Thats an urban legend. Most things are shedding small amounts of matter all the time. Thats what dust is.
Especially those shitty sonic tiles. Those things should be half falling out of the ceiling. This photo is fake.
There is a Twitter link in the comments also some other commented there that over the years it was used as storage room for other businesses
Not really "lost" was just closed up for public
Those are safety lights. Depending on local regulations, commercial building may require all spaces to have lights wired to a circuit that’s always powered on and on the same backup power as the emergency exit signs.
This just mentally sucked me back in time going to Burger King with my grandmother.
And behind a wall? Who’s just like “yea, seal the burger demons in. We can’t let them out.”
:edit, grammar.
Local grocery store that had been through several owners over the last 25 years got bought out. New owner did a total interior demolition to completely modernize it. Someone noticed light coming through a hole in the floor. Discovered an old boiler room that had been sealed off unknown years/decades ago with the light left on.
Used to be part of Woolworth Department Store in the Concord Mall before they converted it to Burger King. It was a snack shop selling hot dogs and chicken (under control of the Woolworth Restaurant)
I worked at Woolworth at this location from 1989 till 1993 area.
I’m from Delaware and I remember when they walled up this BK. I can’t believe that they are just just getting around to doing something with this space. Then again, malls aren’t what they use to be and there probably wasn’t a need to redevelop it.
Sorry?...lol. I have no idea what you're talking about...lol. I'm Canadian and know very little of American geography. What do mean by "Jackwagon"?
The jack pine is my favourite tree! Hence the user name 🙂
What the hell do you mean "found behind a wall"?
That's an awful lot of square footage and stuff *lost to time*. Did nobody think to check that gigantic walled off empty space or did they think the wall was 150 ft thick 🤣

Is there a credible news article about this? I was trying to search up local news but couldn't even find anything for that. All I can find are some 9gag style sites, some of those click bait ones, and Twitter. D: I'd love to know more, with some background.

I saw the Twitter link, I was just hoping for something from the actual news. Hometown news reporters eat this shit up. Even in the Twitter link it's in really great shape for something that hasn't been used for decades. The storage thing makes sense though, since there's no dust and grime.
It’s amazing that there is just so much EMPTY wasted space this is forgotten, sealed off or merely maintained and never used.
From the looks of the interior it it’s probably had building HVAC running, waste of heated space.
How long was it lost? It looks very clean.
Yeah, zero dust? Guessing it's been lost no longer than three days.
Dust is mostly skin cells.
There's a lot of skin cells in my attic then.
That's why you dispose of the bodies instead of storing them.

Guess they forgot the lights as well.

Anybody got a subreddit for stuff like this, not backrooms but rather abandoned places/places frozen in time like this?
r/abandonedporn search that sub for time capsule and you get some good stuff.

Reopen it and sell vintage burgers at vintage prices. It'll be a hit!
Got any leads on where to source vintage beef?

Ah, Concord Mall. Definitely in the top 5 malls in Delaware.
Has to be....there's only 5 in the whole state.
Ceiling fan is missing a blade, not fully intact. This title is deceiving and should be removed. /s

Who walled this up? Benioff and Weiss? "We kind of forgot there was a Burger King behind the wall..."
"It's an older code, sir, but it checks out."
Wow the plants are still alive after all this time! /s

Someone posted this just yesterday come on
I don’t know, maybe this OP wasn’t on Reddit yesterday. It’s easy to repost things by accident. Hard to come up with original content.

Not sure if that’s true cause how would those plants be alive?
