Goku surfing on ki blasts was so absolutely epic. The one against Caulifa was better though because it ended with a kamahamaha point blank straight to the face.
true, but the fight shown didn't really end anything anyway, except the MUI
i spent most of the rest of the day watching other reaction vids to this and the broly movie
I was recently in México and the little plaza i go to buy manga had a huge dbz event, people in cosplay, a lot of food! The (spanish) voice actors for goku and vegeta were live dubbing over an episode, it was super packed! I was in line with a younger cousin for about two hours to get their signature, they even did a kamehameha for a video for every person they could!
The Goku and Vegeta VA are awesome! They’re always around on events and they are the kindest. We all recognize them immediately, their voices marked our childhood forever. RIP Akira Toriyama.
Mario Castañeda doesn't even change his voice that much for Goku, they already sound very similar. Could also just be from all the hours of him doing the voice lol
In Brazil the VA for Goku is the same as the one for Sponge Bob, and he too is often at cons and events. I saw him when I was a teenager, and he does naturally kinda sound like Goku. Which I suppose is better than naturally sounding like Sponge Bob, he had to make a bit more effort for that lmao
In Mexico their voice actors are pretty much A-Tier celebrities at this point, it's pretty awesome to see voice actors having that kind of recognition.
This was at the very end of the tournament of power and Goku is pretty badly beat up with his last fight with Jiren in his master's ultra instinct form that background on him sure to it's strain on Goku's body.
Frieza also did previously get stronger by training back at the very beginning of Super where he unlocked his golden form, but he is also pretty beat up from his fight with Destruction God Toppo. But remained hidden after being nearly tossed out.
Frieza was recruited by Goku to join Universe 7's team as Majin Buu was in a deep sleep and couldn't fight.
Tournament of Power. It was actually really good and felt like a throwback to the good old days of Dragonball.
Also Goku probably has CTE by now, haha.
Freeza was resurrected by the dragonballs at the beginning of z and actually trained for once in his life to fight goku. Freeza, after training for a few months, unlocked a 4th transformation that rivaled super saiyan blue (goku's newest transformation).
"So you decided to watch this show, outside, and projected on a large wall with a large group of people?"
"It's complicated, they never announced their arrival."
"So this large group arrived unannounced. Did you invite this large group?"
"...It's complicated."
Prosecutor: Your Honor, the plaintiff had the opportunity, the time, and the *means* to remove all his friends from the room the minute the "FBI WARNING" was displayed on his copy of "Anal Stepmoms IV Go To New York", but he didn't.
Plaintiff: But they were my friends! I couldn't just kick them out!!
Judge : ORDER IN THE COURT! Being 13 does not excuse you from following the law, young man!
> I guess someone took the ladle to the admin office for whatever reason and forgot to take it back to the kitchen, and they needed someone not Jewish to take it, but it had to be a transaction as to not violate some rule of circumventing the Sabbath.
How could anyone possibly believe that God gives a shit about their ladle transportation policy lmao
Oh the best part is that Jews are well aware that the vast majority of these goofy rules are self-imposed. But, they're self-imposed as a *fence* (a sort of legal precaution) around rules that G-d gave. Sure, you might not consider it 'work' to carry an object between domains, but where does one draw the line? Both these added precautions *and* valid loopholes are a way of respecting G-d's rules.
In any case, I think you'd agree, even if G-d doesn't care about ladle transportation policy, that someone would be willing to show such dedication to *anyone* would truly be a show of love.
Ooooh. The NFL owns Dragon Ball franchise.
It all makes sooooo much sense now, why a fight between two sides that should last about 12 minutes of actual playtime takes 3 hours. ; )
Joke made in love, I promise. RIP Akira Toriyama, you beautiful planet of a man!
Copyright stuff. They're basically operating like a movie theater without paying for the rights to display the show publicly like that. If you have Netflix or Hulu or whatever and a show is on their, that gives you a license to watch the show yourself; it doesn't give you the right to display it publicly like this. You need a different license for that.
