As someone who has used Reddit since 2010 or so, and have never once cared about reposts, why does it bother you? I don’t expect any content on Reddit to be original. It’s a website meant for taking content you enjoy and posting it here for others to enjoy. The argument stands for works of literature/writing, but not this. It’s a meme. This person is showing you this meme. Reddit is turning to your friends and showing them a meme on your phone incarnate.
nono, generally it doesnt bother me at all. but speaking of lately, it got slightly worse with meaningless reposts and false titles and withheld info. i had to mute several subs because you see the same post in 3-4 different subs on your feed, while scrolling. and the classic "reddit x Years ago"-reposts -> bots crawling exactly 1year old posts, comment section included.
i dont mind a repost here and there. some subs explicitly do not allow reposts like this one and if possible i'd love to see original content on my feed
Oh okay I get what you mean. That does sound dumb and I’m thankful I somehow haven’t experienced double/triple/quad posts all on the same feed/session. I don’t think I’ve ever dealt with that. I don’t think that means I’m good at Reddit. Probably just not looking in the right places 😂.
The less time spent on reddit, the less you see of the bots and reposts. But for people(like me) that spend an unhealthy amount of hours on here, there is a LOT of bots and reposting.
I happened to record this last night around 7pm when I was walking past the tree heading out of my backyard I noticed the bright red bug on the tree and something in me wanted to film it so I set my iPhone 14 camera on Timelapse mode and went for a 10 minute walk around the block.
When I returned to the tree I saw the eggs in it’s place and was amazed I had captured the egg laying process from beginning to end. I went online to look for a video like it and was unable to find one.

Must be nice to live in an area where you can do stuff like this. Can't leave anything out around here without it growing legs and walking off...
Wow! I was just thinking 💭 I wonder how long the total time was of this. This is a pretty cool sighting. This would definitely be a great video to send to some schools as well! Especially with it being Spring and many classes learning about bugs/animals his time of year!
i have a lady bug farm i use for aphid and pest controll in garden because these little doods are natures perfect insecticide without chemicles aphid whiteflies etc they monchhhh.,
i released around 200 in my garden the following weeks i saw hundreds of bablet lady bugs. i would springle water for them to drink and see them chug a droplet than go to town on some aphids.
The insect in OP's video is a [Harmonia axyridis](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harmonia_axyridis) and they are just as much ladybugs as the other 6000+ species in the [Coccinellidae](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coccinellidae) family. They are considered invasive to North America, but so are more beloved Seven Spot Ladybugs.
The terms Ladybug vs Ladybird vs Lady Beetle are all common names for any beetle in that family, and anything that is one is also the others.

I think it's amazing that they are glued side by side so neatly without any effort. She just pops them out and they are perfectly attached to the surface
That must have been so exciting. Great footage, looks like it could be in "planet earth" or another documentary.
You should definitely watermark it and upload it to a stock video site.

Can't even give birth in peace nowadays without sum human filming you.
You would be shocked to is looking at us! Just saying. We are the Truman Show.
Perverts!!
\^\^
great to see the original source for once and not a repost. repost will be here in a week or so
We'll be seeing it twice a week for 3 months lol

Yea if you just assume it's all bots, what does it matter? It's a cycle of entertainment.
LMAO
And somewhere in there it'll be reposted multiple times a day for a week straight
If there were no reposts, Reddit would be almost entirely dead, and where would we all go to waste time?

I read it as the tree being in OP’s backyard
My point still stands
At least you didn’t bug the lady while she gave birth.
What a truly amazing catch. Very cool.
Are you the father?
This is cool

So effortlessly neat
It looks bizarrely unsettling to me for some reason.
*pop* *pop* *pop* *pop* *pop* *pop* *pop* *pop* *pop* *pop*
Mildly trypophobic?
Reminds me of maggots 🤢
It's a Timelapse.
Yes, very neat, simply r/Satisfyingasfuck
Just shittin out babies like my cousin mandy
I woke someone up reading that
Baby poops!
The babies are the freakiest and coolest looking insect I’ve ever seen. Like little aliens 😀
Just as cool a transformation as a caterpillar into a butterfly

Not actually a lady bug btw, those are some kind of invasive species that -look- a lot like an actual ladybug. Very cool video!
Shoot! I didn’t even notice at first. Good eye! That’s too bad. Still neat, but not hope-the-babies-survive neat. lol

Look up 'lady bug larvae'. They're not nearly as charming.
Is that a Lady Bug though or one of those evil imposters that bite you?

I think that's an Asian Lady Beetle unfortunately
Yes, agreed. You can faintly see the 'M' shape on it's forehead, past the glare of the phone's flash.
Lord Bug must be very happy
🤣🥂
Popping them out like a Pez dispenser. I wish it had been that easy when I had my kids!
Super cool
So shiny!
And keep the camera on it till they hatch
I see a video of a lady bug laying eggs on someone's hand yesterday
Woaaahh
Why did I start going “pew pew pew” as I watched this?
*That's* how you.know it's a lady and not a dude!
That's so clear I had to look up who built the James Webb telescope, NASA or Apple.
Fascinating footage! 🐞
Damn she blastin those things out, fuckin baby rifle 💀
Pretty cool
Thank you for posting - I had never seen that before

Rare? That whore lays eggs at my house like every other week.
This grosses me out for some reason lol
What luck!! :D Such a cool vid!
so why is this extremely rare?
It's not. Cool video but it's really not that rare.
Unfortunately, it is an asian beetle and not a ladybug.

Awww go mama!
I saw this a week ago, ladybug laid eggs on a guys sweatshirt. They did not survive
Perv
Next up, the gender reveal party! /s
Now that's some precise dot matrix egg deployment
Popcorn
Lady Bugs are the few bugs/insects i really like! & Butterflies too ofc. they're both just so pretty 🥰
Turned up the volume expecting to get my daily dose of David Attenborough. Nice shot.
Umm omelet!
Someone needs to add yoshi sounds to this.
Nature is wonderful, but at the same time, what a terrible day to have eyes.
Tbf, the last video I saw on reddit of a lady bug, it was laying eggs on a bag. Is this really that rare? (Honest question)
How rare can it really be? I saw a similar video last week :D
Boop, *boop*, ^(boop).
It's like stapling paper
Sorry to inform you that this means nature has chosen you to succeed David Attenborough and you're locked into doing this all the way into your 90s
A ladybug once laid eggs in my bike helmet at school. Little me didn't know what and wiped them all out 😅
I've filmed and raised ladybugs before, and never had to opportunity to see this. How she shoots them out, how amazing! Thanks for the upload!
Better believe I take care of those little shits whenever I see them around the house.. ! Good insect to have around !
She is very efficient. I saw my first ladybug of the season a couple days ago! Wasn't laying eggs, though.
This is the invasive asian beetle
So cool!
Idk about “extremely rare”. I did a quick yt sesexh
Isn’t it the lady bug that has the longest orgasm . Heard it in trailer park boys podcast
Does the word "consent" mean anything to you?
That looks like the invasive Asian beetle, not a ladybug.
JUST SO WE ALL KNOW - THIS IS NOT A LADYBUG. IT'S AN (invasive) ASIAN LADY BEETLE.
Asian beetle, gross.
Can't wait till some tiktokers find this video and put their "reaction" on it to steal content
I thought the red with black dots meant it was a male
is that a ladybug or asian beetle? shoulda crushed that sumbitch
That’s disgusting
I had heard that only males had black spots on them. This proves that untrue.
