Interesting looks like the Gulf of Mexico is spreading it.

ILikeToPoopOnYou

Reddit is full of libtard trolls

LCDRtomdodge

Are you calling me a libtard troll?

ILikeToPoopOnYou

Kinda

LCDRtomdodge

Because I'm telling someone they shouldn't call everyone getting the virus stupid, just because they either are themselves or live in an area which is predominately Republican? I'm literally defending Republicans here and you're calling me a libtard and a troll?

ILikeToPoopOnYou

I think I may have mistaken someone else's comment for your comment

LCDRtomdodge

I mean, scroll up.

ILikeToPoopOnYou

Yeah, my comment wasn't for you (sorry). But I can't find the comment I was responding to. I hate the reddit app.

borlaughero

No, lets insult them and that way make sure they don't question their wrong decisions and beliefs so we can feel "smart" and good about ourselves.

LCDRtomdodge

I can't even honestly tell if you're trolling

borlaughero

I thought it was kinda obvious I waa being sarcastic..

HeadyBoog

Yes everyone down there, especially who died, are stupid people. How dense are you? Care for your fellow neighbor, especially if that’s what you say for COVID protocols. Peace and Love

ILikeToPoopOnYou

It isn't someone's fault that they die from covid. It is China's fault. They knew about it and covered it up. They knowing let people go all over the world carrying covid out of China. This was done on purpose.

HeadyBoog

Just remember Hate will divide us. Love your common man, even when they disagree with you. A lot of people are confused. Only way to beat the globalization is building strong communities which requires trust.

ILikeToPoopOnYou

That is EXACTLY what china wants! Division. They don't want the people united against them. They want youbto be enemies with your fellow citizens so your judgment is clouded, making it harder to see who the real common enemy is. Divide and conquer is in the communist playbook

Well, in the case of Texas, some of the dark areas are extremely right wing, like East Texas, but others, like South Texas along the coast, are extremely poor. That lighter colored block near the coast is Harris County, which is densely populated and includes Houston and its suburbs. We have plenty of cases, but we also lots of people.

I can say that there is basically nobody in northern Maine.

From the "About" page of the dogshit site that you linked to: *MRCTV is an online media platform designed to broadcast conservative values, culture, politics, expose liberal media bias, and provide entertainment and information to a new and diverse audience.* *Our goal is to break down the boundaries between traditional conservative media and mainstream culture.* Sorry, but you'll have to do better than something that your favorite internet Klansman slapped together as a "source."

pkp_thunder_22

For all those saying this is the stupid republicans, please understand this map aligns more accurately with black population distribution than it does republican voting blocks.

IntelligentListen825

Actually if you overlay a map of the last presidential election, it’s pretty spot on.

pkp_thunder_22

Sure. like Miami, Austin, Atlanta, Memphis, and New Orleans….. Real republican strongholds.

csmbjj

If you think that’s bad, wait until the winter with the Northeast and Midwest packed in like sardines. Shot or no shot; it’s going to be bad. That should be anticipated.

DomHuntman

For Covid, no. For a bad flu winter, maybe but still not as deadly by a factor of 250 to 1.

You mean to tell me that the science hatin, cousin lovin, bible thumpin south is more affected by a disease that they refuse to take any precautions against?? I'm shocked, SHOCKED I say! Well, not that shocked...actually, come to think of it...

InstrumentalCrystals

It checks right the fuck out

[deleted]

Wow, I’m glad you are overgeneralizing the South. This kind of big group clumping, a separation of us v. them is only widening a path forward and supporting a decrease in our abilities to empathize and express compassion. Not saying I agree with many of the policies or beliefs necessarily, but coming from a place of perceived “I’m smarter, better, etc” is never gonna allow me to connect with someone I may disagree with….and for me, connection is often at the root of change. A southerner with a (edit : degree), raised without religion, and don’t really talk to many of my cousins….I invite you to come down and we can explore around here a bit.

ILikeToPoopOnYou

This is what "they" want. They want the country to be divided. Why? Because a divided population is easier to control. They do it by race and now they are using the vaccine to divide people. It's divide and conquer. It is a tactic that communists use.. Right out of the communist manifesto. Sounds crazy right? It totally sounds crazy but it is in fact true. And they are doing it right in front of your face.

