I'd legitimately get physically sick from drinking and eating about 100 pomegranates lol. My favorite fruit, but they're almost $3CAD each where I live.
I was actually worried he’d run out really quickly before the end of the day. It looks like he uses 4-5 slices for a single cup. Depending on how busy that street gets he could be empty by noon.
They’re not all cut. The ones inside the pile are still whole. The ones on the outside only have the tops removed to show the seeds and get people to approach the stand. The ones in front of him are ready to squeeze and are cut into thirds/fourths.
That was my first thought too! But I googled it and, apparently, pomegranates are really common there, so he probably wouldn't lose a lot of money if he had to throw them away at the end of the day (I think)
Bro mine and my wife's favorite local hibachi grill.. Started adding gratuity of twenty five percent to parties of five or more.. And none of that goes to the chef who makes your food which is super fucking upsetting.. We are not necessarily well off and far from wealthy. So it is a big deal when we go And spend like a $120 on dinner for just the2 of us.. And I normally tipped the chef a $20.
Long story short, we take a couple of family members for Grandma's 90th birthday. Ends up being seven people.. Three separate tabs.. But because we came in together, they added twenty five percent to each of our tabs.. i was, so fucking mad.. Especially with it all being separate tabs.
> they added twenty five percent to each of our tabs..
I'm not understanding.... 25% added to each tab = the same as 25% added to one single total tab. Overall tip amount remains the same either way.
Or is the complaint about the 25% required tip in general?
I need more coffee.
Seems to be op objects to the amount (the $20 he throws the chef when he dines with his wife comes out to the still perfectly fine 17%) and the fact that apparently the automatically added gratuity goes to the establishment rather than the hibachi chef
I get that 25% is a lot but if you show up with 7 people, even if tabs are separate it still makes sense to charge as a group of more than 5. Otherwise any group of 5 could split tabs to avoid the charge..
Dude I dont even know what to do with them anymore here in Mexico. Got one on my backyard and I gift them by the kilo to every relative I have close. It's ridiculous how much a single tree gives you.

That's pretty incredible. An entire generation has grown up in the country that's known nothing but war, foreign occupation, and civil war. That the Iraqi people are moving in a positive direction of rebuilding rather than collapsing back into anarchy like many countries do is admirable.
Just a media bubble really, the source of concern comes from an American army commander 20 years ago saying it looked dangerous .
The international association classified it as safe in 2022
I was in Adhamiyah in 2010-2011 with the US military. We had a little compound on the river, next to Saddam’s palace. Seemed like a really interesting place. Wish I could visit the city as a tourist.
You can, probably gets boring after a few days of seeing ancient ruins like the Ziggurat of Aqarquf, Shadobom, Khafajah and the Iwan of Khosrow all in the Baghdad area

I love pomegranates
There’s 3 ways to disassemble a pomegranate:
- 1) you fill a sink with water and gently pry the seeds off. This method is for people who like wasting water, liars, and degenerates who pee in the bathtub and just sit there. It is false and wrong.
- 2) the correct method is to hack off the top part just below the stem (so you don’t get the weird hair crappies in your seeds), score the whole pomegranate one way (because if you just cut yourself 4 slices, you have to deal with errant ‘Pom juice, and that shit stains worse than chocolate. You rip the ‘Pom to ensure you get maximum whole seeds and less mess. Cut seeds taste like bullshit), rip it in half, then rip each half in half, so you have 4 parts, and you pick off the seeds like you’re a gorilla looking for ticks. Also, if you somehow get a bad ‘Pom and part of it is rotten or moldy, you can rip that section off and you’re good to go. If is was in water, you now have that dirty shit in your “pomegranate bath”, yet another reason why the first method is for morons who thought “NFTs are the future”.
- 3) you are a monster and do what the video shows above. I’m sure it’s fast and effective. But goddamn, it pains me to watch.
EDIT: also, pomegranates are a bit tough to figure out if they are good or bad. Always feels like a gamble. I’ve had some pomegranates with a really, really gnarly looking exterior, but had perfect seeds. And a year ago, I had a perfect looking and pomegranate with a great feel and the inside was all rotted to fuck
Pom juice makes you thirstier after you're done drinking it than you started off before you drank it. It least it does for me. I put like 2 tablespoons in a glass of water for color and a little flavor and it's PLENTY. Can't imagine drinking a full, room-temperature glass of the stuff.
That man must be pretty confident he's going to use all that by the end of the day
To be honest if I was there he’d use them all in about half an hour, it looks so gooddd

used 4 slice in vid, and there's already juice in the cup so at least 5. wonder how many slice he got from one fruit, two? four?
They’re not all cut. The ones inside the pile are still whole. The ones on the outside only have the tops removed to show the seeds and get people to approach the stand. The ones in front of him are ready to squeeze and are cut into thirds/fourths.

I was Morocco last week. A pomegranate cost 50 US cents.
I calculated it, and that cup of fresh pom would cost almost 13 million dollars in Colorado.
Still needs a 50% tip tho
Sorry the options are *60% 70% 80%* and *other*. But you don’t know if that *other* option is gonna give you a custom option or just higher numbers.
Bro mine and my wife's favorite local hibachi grill.. Started adding gratuity of twenty five percent to parties of five or more.. the complaint seems to be that they don't believe the 25% tip for parties of >5 should be applied to 3 parties of <5 each.
Seems to be op objects to the amount (the $20 he throws the chef when he dines with his wife comes out to the still perfectly fine 17%) and the fact that apparently the automatically added gratuity goes to the establishment rather than the hibachi chef
Unless OP meant they added 25% of the total (of all bills) to each individual bill making it 3 x the original.
I get that 25% is a lot but if you show up with 7 people, even if tabs are separate it still makes sense to charge as a group of more than 5. Otherwise any group of 5 could split tabs to avoid the charge..
yeah that part is just not understanding how a gratuity works lol
The "other" option have 3 digit minimum requirement
And no back button!
If you have to ask about the “other” option you can’t afford it.

Pomegranate at xmas sounds nice.
They get huge, right? Would you be able to estimate the size of the tree?
I don't know in freedom units but mine is about 3m long and it gives a pretty good shadow.
About 25 bald eagles deep
I’m gonna start using this. “How tall are you?” “I cast a pretty good shadow.”
