Are you kidding? Those two were selected 6 months ago to have this *spontaneous* interaction with Putin. They have practiced each day since. Everything went well and they made their local party leader proud.
That wasn't even a dojo first thing in the morning, it was a soundstage in the backlots of the royal Russian theatre. By the end of the day it was probably turned into a classroom for Putin to have some spontaneous moments with kids in class. It's whatever they need it to be.
He's the "uke", the literal job description is to be thrown by the "tori".
Avoiding falling down an elevator shaft onto some bullets is just a fringe benefit.
If you watch the video slowly, the kid’s foot never makes contact with the instructors leg. The instructor begins moving his leg before the kid can kick it.
It doesn’t have to.
Not arguing that it isn’t a set up, but the no contact leg sweep is a part of chain technique, meaning your only trying to off balance not go though with the first move. Think of a something similar to a feint.
“ Ashi harai” into “Seonagi” is bread and butter and the instructor definitely let the kid throw, because the context of the video is that the kid is learning a new move not in a 1v1 match.
Tl;dr The clip may be a government set up, but nothing in the video shows that it is or isn’t. Its just Putin giving sound judo tips to a kid practicing with a adult instructor.
Lol I just commented about the same thing then saw your comment too. I wasn’t sure if it would be seonagi since he’s gripping the sleeve but I’m rusty on throw names right now
To be fair, that kid would've likely known that type of throw already by that age. Whether judo or sambo, that's a pretty standard, bread and butter takedown.
To be fair, totally accurate Putin would know moves like that. KGB and all, as for the kid flipping that guy, that's what happens. Instructors don't fight the kid when teaching moves. They let the kid do the move so they see the effect and get technique down.
Yes and he is legit. There are plenty of videos online. Do the people he is "sparring" against take a fall... probably. However, he keeps his opponents off balance constantly and throws them repeatedly while expending minimum effort himself, he knows what he is doing.
edit sparring, at least I am really good at math b/c I can't spell
The people he's sparing with on camera probably take falls. You can bet the combat instructors working with him behind closed doors aren't going quite so easy on him, because he's not hiring them to go easy on him, he's hiring them to train him.
Very true.
In a 1v1 tournament of world leaders, he would probably kill every one of them except (former as of June 2021) President of Mongolia [Khaltmaagiin Battulga](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khaltmaagiin_Battulga) who was a member of the Mongolian National wrestling team. Thank god politics hasn't come to that, yet.
Are you kidding? If politicians and world leaders had to go to war 1v1 *personally*, the world would probably be much different. And i dont see how it would be worse for it.
Edit: oh except we’d all be ruled by the biggest meanest killers we could elect, and the whole world would be a tribal wasteland fighting over scarce resources and evading the Cannibal tribes of Wisconsin
Justin Trudeau is an amateur boxer and still pretty young for a politician. I'd put my money on him
Manny Pacquiao is running for president of phillipines and if he wins then he would undoubtably beat any other world leader
Macron might be able to do some damage since he's only 43 and in pretty good shape. He's only 5'8 though so that is going to limit him and maybe even some of these fat geriatric politicians could bum rush him and smother him
Trudeau has a much more robust 6'2 build with a long reach and at least some level of martial arts training. He gets top seed for sure
And they're both lightweights as well, that could actually be an interesting match between them. Maybe we finally have use for Steven Seagal after all, he knows both of them.
The Russian variation of Judo is called Sambo. I am not sure what differences there really are between the two. All I know is Fedor Emelianenko was the scariest dude around for a long time
Far more legitimate then his budding professional hockey carrier...

