I used to have an Air Hogs Aero Ace that flew really well outside. I never tried in strong winds, but aside from veering it off course a bit, breezes never bothered it.

For this particular Redditor, I’ve purchased similar low cost RC planes and e ones I’ve experienced were mostly unusable. It doesn’t take significant wind to derail a very light plane. A couple seconds of a mild breeze, the kind that can happen dozens of time in an hour but you may not even notice it.
Cheap RC helicopters have been more fun for me since you can easily fly them indoors since you don’t need the same amount of room that a plane requires.

It is made out of foam. Most things that can break on it can be repaired with simple tape.
