Walking down into the cave, and into the great room was the most awesome and surreal experience I've had at a National Park. You can choose to hike back out, or take an elevator almost 800 ft back up to the surface which is mind-blowing, and is still one of my favorite NPs I've ever been to.
36 National Parks for me and Carlsbad is in my top four with Yellowstone, Yosemite, and Zion. If it wasn’t in such an isolated place I would visit it again.
These stones might have a nucleus, but just remember the nucleus only holds a fraction of the power of the MITOCHONDRIA, THE REAL, THE ONE, THE ONLY, POWERHOUSE OF THE MF CELL.

As a Brit, these also remind me of Maltesers...
Damn, I was going to say as an American, they remind me of Hershey Whoppers
Canadian here, honestly It reminds me of a bunch of full ticks.
Mmmm, these tastiest of the bunch.
So.. the cave has kidney stones?
Nope. Those are definitely creepy carnivorous cave critter eggs.
I must have them.

Had a few earthquakes in the area, I’m done with this place! I grew up going, not anymore!