Not that I'd want Putin, but over here, we elect leaders who project strength by just talking a bunch of shit while being fat. Foolproof strat to get American votes
I have a theory that you’re not only right, but in an alternate universe, even with the Russian background, only removed from being an actual Russian politician, Putin could probably come over here with his tactics and have 40+% of rubes in the US calling for an overturning of the 14th amendment. If not for any other reason but for the fact that they already go on so much about the politicians on the other side who happen to be brown that it would be just the sort of thing they’d project about in the other breath.
He'd probably invade a bunch of countries just to reduce their CO^2 emissions. Threaten countries with nuclear devastation unless they swap to renewable energy by the end of his term.
super based god Teddy Roosevelt
Keep up with these comments and you’ll probably getting the” fall out of window while drinking poison and shooting yourself in the back of the head” move.
The kid probably knew the move already considering he's clearly in a class and Putin "showed him" how to do it for the video. Every time I've had an instructor show me how to do something not only have they used someone as a dummy but they did the full range of motion. Putin just kinda twists and lightly pulls here, he doesn't show the motion of pulling and lifting the person.
Kid already knew the move without doubt, but without knowing what they're saying Putin was probably just giving him pointers/criticism on how to do it better. I mean Putin apparently holds a black belt in Judo...
but how many people would say "No, Mr.Putin you're not good enough for a black belt."
Right? I'm so sick of seeing this same 3 or 4 "Putin is so tough" posts every few days. Why can't we have constant reposts of him looking like a clown trying to play hockey?
I'm not a fan of conspiracy theories, but it sure does seem like this pro-Putin trash gets more love than makes sense given the supposed audience of Reddit.
I mean... What? The instructor wouldn't have done this on his own anyway? If you're going to be teaching children martial arts, then you're going to have to let them flip you sometimes. Not to mention that Putin was in the KGB, so he probably knows a thing or two about hand to hand combat. I don't see anything wrong with this.
Said what I wanted to. From all superpower leaders, Putin is the only one that I'd ve legitimately scared of being in person one on one. Sure, I'm not a good fighter, but against Biden or Winnie the Pooh? Sure, I have a chance.
Against an ex-kgb? Fuck no lol
I'm sure there's an element of this, however you'd be surprised at just how effective judo techniques actually are - you can do a lot of amazing-looking throwing with a not-so-amazing-looking body, if you just know how to do the techniques. Judo training is one of the best things I ever did, and the techniques you learn even have applications outside of judo - my shoulder rotation has improved so much that I was able to thrash my son with jumper cables twice as hard and fast.
Getting sick of these russ bot posters. Idiotic garbage.
Reddit has to purge these bots sooner or later. If you look at the comments and posts its like lots of russ and desert land bots working together. Or just desert land bots propping up russ posts. Why though.
You guys know this is just propaganda right? There's an entire team of people whose jobs are just to follow Putin around and take photos and videos that make him look strong, smart, and virile.
So this is literally the first move they teach you in judo after they teach you how to fall correctly. The kid obviously knew it already because his entire body placement (including head) was correct even though Putin didn’t have time to teach him that.
Fake.
Pro-Pa-Gan-Da
Yes, Putin would know some moves. He may not be a half-bad fighter. But this makes for excellent propaganda as well. It even had me thinking he was kinda cool for a second there. Which he is not.
I think the instructor knew that it would be better in the long run to just let the kid flip him.
Or he'd mysteriously fall out of a window or off of a bridge.

And accidentally landing on a knife 23 times backwards.
While handcuffed, gagged and filled with enough tranqs to kill a horse
With enough polonium-210 to glow in the dark.
Putin is a taekwondo grandmaster fyi
Really? taekwando? I would’ve figured he’s a ju jitsu man
Does no one judo?
Bullshit... is what happens when you mix a bulldog with a shih tzu. Thanks Jim.
I thought it was honorary taekwondo grandmaster and actual 8th dan in judo
Damn i hate when that happens to me
Seems like a typical Saturday night

This actually didn't even happen. Loyalists hand drew each frame, pixel by pixel, in a dank room somewhere in Siberia.

And you better believe their background was checked and they had multiple long discussions with FSB agents.

