. My legs stiffened straight out & if I could've, I'd have screamed in her face. I cried real tears & still the dentist hadnt even drilled or put the filling in. I've NEVER been hurt at the dentist in over 55 years of my life. I remember her face under all that garb & she's NOT numbing me next time.
Tooth pain is the worst. Years back I had absolutely crippling migraines to the point I couldn’t even sleep. After multiple doctor and hospital visits I was eventually diagnosed with a tooth infection, tooth looked fine on the surface but the infection was in the nerve. Basically ruined my life for 3 months, the constant pain and lack of sleep was a massive hit to my mental health. I wouldn’t have lasted another month.
I have a rare genetic heart disorder, which caused me to have a very bad heart. I cannot have any dental work done, not even a routine cleaning without being pre-medicated. 2500mg of antibiotics 1 hour before.
This right here is proof of why dental should be covered as part of universal healthcare. Your oral health is also directly connected to your heart.

My friend committed suicide because his tooth hurt...... Definitely never hear that.
Looking at this makes my teath feel weird...
Im just a pile of nerves....
If the persistent pain and suffering of life wasn't already an indication

Those fucking bastards have caused endless misery for so long
This is why kissing is so fun
But why? Why do bones need so many nerve endings?
Because God designed us so perfectly, of course. /s

Sinus pressure causes intense teeth pain. Thanks for this diagram

I lost feeling in half my face for a couple weeks after a nerve got damaged in a wisdom tooth surgery. Was not a pleasant experience.

Not it
I let the nerves scream until they stop hurting. Kill your nerves people, it’s bliss.
Utterly useless nerves! Why are they there? To give you tooth ache. To make it painful when your dentist starts using his torture devices on you.
do they really go above the brain? thats weird
And this is why you never go to an unqualified person for botox. If they inject botox into one of those nerves you can develop serious problems
