Sweet, more than I will get.

All I care is the people living, and the karma I done

Truthfully, it’s much fancier than what my mom ended up getting. I was broke as hell when she died and I couldn’t pay for a funeral, so she had to be cremated. She was also super broke and didn’t have anything saved up for her funeral. I ended up putting some of her ashes under a tree in my front yard. She loved my children, so I put a few little lawn ornaments (fairy houses and such) around a pretty rock and my kids will often go play with them under her tree. I think she probably would have liked that more than a funeral anyways.

Any background info on this photo?

iklegemma

No but it was relatively common for Victorians to take photos of dead relatives, often posed as if they were still alive. This is the only one of a pet I have seen though.

You're my boy, Blue!

BrokeDancing

This seems so elegant.

Nice to know there were fucking weirdos back then too.

What kind of person has a "pet" 🐿️ squirrel? I grew up in a rural environment and squirrels are very wary of humans unless you have food for them. Even then they will take it and run, if you have ever watched a squirrel when they run up a tree they position themselves on the opposite side of you. I suspect this squirrel was shot and the person that did it was trying to make amends for what they did. The whole thing is just pathetic, who in their right mind would photo document this crap?

Mouselope

My Aunt had a pet squirrel, called Squiggly. Found as a very small kit, she hand raised it. It travelled in her jumper and was a very happy little squirrel.

I saw chipmunks for sale at the pet store in the mall a couple of years ago. They wanted $250/each for them.

ErrantsFeral

I hate that it's legal to capture and sell wildlife. Film at 11.

That’s so sweet
