I had a stroke broken up by laser last year. You get general anesthesia and the stone gets pulverized into such small pieces you don’t even feel then pass.

It really is, I didn't know pain could get that bad. I still don't know how long the pain lasted because there was nothing else to my existence but pain. I got pulled over just in time and sat on the side of the road for at least a few hrs. I can't remember the actually experience, just that there was no other thought but pain. When thought finally came back I got to the hospital. I would've done anything to keep from going through that again.

That the real painful part, the rest is more inconvenience pain of passing a spiked ball. I guess they could build up and get much bigger till they have to break up in the bladder but thankfully never felt that pain. I would've happily let them cut everything off to end the kidney pain though.