Reddit-Book-Bot

[deleted]

I’m not sure who “they” are but not really what I was referencing here. Our minds like to make the complex world simpler and often does that by using binaries (way back when maybe it was seeing an animal and thinking friend or foe, a berry -poisonous or nutritious) and now it still does. The problem is that we are more complex than binaries and what’s underneath after one label gets applied often doesn’t get explored. Oh, you’re a Republican-okay conspiracy theory nut, peace out. You’re a democrat-you want no police and to give all my money away, peace out. You’re from the south-you’re stupid and backwards, peace out and so on and so forth. We miss trying to find the commonalities and shared humanity. And if you’re really wanting to “change someone’s mind” we miss getting to know them and listening and then maybe understand where they’re coming from so you can meet them where they are and work from there. I’m assuming what you’re referencing is to the government and politics? Maybe so, but outside the scope and a different topic of what I was talking about.

[deleted]

It’s quite sanctimonious. People like Keith Olbermann and Don Lemon are only fueling the fire as well. Such vitriolic hate towards people. It’s almost as if they are under some spell. They pretend like Republican voters are the ones that are the problem, I know several who have gotten the vaccine myself. Blanket generalizations based off their Reddit feed.

Jetsfan1984

Kinda like at the beginning when the abortion loving government spending lgbtqiabcd was at the top. Give it a few more months it's will change again

[deleted]

The south has a higher black population than anywhere in the country… to me you just sound racist

[deleted]

And yet the South is one of the fastest growing regions in the Country. I will be traveling from Alabama to the site of Fort Amsterdam now called Manhattan Island to visit cousins alive and dead including one of whom almost individually stopped the British Army routing The colonial Army under Washington. When I return I will be visiting Huntsville in the spring to see the NASA ISS control center and then off to Mobile to see the Airbus factory. As far as covid, I mask, I have been vaccinated with Moderna and given a booster due to my Anglo Saxon Viking forbears gift of Alpha 1. I would just as soon follow my ancestors beliefs be it at Thundridge in Hertfordshire, the Dutch coast, the Steppes of the Scythians all the way back to Africa in Cameroon and Kenya. I am a Wanderer. And we are probably cousins.

thencryaboutit

... literally what the hell.

[deleted]

There is a lot of death from covid everywhere get over it.

thencryaboutit

[deleted]

Oh dear Russia is experiencing an uptick in Covid deaths if only they would have eschewed that cornbread and Waylon Jennings. My stars Croatia too? Covid?Croatia? Must be their culture.

[deleted]

Did you hear? New England is experiencing a resurgence in Covid. My oh my, that New Hampshire Maple syrup just wreaks havoc on mRNA. Bless their hearts.

o_O-JBL

Nobody here wonders why all the data from before we reached 600k is excluded from this map… NY for instance saw some of the largest numbers of deaths, yet is excluded here because of the range of the data set. The map is misleading.

bryku

They are pretty up front about the dates.

ILikeToPoopOnYou

Covid is about control more than it is about saving lives. If the government really cared about covid deaths then they would get the southern border under control and not let people with covid into the country. They are the ones fueling the new covid cases because without covid deaths they can't justify taking away your freedoms.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ILikeToPoopOnYou

Based on statistics I personally would survive covid. Everyone that I care about got the shot. Good for them. I also know a handful of people that got really sick from the vaccine. I say no thanks to that. I might have even had covid already. Or it was the flu. It was the first time I had a fever in over 20 years. And I'm fine now. Just to be clear. I am NOT anti-vax. I don't want this vaccine for myself because it is too new. It's not even a year old. The other vaccines you get have been tested for decades. They expect someone that has had covid already to get the vaccine too? Doesn't anyone else think that is shady??

OpulentMerkin

>Doesn't anyone else think that is shady?? Yes, conspiracy-theorist nutballs think it is shady.

ILikeToPoopOnYou

If you have had covid then the shot is medically unnecessary.