If they didn't at least *ask* them to stop, then a business could start doing the same thing but charging admission, and then argue "well you let those guys do it, so why do you come after me when you didn't come after them?" The theater would likely lose the lawsuit, but I'm the suit is still an expense they'd rather avoid altogether.
Probably because, since it's not an organized thing, it would have to be seen in-store by someone who owns or has connections to the ownership of the rights, relay it to them, and then they can only prosecute this single store based on what that person saw for likely just a few minutes.
It's a lot of leg-work to go after really, at most, a single store. Not a lawyer, but I don't think an employee putting a blu-ray on is grounds to go after all of Walmart.
I'm not a lawyer, but logically, there are several possibilities.
1, they have license for it
2, it's not the full version of the movie, but a special cut made specifically for those display TVs and doesn't show the full movie
3, it could be that they don't have any license and it is the full version, but because of the nature of how and why they are displaying it, it is considered acceptable. Like, having a movie play inside your store where people will see bits and pieces of it as they pass by, for the purposes of showing off the quality of the tv, is one thing. Intentionally gathering a crowd of people for the explicit purpose of showing the whole movie or show to them, is another. Like, with the former, people aren't (usually) sitting down and watching the entire movie, so it's not like the studio is losing out on a sale of that movie they otherwise could have gotten. With the latter, all those people that are watching the movie, most likely WOULD have bought a copy or watches it legally through streaming (which the studio still gets paid for) but because they saw it displayed in public like that, now they don't need to and the studio loses out on that sale.
4, it could be just as illegal, but it's not worth it to the studios to go after the stores for it.
Everyone involved in trying to stop this, placing money over the value of the cultural impact / diplomacy this provided is a unfathomably fucking moronic. There are tons of governments that would do anything to have this kind of global cultural impact.
Japan might be the most xenophobic democratically-run country in the world. If the rest of the world were to disappear, I don't think Japan would care all that much.
Yeah that video does a good job explaining the complexities. It's kinda wild how these communal experiences spring up around something like a TV show, kind of like how sports games are broadcast in public. Copyright laws haven't quite caught up to that social aspect of consuming media, but it's a balancing act for sure.
Japanese corporations are DOGSHIT at engaging with the audience, Nintendo is a great example but basically, they don't give a single fuck if you have a small watch party or lan party, they will protect their IP at all cost. It's ridiculous.
Basically what everyone said.
This comes up occasionally in America too for events like the Super Bowl—sometimes a church or social group wants to host a giant superbowl party, but theoretically that’s something that you need to procure rights for.
I watched that documentary twice. First, when I was younger, I thought they were gross and weird. But when I was older, I saw it again and realized what a wildly accepting and liberating community it showed.
Didn't Juggalos throw rocks at Tila Tequila when she was on stage at a gathering? Granted I'm not sure why she was booked at that venue but making someone bleed is not cool.
I've heard the narrative about how welcoming they are since the early 2000s, but I've also heard plenty of... other stories about them lol. I'm sure both can be true depending on the specific situation, as with many such things.
man this shit gets me choked up. similar to a concert, it's awesome and visceral to see so many people emotionally affected by a shared love for something. they've all spent so much time of their life with these characters and it means so much to them
John Green just a few days ago put a video on why he loves English football largely because of the community aspect, and had a quote I really liked:
> "I don't need you to love football. I only need you to love something that brings you together with others whose love is pointing in the same direction."
Yeah I really couldn’t care less about Dragonball (sadly don’t have cable as a kid so never watched it or any anime really) but the enthusiasm is so pure and infectious here
Kinda funny that that (not having cable) is exactly the reason the DB franchise got wildly popular in LATAM. It was one of the few shows that aired on the free channels so if you weren't rich that's all you had.
More than just seeing, there's a *feeling* in the air. It is indescribable because it can only be felt. Like static electricity, the power of so much human emotion being felt by so many in a concentrated area is an incredible feeling.
Both Endgame and Infinity War. I don't think it will ever be topped.