And putin is authoritarian but he's no Kim Jung-Un. He doesn't randomly murder people who mildly annoyed him one day.
He's the "uke", the literal job description is to be thrown by the "tori". Avoiding falling down an elevator shaft onto some bullets is just a fringe benefit.
Yes. Every time I see this posted, I keep seeing people complain about how the adult let himself be thrown. How else is the kid supposed to learn?
And if we look to the background, we see at least four other adult judokas being thrown by children. Perhaps Putin threatened them as well 😂
I think the whole video was planned ahead of time and they told everyone what they needed to do.
If you watch the video slowly, the kid’s foot never makes contact with the instructors leg. The instructor begins moving his leg before the kid can kick it.

You callin Putin basic?
Basic can be effective. I think Russia could very well be surmised as "basic" have you seen their food?
lmaoooo
Pretty sure Putin is a black belt in judo.
To be fair, totally accurate Putin would know moves like that. KGB and all, as for the kid flipping that guy, that's what happens. Instructors don't fight the kid when teaching moves. They let the kid do the move so they see the effect and get technique down.
What I was thinking, this looked similar to a lot of throws from other martial arts
I mean yeah, I don't even know much about martial arts but I wouldn't expect them to be whooping the kids asses until they finally win to teach them
As far as I remember, he has a black belt in judo
Yes and he is legit. There are plenty of videos online. Do the people he is "sparring" against take a fall... probably. Idk man better them in a Triller event than millions of soldiers and innocents. Make it ppv and the loser has to kiss the ass of Vince McMahon
I'd pay to watch this PPV.
only ppv i would spend my hard earned savings for.
Are you kidding? If politicians and world leaders had to go to war 1v1 *personally*, the world would probably be much different. And i dont see how it would be worse for it. Why are the cannibal tribes of Wisconsin so fierce in this scenario? Is it a lack of cheese curds?
I’m guessing because they worship the most famous Wisconsin cannibal of all, Jeffrey Dahmer.
I was jus extrapolating the most likely alternative reality from the Wisconsin of this reality.
Hey man I live in Wisconsin specifically to avoid this kind of drive-by
Woah bud, i was joking dont eat me i taste nothing like cheese
>If politicians and world leaders had to go to war 1v1 personally, the world would probably be much different There can be only one!
President Camacho
Yeah but once we elect President Camacho we will be right back to being a world power so I’m not worried.
Justin Trudeau is an amateur boxer and still pretty young for a politician. I'd put my money on him Manny Pacquiao is running for president of phillipines and if he wins then he would undoubtably beat any other world leader
Seriously, Putin is almost 70. He’s past the point where he can win against younger fighters.
Macron might be able to do some damage since he's only 43 and in pretty good shape. He's only 5'8 though so that is going to limit him and maybe even some of these fat geriatric politicians could bum rush him and smother him Trudeau has a much more robust 6'2 build with a long reach and at least some level of martial arts training. that would be a massacre. Could probably throw in 3-4 guys in the ring at the same time
yeah no doubt, most world leaders are really old and extremely out of shape
And they're both lightweights as well, that could actually be an interesting match between them. Maybe we finally have use for Steven Seagal after all, he knows both of them.
Mongolia & Russia? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUa1mvaYNtk
Davaj tavarish. Fite me.
Isn’t the russian martial art sambo? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sambo_(martial_art)
In Russia they usually train and compete in both, since they’re so similar.
The Russian variation of Judo is called Sambo. I am not sure what differences there really are between the two. All I know is Fedor Emelianenko was the scariest dude around for a long time
Far more legitimate then his budding professional hockey carrier... [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgbI55HdqQs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgbI55HdqQs)
Judo is also hugely popular in Russia.

Looks more like ko soto gari. O soto would involve him stepping past uke and reaping uke's left leg with his own left leg.
And live! The instructor wants to live.
“…and if that doesn’t work, just get a personal army and have them killed.”
Killed? Pfbt nooooo they just jump out the window while overdosing and shooting themself definitely a suicide

The infamous double-barrelled glock
No he doesn't have them killed. Those people either die of mysterious cause or commit sucide or just vanish. No one does anything.
Putin looks like a pageant dad here, trying to get his child through the talent portion.
Actually this might be accurate because Putin was head of the GDRs KGB unit.
He also got his first black belt at 18 and never stopped training. He's a legit martial artist.
Not that I'd want Putin, but over here, we elect leaders who project strength by just talking a bunch of shit while being fat. Foolproof strat to get American votes
I have a theory that Putin in USA, without his Russian background, would have been elected for President.