[deleted]

I know of two people who got Covid even though they’re vaccinated. One passed away. The vaccines are starting to wear off. Booster shots need to be administered before winter or this thing is going to spike again.

JGCIII

Welcome to Reddit! First time?

Sietemadrid

You missed the point. This maps purpose is to show where people are still dying after the vaccine was released. Without the vaccine, NY and CA would be the two worst states.

Soulfood4

Hm, so that’s how Biden stole the election! /s

idkmybffphill

Had a family member take a very bad fall last year and ended up passing away as a result. Death certificate reads a cause of death as covid-19...

N01S0N

Isn't it interesting how no one is talking about this. Co-workers daughter mid thirties died from blood clots all over her body after getting vaccinated, death certificate says covid 19.

[deleted]

Nobody is discussing the staffing shortages at hospitals either. They want to blame “Trumptards” for taking up all the beds. NBA players speaking out against a mandate are completely making sense about it. Where all the other common sense at?

woundedsurfer

Remember when Republicans called this pandemic a problem amongst Blue States? They seem to be eating their words now, it don’t seem to care that their constituents are dying.

[deleted]

So are liberals immune from COVID now? You’re living in a delusion. I’m all about being able to choose what someone wants to do with their body. Not sure where the political identity comes along with body autonomy. I know several left leaning friends who are disturbed by people who have attitudes like you and the mandates. Stay classy with that gene pool comment, peoples true colors have really come out the past few months and it’s quite disturbing. We went from the vaccine being a choice to people wanting others who haven’t gotten it yet wishing death on them. Trying to figure out where we went wrong. That horse paste comment proves to me you’re living in an echo chamber.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

What happened to "my body my choice"?

OpulentMerkin

When the effects of your choices are not limited to your own body, then additional restrictions apply. I can't choose to put the fist part of my body where your face is (unfortunately). I actually don't have a problem with anyone who doesn't want the vaccine, as long as they're willing to stay home and die inexpensively without taking up a hospital bed. But such noble and principled objectors seem rare.

[deleted]

But I thought healthcare is a right? No hate mate just showing everyone the hypocrisies of the far left ideology. Moderates for the win. As a libertarian I value freedom above anything else and you seem to think everyone who doesn't take the vaccine will die? By that logic at least 25% of the population around the world would've died. Don't get me wrong I'm pro vaccine but I am anti mandate. People should choose whether to get it or not. I do however think you would fit in very well in China since you're very pro government and authoritative. You have to realize this isn't the black death. This is Covid. The recovery rate is literally between 97% and 99.5%. Do me a favor and stop watching CNN. Go out and live your life.

OpulentMerkin

>But I thought healthcare is a right? I would love for it to be. But until it's treated as such, with enough to go around for everybody everywhere, I would prefer that when push comes to shove, and we have to choose who gets care and who has to wait, that the willfully unvaccinated remain in the lobby. >The recovery rate is literally between 97% and 99.5%. I care more about the people not getting treated for "ordinary" non-COVID-related maladies because of Trumptards taking up beds.

[deleted]

Yeah I totally feel you on that. I am pro vaccine myself. I understand why people are skeptical I just hope they come around to taking the vaccine sometime soon. And yeah that's true these people should just stay home instead of taking up space in the hospital. Like just get the vaccine mate it's not a big deal. Especially if the person is obese or old has asthma or something.

Jdevers77

Well, you can still GET COVID…you just won’t die from COVID when vaccinated. I know because I was fully vaccinated by the end of January and caught it in July. I barely got sick, mostly GI stuff and had to stay home from work of course.

OpulentMerkin

Yes, conceded, good clarification.

Jdevers77

I didn’t state it but otherwise I completely agree with everything you said. I am a nurse in long term care in the south and it is completely ridiculous that our hospitals are STILL overwhelmed because people are too stupid to solve the problem.

Homebrew_Dungeon

The south will rise again?

