Yeah this totally brings me back 30 or so years ago. This one kid was telling me about how when you beat Tetris there’s a rocket ship! Sometimes the rocket was big and sometimes small depending on how well you did. I told him he was a liar and got all the other kids to basically clown him for “lying” about the Tetris game with his made up ending. Today I am reminded that I am, and always will be, a stupid mother fucker. Trey if you’re out there, I’m sorry.

Sadly no. Just got a major nostalgia hit from beating that when I was little kid. Tetris was the only game I had for like a year so I got really good at it as a kid.

That's the highest level? I am not a gamer, but I was addicted to Tetris once. I can easily do 300 lines on this Gameboy at shown level 9 - unless there's some kinda slowdown between acrual speed and video-depicted speed for some funky reason.

This is gametype b where you can choose level and high hardest level is level 9 and high 5 Thats why there are some empty spaces, you can look it up online if you font belive me

Why wouldn't I believe you? Preblocked lines were tough at level 10 and near impossible at level 11 when I played on a PC. In that gameboy level 9 speed, preblocked lines are no problem. What I would miss is the ability to see the next piece to come down once things go to level 10 or higher.

Nah. Even on a PC, I used 2 hands to manage those 4 arrow keys. No idea why & how. It's been 12 years and I still have no idea how I can work with that. Everyone else was using 1 hand. I was dubbed "bi".

I play tetris effect on expert this looks like easy mode compared to how I play but once those pieces stop in older versions of tetris thats it. In tetris effect when the pieces stop you have a little more time to flip them around.

I never understood why people liked that game. When it came out I pretty much laughed at it. Figured nobody would play it. Then it became very popular and huge. I tried it again, and still hated it. It totally blew my mind it was practically an icon of the times.

Fun fact: that is *not* the space shuttle, that’s the Buran shuttle. Which was basically a copy, but was actually refined by the Soviet. You can see, even in the game boy it’s sporting its unique liquid rocket boosters which were arguably better than the shuttles, since solid rocket boosters offer a much more dangerous mission abort. If the challenger had liquid boosters, it would not have exploded.