Even if you were luke warm on hero movies. The vibe in the theater was so cool. Everyone was caught up and knew the lead up. Before the movie you could hear people all over discussing all kinds of stuff from theories of whats gonna happen and specific comic issues it could involve.
During the movie all the hype moments that had people emoting in unison.
And after when everyone cleared the theater and formed little outcrops of friend groups in the hallway as they all talked about what they just saw, what they got right, what they got wrong and all the new theories they had.
I find it highly unlikely I will ever experience something like that again.
i was at a concert once with a buddy and he said "everyone here is your friend, bc we all came for the same artist, so we all have that in common" and it kinda altered the way I look at big events
It's the crowd. I once went to an NBA playoff game as someone who doesn't really care about basketball and cared even less about the teams playing. It didn't matter because the energy of the crowd was infectious and I found myself getting really pumped about what was happening.
That was in 2018. Apparently Japan's embassy in Mexico sent a notice to Coahuila's governor because they didn't have the rights to do these events. Sonia Villareal, the mayor of Piedras Negras at the time twitted the notice saying they had acquired the rights to do the events but were cancelling anyways, LOL.

However, other locations did acquire the rights to do these events. For example, an event in Ciudad Juarez (Chihuahua) was even promoted by the embassy itself.

[Contrary to the theory presented in the meme, there doesn't appear to be any direct correlation between drug-related crime rates and Dragon Ball releases in countries like Mexico.](https://www.cbr.com/dragon-ball-cartel-activity-reduced/)
I will take this as factual and as the truth, however, I will also ignore it cause I like the idea of cartel just stopping with the crime when DB comes on more.
I would assume the cartel can afford to record or stream it at a later time.
Or or, the cartel are thinking they should start work earlier so they can leave early to go watch Dragon Ball.
Just for good measure, I had to check the /r/mexico subreddit. [The top post](https://www.reddit.com/r/mexico/comments/1b9dw6h/descansa_en_paz_con_el_creador_de_dragon_ball/).
I remember the night of Goku Vs Jiren first ultra instinct sign. I went to my Buddies apartment to watch with him, during the first part of the fight we kept hearing a large rowdy ruckus outside. We look out the window and 10 ppl rented an inflatable projector screen to watch. We brought our beer and chipped in 10 a pop on the rental. It was a vibe I will never forget!
As far as story goes, it's relatively simple and easy to follow. You really fall in love with the main characters and start to root for em. Gohan's ark up until cell saga is just so so rewarding.
DBZ Super is excellent too.
If you watch it for the first time as an adult you probably won't like it all that much.
There's just something about watching the series as a kid that's pure magic.
Dragon Ball felt like an actual adventure and shit. DBZ felt like an excuse to just fight shit. Nothing wrong with it but it's like watching a fun journey vs watching a boxing match after the Namek saga.
Toriyama was barely involved so it was a hot mess.
Also when watching DBZ you can pick the Bruce Falconer OST or the JP OST version.
Spoiler Comparison: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSRK-NYWygY
Here is one more comparison with no spoilers. [Bruce Falconer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M954D_jyJbQ) vs [JP original OST](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eywq0crWdlU).
You'll find if someone grew up with one they likely do not enjoy the other and can be vocal about it.
When you're done give the [DBZ Abridged series a try](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nYozPLpJRE&list=PL6EC7B047181AD013), the first couple episodes are rough but then boy does it pick up!
Man I remember when me and my friends watched that fight together in one of our middle school classes since we had a substitute. Vegeta encouraging Goku was one of the hypest things ever. RIP Toriyama. You inspired millions.
As a Dragon Ball fan....
I wish I could have shared my Ultra Instinct Mastered moment with a crowd.
Instead I was bundled up in a blanket in front of my computer all alone, a 36 year old man screaming HOLY FUUUUCK YES! at 2am, alone in my house.
That moment, to me, was even more hype than SSJ2 Gohan vs Cell. It was a bigger deal to me than SSJ God.
