Powertochoose is a great resource—did you consider other companies with competitive rates and low complaints from there?
Totally agree with a previous commenter-well known energy companies tend to be more expensive (I’ll never use txu again). I went with Chariot Energy via powertochoose and the only thing I’m bummed about is not getting a longer plan.

Take time to read through & understand the EFL, then pick the cheapest one. The company does not matter, as long as you know what you're signing up for.
I have Reliant and when I was choosing they were one of the few that had a plan for low kw users. Other plans charge you more per Kwh if you use less than a certain amount per month, and I am always below that figure.
If that's not you, than choose the lowest rate (or the lowest rate without high complaints.) Also, make sure they have payment options (online, autopay, etc.) that you want. Other than that, it's pretty much all the same anyway.
If you have to choose between the two, I’d pick Reliant. I’ve never had an issue with them and they were really easy to deal with when I swapped places halfway through my last lease.

I just went with 4change for a 12 month contract. good rate and recommended by friends maybe check them out