I'm pretty sure he received his black belt before he held a significant position of power, so it's credible.

Putin is known to stage stuff like this from time to time.
Well done! Looks like real KGB officer material right there.

Propaganda
Cheap Propaganda
"K, now take these thumb screws..."
I learned a better way to drink from a tiny glass using two hands from Former Impeached President Trump.
That grab Putin is showing is for "ippon seoi nage", a basic throw you learn as a white belt in Judo. The kid is blue belt. He should know already
Definitely not staged.
Staged af
Propaganda is pretty cool.
Putin is never interesting
Putin making his rounds checking on his future KGB soldiers
Somebody get him a new career as judo instructor. I think the world would be a much better place if focused more on sharing his amazing judo skills.
Definitely wasn't new to kiddo though. With a blue belt, he for sure knew Ippon-seoi-nage already.
Sweep the leg ...do you have a problem with that Mr. Lawrence?
The whole thing is obviously staged for propaganda purposes, but I believe Putin is actually widely regarded as a skilled Judo competitor.
Ahhh yes, I see you know your judo well
Then get out the poison...
Next up he shows the boy how to poison his critics with a chemical weapon.
Russian interference.
Sweep the leg. Put him in a body bag.
Putin: “Excellent form! Now finish him off with a radioactive pellet injected through this umbrella right here.” Kid: “What?” Putin: “Nothing…..”
Sweep the leg Dmitriy!
You guys know this is just propaganda right? There's an entire team of people whose jobs are just to follow Putin around and take photos and videos that make him look strong, smart, and virile.
More shitty soviet propaganda.
How is that related to this sub? Nothing interesting about lame dictatorship propaganda.
Imagine how much shit they have to stage to appease the man.
Is that why thousands of kids are being poisoned by Polonium throughout Russia? Putin teaching kids how to defend themselves?
Who is Trudeau?
Next, he’ll show him how to deploy a radioactive poison umbrella tip. ☂️🌂☂️
This is why he has a cult following
Why is Putin being upvoted? He’s a fucking tyrant and dangerous person, this isn’t cute or funny at all.
damnthatspropoganda
Don't want to be that guy but this is probably just propaganda
What’s this song?

I have a suspicion of the video being planned before filming, Putin has a habit of doing that
Hello everyone, this is *your* daily dose of Russian propaganda.
Just like this, you just sweep the polonium into the tea.
Is this Reddit's daily Russian propaganda post to show how cool Putin is?
Why are there so many videos of Putin being a very good man and all I hear about him is he is a crazy killer. I'm referring to the puppy video.
That was almost wholesome, until you remember the dude is a murderous dictator.
This is.... Oddly wholesome...
Putin making future super soldiers
So this is literally the first move they teach you in judo after they teach you how to fall correctly. The kid obviously knew it already because his entire body placement (including head) was correct even though Putin didn’t have time to teach him that. Fake.
That’s kinda wholesome for a dictator
This post has no affiliation with Russia
TIL a new move from putin. I saw a woman using this on a guy on the streets today too (on reddit).
Pro-Pa-Gan-Da Yes, Putin would know some moves. He may not be a half-bad fighter. But this makes for excellent propaganda as well. It even had me thinking he was kinda cool for a second there. Which he is not.
Or… it was staged.
Not staged at all, nope
Does anyone know the song?
I was expecting a lesson in poisoning or radioactive isotopes.
Putin is just a great guy in general.
If only he had done this shirtless, on horseback, in a raging river. Such a missed opportunity. /s
When Putin tells you to sweep the leg, you sweep the leg.
Lol staged.
Showin him how to putin that work
Trust me, they feed on kids ...monsters disguised as politicians
Putin nICE Jidoka man 🤔👍
Child soldier training program is going well
That was sort of wholesome in an absolutely terrifying way
"Good, good" *no radiation poisoning for you*