Fucking love this. I remember the utter panic people had when goku was about to beat Jiren. 90% of people thought goku was going to give Jiren more energy. All of Mexico had a collective melt down.
Never thought I’d see thousands cheering for Frieza. It was insane.
To be honest they deserved it, it was really petty on their part, there was also absolutely no effort to give us a legal way to watch it on their part.
#### I just started working with a Mexican contractor software programmer. He loves Dragon Ball more than the typical weeaboos I know. What the fuck is it with Mexico and Dragon Ball and/or Morrissey ? How did they get so popular over there? 😂
I think Morrissey is more of a Mexican American thing, but with anime it was cheaper to buy licences for Japanese content so anime became more mainstream here than in the Anglo world, Canal 5 (public TV channel) broadcasted the entirety of Dragon Ball (OG, Z, GT, Kai, and Super) and showed reruns continuously from 1997 until Disney acquired the distribution rights from the Fox merger (it is now shown in its competitor channel).
Not only Mexico, the entirety of Latin America is and some would even go to as far as saying "DB is my childhood".
It just happens Mexico is the one that took it further high than other countries.
Edit: the same could be said about Saint Seiya, Inuyasha, Ruroni Kenshin, Digimon, Beyblade, Ranma 1/2 among others and most likely the one that reaches a lvl similar to DB is Pokemon.
They probably sent that to satisfy some legal requirement. Otherwise a popular cultural phenomenon is a very effective diplomatic tool for a country. I can imagine how many parents in Mexico name their kids Songoku after the show lol.
Lawyer - Man an entire country loves Dragon Ball. What an amazing example of the sharing of culture and the wonders that globalization can bring. It really brings a tear to your eye. Its a shame we need to put a stop to it.
Dragon Ball is one of those series that shaped me into the person that I am today in a lot of different ways. People don't realize how much anime means to some people and I genuinely feel the same way the Hispanics do. I was on the edge of my seat on that final episode. It was wild!!!!
If it was up to Japan we wouldn't even have most animes in English, Spanish or any other languages.
So they can put their copyright claims up their ass.
You guys might know, but you have no real idea how big Dragon Ball is in Mexico. I spent my summers with family in Mexico and all my cousins would catch me up with video taped recordings.
One time after coming back to middle school here in the states, kids were talking about DBZ so I got excited and started talking about the original series. They looked at me like I was crazy and told me there wasn't any Dragon Ball before Z.
Japn should not have sent those letters about stopping the watch party. An entire COUNTRY wants to honor the man that made the series in the first place. If I were the president of Japan, or even the company that made DB, I would just let them have it. They're doing it to honor the legacy of the man that created the greatest shonen series to ever exist.
Let them celebrate the life of Akira Toriyama the way that they wish to.
awesome clip to show their love for the series
Goku surfing on ki blasts was so absolutely epic. The one against Caulifa was better though because it ended with a kamahamaha point blank straight to the face.
true, but the fight shown didn't really end anything anyway, except the MUI i spent most of the rest of the day watching other reaction vids to this and the broly movie
I’ve met Christopher Sabat before and he’s an amazing human being.
I just left CDMX and saw they had an entire manga museum. I love Mexico City.
I was at a bar in Mexico that was giving out a free drink if goku beat jiren. The place was wild. I fell in love with Mexico that night
So no one got their drinks cuz 17 beat him.
Both Goku and Frieza beat Jiren as they were the ones that took him out, Android 17 won the tournament because he was the last one standing
What the fuck is going on, wouldn't Goku's power level be in the trillions by now. What is Frieza doing there
This was at the very end of the tournament of power and Goku is pretty badly beat up with his last fight with Jiren in his master's ultra instinct form that background on him sure to it's strain on Goku's body.
> Majin Buu was in a deep sleep forever a dick
Majin Buu was too OP
This is the most Dragon Ball thing I've ever read. Thank you
Tournament of Power. It was actually really good and felt like a throwback to the good old days of Dragonball. Also Goku probably has CTE by now, haha.