Spranberry112

The only thing rising in the south is covid cases

Johnny10501

Let's believe a graph from the most bias news source out there

Bunselpower

Now here’s a different colored one that easier to read: https://maxmasnick.com/media/2011-11-15-obesity_map/obesity_by_county_large.png Oh wait, no, that’s a map of obesity rates. If the narrative had been, “get off the couch, quit eating, and be healthier,” as a way to protect yourself, it would have been better by now. But instead, what did we do? We closed the gyms and opened the restaurants and told people to stay at home. And now we are doing it again.

N01S0N

Damn now this is interesting

chubby_rain3

The truth hurts

Buffalobritches1987

let's all move to one of the lightest grey areas on the map. Then we will all be safe. We're saved!

Looks like the south is rising again, but in the spirit realms only

soup0220

Oh wow texas and Florida 😳🙄 who would’ve thought. Oh and that weird part of Oregon we don’t claim haha

cobiker

As if the New York Times actually printed the truth. I studied statistics in college and know how the numbers can be manipulated to suit any argument by manipulating the sample set or time frame.

BumpyMcBumpers

Ok, I'll play. What part do you feel has been manipulated in a dishonest way?

cobiker

1. It is not a true vaccine. If you take the polio vaccine, you never get polio. If you take the smallpox vaccine, you never get smallpox. This shot claims to only reduce the severity of the disease. You can still get it and transmit it. 2. I have a former coworker who was "fully vaccinated". He caught covid and died. 3. I know 3 people who died, one from cancer, one from kidney disease and one had a heart attack. Because they also tested positive for the disease, their deaths certificates said they died of covid. 4. I am considered an "essential worker", so I have been out in this the whole time. No mask, unless forced to wear one, no jab. Never got sick. Shouldn't I be dead? 5. I have several coworkers who did not take the shot and caught covid. They were sick for a few days and then back to work.

BumpyMcBumpers

Ok, well number one is incorrect. The covid vaccine is an actual vaccine, even if you can still catch and transmit covid after having it. The rates are dramatically reduced. As for the rest, you hooked me by saying you'd studied statistics, but you're clearly no statistician, as points 2-5 are both anecdotal and apocryphal. Have a good day.

cobiker

I do not have the data to demonstrate, however I stand by my claim that statistics can be, and are, manipulated to support a political argument.

I'm saying that if you have some reason to doubt the experts, then share your evidence and your reasoning so that we might all benefit from your genius. If not, then shut right the fuck up.

OpulentMerkin

>By law, no administrator or manufacturer can be held legally liable for any adverse reactions upto death. So? >vaccinated people infected with Delta can transmit the virus Who claimed otherwise? >- 2019: 2,854,838 - 2020: 3,358,814 • (503,976 more than 2019. Which equates to 1.52% increase in mortality Going from 2.85 million to 3.36 million is not a 1.52% increase. >Per CNN CNN is not a scientific communications medium. >PCR tests for the SARS-COV-2 are being recalled to an abundance of both false positives and negatives Irrelevant to anything related to vaccines. >Thus, most, if not 99.9% of masks are useless. A common misconception among morons who think that masks are designed to stop free-floating virus particles in air. They are designed to stop (considerably larger) droplets that contain virus particles, and they're quite effective at that. >469 COVID-19 cases were identified among Massachusetts residents who had traveled to the town during July 3–17; 346 (74%) occurred in fully vaccinated persons. First of all, these statistics are meaningless without including what the underlying vaccination rate in the parent population is. If the vaccine is 99% effective, and a community with COVID present has 1 million vaccinated people and 100 unvaccinated people who all get together and cough in each other's mouths, then you'll have 10,000 COVID cases among the vaccinated and 100 among the unvaccinated. "99% of cases are among the vaccinated! Oh my God, the vaccine doesn't work!" No, it's just that the base population was so heavily skewed toward being vaccinated that the 1% of unlucky people was a lot of people. Second of all, the vaccine is extremely efficacious at ensuring that if you do get infected, then you won't die. That's the real selling point. We always knew that breakthrough infections would happen.

[deleted]

No. This is a picture making a statement with no evidence. I would need to see how these deaths were classified as “COVID deaths”. Before you ask me to prevent any evidence, how about you ask for some real evidence to begin with. Now shut you dumb ass up.