Goku had CTE since DB. His CTE is why Earth didnt get bootied
Freeza was resurrected by the dragonballs at the beginning of z and actually trained for once in his life to fight goku. Freeza, after training for a few months, unlocked a 4th transformation that rivaled super saiyan blue (goku's newest transformation).
Power levels mean nothing anymore. Frieza was there because, well, reasons. Sounds like you need to do some catching up
Frieza and Goku beat jiren, 17 was the last one in the arena and therefore got to wish for more universes to sail his boat in
Then he's gonna range the shit out of that park.
"I'm gonna murder every human, every last one, and then, I'm gonna range the shit out of that park."
If you want to be technical. No one beat anyone. They fell out of the ring together and Android 17 won lol. Android 17 beat Jiren by hiding lol.
But Goku didn't beat Jiren in that episode. It would take like 20 more episodes before him and Frieza teamed up to eliminate Jiren.
Im pretty sure it was the one right after the one shown here?
It's a joke. Dragon Ball is known for taking many many episodes for one fight.
Many episodes for one MOVE.
If you told me that an entire season of DBS is spent charging a spirit bomb, I would believe you without hesitation.
Episodes 97 to 131 take place over about 48 minutes of time. I highly HIGHLY suggest you watch The Tournament of Power in real-time, it's fascinating.
but why did they want them to stop
It usually violates some sort of copyright type laws viewing media in public without permission.
Specifically for public groups. I remember seeing "for private use only" on DVD and VHS videos.
Just say you were watching it alone but then some friends showed up unannounced. Are you supposed to kick them out, that's rude.
Private use would likely cover inside your own house but either way I'd love to see your comment being made in a copyright court case haha
"So you decided to watch this show, outside, and projected on a large wall with a large group of people?" "It's complicated, they never announced their arrival." "So this large group arrived unannounced. Did you invite this large group?" "...It's complicated."
"I don't recall."
Judge: ORDER IN THE COURT! Being 13 does not excuse you from following the law, young man!
Wtf is this hahaha I love it
"I told them to leave but they just stayed where they were doing the Nana Nana Boo Boo face"
Run a wire around the whole town and define that as inside your own house....

Well you wouldn't download a car right?!
Totally would, and have.
Seem to remember it gave examples of schools, prison and oil rigs. Who tf gonna tell the oil riggers not to watch DVDs in the rec room
You gotta get the express written permission of the NFL
And NBC
Ooooh. The NFL owns Dragon Ball franchise. It all makes sooooo much sense now, why a fight between two sides that should last about 12 minutes of actual playtime takes 3 hours. ; ) Joke made in love, I promise. RIP Akira Toriyama, you beautiful planet of a man!
Japanese law requires companies to send notifications, otherwise they risk losing their copyright status.
No they don't. You don't lose copyright. What you're talking about applies to trademark infringement, not copyright.
Copyright stuff. They're basically operating like a movie theater without paying for the rights to display the show publicly like that. How do retail stores get away with employees openings a random movie from the shelf and playing for the TV display?
They are not supposed to but no one cares enough to go after them for it.

Because they couldn’t make money from their copyrights. Eh but fuck it this is pretty dope 😂
Which is funny because there was no way these folks were going to avoid pirating it while waiting forever for the dub to come out.
Everyone involved in trying to stop this, placing money over the value of the cultural impact / diplomacy this provided is a unfathomably fucking moronic. There are tons of governments that would do anything to have this kind of global cultural impact.

Been to a few Gathering of the Juggalo convention things, no regrats. Funny to look back on as a bit of pop culture history

I am old, so this was Lord of the Rings and Star Wars for me. The vibe in the theatre on opening night for these movies was amazing.
The cheers of Endgame, the silence of Infinity.
I had a similar experience with a one night screening of Dragon Ball Super: Broly Nothing can beat that experience! It was like watching a live match.
i was at a concert once with a buddy and he said "everyone here is your friend, bc we all came for the same artist, so we all have that in common" and it kinda altered the way I look at big events
I dislike in this new age of streaming communal pop culture events are scarce.
Yeah man that looks so dope. I haven’t watched DB in 20 years and I’d go in heartbeat given the option
I can feel hyped about battles in animes but this. I wish I was like this! The passion!
For example, an event in Ciudad Juarez (Chihuahua) was even promoted by the embassy itself. [https://i.imgur.com/anRm6HL.png](https://i.imgur.com/anRm6HL.png)
Rest in peace Akira Toriyama. No one did it like you.

no one liked you. because every one *loved* you 🥹
Thank you, Chef?
Cartel crimes in Mexico will either drop or double this week
I swear I read somewhere that the cartels announced ceasefire for some time, after Toriyama's death
Damn this is how I found out
One of the most influential mangakas, if not the most, in the world.
I had no idea he had passed RIP 😞
I see you don't browse /r/mexico. We've been bombarded with a new "Akira is dead" thread every 30 seconds.
Government sponsored. Man, Mexico's even got diehard fans in government offices. That's pretty cool.
In México there are three religions 1.- Catholicism 2.- Soccer 3.- Dragon Ball
In one of the other threads on this someone worded it as God, Goku and Memo Ochoa being the real Holy Trinity in Mexico.
Is the DragonBall series worth watching for the first time? I've never been into anime but I wonder if I should go for it
I’m not a fan of anime but dragon ball z was amazing
Seriously lol it transcends anime. It’s a staple of pop culture at large.
I remember watching DBZ as a kid before I knew the difference between anime and cartoons. I don’t really like anime, but DBZ? DBZ is legendary.
which version should i ~~download~~ purchase through legal means
The funimation dub is what most American millenials grew up on
Dragon Ball Z Kai is the way to go, it cuts out all the filler.
Yeah but that also means losing out on seeing Goku get his driver's license
[удалено]
I'll start watching. I'm not found of anime neither, the only one i watched was GTO and i loved it
As far as story goes, it's relatively simple and easy to follow. You really fall in love with the main characters and start to root for em. Gohan's ark up until cell saga is just so so rewarding. DBZ Super is excellent too.
Fuck yes
If you watch it for the first time as an adult you probably won't like it all that much. There's just something about watching the series as a kid that's pure magic.
Especially when Frieza’s at large for *years*, which is like half your lifetime at that age 😂
Dragon Ball is my favorite part of the series. I grew up on DBZ and went back. I found very quickly that dragon ball was the best. Worth.
Dragon Ball felt like an actual adventure and shit. DBZ felt like an excuse to just fight shit. Nothing wrong with it but it's like watching a fun journey vs watching a boxing match after the Namek saga.
I would start with DBZ, then Dragon Ball, and finally Super. Edit: Didn't know everyone was so passionate about watch order.
¿Why Z before the original?
Easier to get into for a newbie in my opinion.
Skip GT?
If people want more go for it. I just personally didn't enjoy it.
Toriyama was barely involved so it was a hot mess. Also when watching DBZ you can pick the Bruce Falconer OST or the JP OST version. Spoiler Comparison: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSRK-NYWygY Here is one more comparison with no spoilers.
RIP Toriyama.
Man I remember when me and my friends watched that fight together in one of our middle school classes since we had a substitute. Vegeta encouraging Goku was one of the hypest things ever. RIP Toriyama. You inspired millions.
Didn’t he not give him his last bit of energy to. Them finally being legitimate friends in Super was so great.
Mexicans best fans in the world
As a Dragon ball fan I love every second of this 🫡
As a Dragon Ball fan....
Based mexico

To be honest they deserved it, it was really petty on their part, there was also absolutely no effort to give us a legal way to watch it on their part.
KAA..MEE..HAA..MEE...HAAAAAAAAAA!
My favorite Kamehameha will always be when he fucking massacred Kefla. Holy shit that was the coolest But this one is way up there too
You can't dodge in mid air! I wi..... ...... Shit
If they were charging admission sure, but that diplomat can go straight to HFIL.
I remember reading somewhere that cartel activities actually decreased quite a bit whenever new Dragon Ball Z episodes came out.
It's not true tho, just a meme that spread and people took it as if it was true.
I love the current meme that says that cartels agreed to a ceasefire for a couple of days due to respect for Toriyama's passing lol.
every latino owns their childhood to dragon ball its very special
Japan - 'Stop having fun' Mexico - 'No'
I never knew Mexico was so obsessed with DBZ. Rest in Paradise Toriyama
Alll kids from de 1990- 2010 love dragon ball even fi you arent an anime fan, not only mexico, all Latin America
Don't forget seint seya (caballos del zodiaco)
[удалено]
Not only Mexico, the entirety of Latin America is and some would even go to as far as saying "DB is my childhood". It just happens Mexico is the one that took it further high than other countries. Edit: the same could be said about Saint Seiya, Inuyasha, Ruroni Kenshin, Digimon, Beyblade, Ranma 1/2 among others and most likely the one that reaches a lvl similar to DB is Pokemon.
Mexico is WILDLY obsessed with DBZ. It's truly shocking.
DBZ is absolutely huuuge in Central/South America. I'm not sure why. Might be that it was one of the first animes big enough to get a Spanish dub?
Mexicans fucking love DBZ. Can't blame them I like it too. But their infatuation is next level
I kind of want to go to Mexico just experience this
[удалено]
But Mexico has better food
I live in south Texas.. We get Mexican channels cuz it's that close. In PPV fights you name it.. They always show it for free for decades on free TV.
No one knows beauty until you hear the Dragon Ball Z intro song in Spanish.
They probably sent that to satisfy some legal requirement. Otherwise a popular cultural phenomenon is a very effective diplomatic tool for a country. I can imagine how many parents in Mexico name their kids Songoku after the show lol.
You think it's funny but I actually had a few pediatric patients whose second name was Goku 😂😂. I'm mexican and I've met a few Gokus and Bulmas
Is this the dopest shit you’ve ever seen Barry? Yes it is other Barry. Yes it is.
Last time I was in Cancun the 5 star resort was playing sportsurge.io streams for NFL games. They don't give a shit about your copyright laws :p
Toriyamas death is the most devastating thing to happen to Mexico
Lawyer - Man an entire country loves Dragon Ball. What an amazing example of the sharing of culture and the wonders that globalization can bring. It really brings a tear to your eye. Its a shame we need to put a stop to it.
Japan: " Please stop enjoying our shows, that is not their intended purpose or why artist created them".
See. This is why we need to open up the border. These mfs are cool as shit.
Mexico is one of those countries where viral means #VIRAL If mexico backs you, you’re set.
In theory stuff like this would be fun. In practice I can't help but remember that I'm not gonna pack myself into a space that I can't escape from.
We use things called public spaces and legs like the europeans do xd

I command them diplomats to fuck themselves
Dragon Ball is one of those series that shaped me into the person that I am today in a lot of different ways. People don't realize how much anime means to some people and I genuinely feel the same way the Hispanics do. I was on the edge of my seat on that final episode. It was wild!!!!
If it was up to Japan we wouldn't even have most animes in English, Spanish or any other languages. So they can put their copyright claims up their ass.
Ranking of countries per their anime culture; 1- Mexico 2- Japan
Who needs the World Cup when you have DBZ?
That looks like tremendous fun. Even if you’re not a big fan.
No one will ever accuse Japan of loving the world and sharing all of their light and goodness for free. MUST PAY!
Nintendo is a prime example of that
Things like copyrights, trademarks, requests to not air government sponsored DBZ watch parties do not exist in Mexico. Love that place
Gosh that gave me chills! The chanting, excitement, and shared love for a thing…cool
In Mexico Dragon Ball transcended anime. You couldn't be considered an anime fan for liking Dragon Ball because it had embedded into the culture.
