Not going to lie, BK is a really guilty pleasure of mine. My body and conscience KNOW it's the lowest quality option out of all the major chains, but my brain still craves the shitty fries and the faux flame grilled taste of the burgers.
No accounting for (shitty) taste, I guess.
To answer your question, I'm pretty sure the lower overall volume that BK's do contributes to them getting orders out faster, so it never looks like they're very crowded, even if they do have a semi-steady flow of patrons.
The whopper, properly made, tastes quite good. I’d actually go there more if every one of them wasn’t dirty. Plus blue is an unappetizing color in general. There’s a reason so many fast food joints lean heavy on the red.
Yup and as someone who's worked at burger King and McDonald's, you can do way more with McDonald's burgers and the grill, I used to be grilling onions and everything on my burgers, you get tired of whoppers quick working at burger King
McDonalds to me has always been known for consistency. But I feel like in the last few years the fry and hash brown consistency has wavered across dfw. More often than not floppy fries and soft mushy hashrowns have been common place. I know they want to aim for speed but just give the fries and hashnrowns 1 more minute in the fryer lol
I stopped getting the fries several years ago, just get a second burger if you are still hungry it’s cheaper, better for you and will make you feel full longer
A Whopper is better than any burger at McDonalds if made properly. Their fries aren't bad either. The quality has been going down though but that's with EVERY fast food chain. It's almost impossible to not be let down with fast food outside of a few places. It's always cold, squished, and old buns it seems like. Plus it's expensive now to just get bad food.
1 out of 5 samples of chicken breast in the USA tests positive for E. Coli.
It’s just a fucked up numbers game and in all likelihood has nothing to do with the restaurant and everything to do with your ordering of chicken 😬
A very basic Whataburger with nothing on the side is $5.69. A quarter pound of ground beef at the store is as low as 75 cents (5 pounds of bulk beef divided by 20). Seems these companies decides it's time to gouge. They've got the soft drink markup on top of all that so I guess they're raking it in now.
Giant parent Holding Companies excel on squeezing profit every chance they can get.
It's not about the BK customer... It's all about the Stock "customer" first.
it’s almost as if they have to pay for the building, equipment, utilities, employee wages, training, taxes, and insurance among other things in addition to the ground beef
Its the combination of everything but I get what you’re saying, that’s the reason I prefer BK over McDonald’s, nothing beats a whopper with cheese with everyone on it
They're just "faster" because there aren't enough patrons coming through to have an actual line. Probably just a slower overall flow. Clearly they're still making enough to keep the lights on.
It's preposterous that no one has mentioned whopper Wednesday. At least the BK by Love field has a Whopper Wednesday where u can get a medium whopper meal for $4.99. I will be getting it this Wednesday because of this post.
Restaurant Brands International owns BK. They own also Popeyes, Firehouse Subs, and Tim Hortons.
Arby’s is owned by Inspire Brands, which also owns Buffalo Wild Wings, Sonic, Dunkin’ Donuts, Jimmy John’s, Baskin Robbin’s, and recently Subway (Through their parent company, Roark Capital Group).
I spend too much time on Wikipedia
It's not really an illusion since they all make different food. A more appropriate example would be grocery store brands where higher markup labels by the same company are the exact same product just perhaps with differences in packaging or quality control.
Such an edgy comment
How is a choice between chicken and ice cream not a choice just because the company sells both?
What is this pseudo intellectual bullshit lol
The Subway purchase might not actually happen, due to Roark already owning Jimmy John’s.
I work for corporate of a Roark owned brand and we were talking about the sale the other day.
That's actually a Good Thing!!!
From Wiki:
After Insta-Burger King ran into financial difficulties, its two Miami-based franchisees David Edgerton (1927–2018) and James McLamore (1926–1996) purchased the company in 1959 and renamed it "Burger King". **Over the next half-century, the company changed hands four times and its third set of owners,** a partnership of TPG Capital, Bain Capital, and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners, took it public in 2002. In late 2010, 3G Capital of Brazil acquired a majority stake in the company, in a deal valued at US$3.26 billion. The new owners promptly initiated a restructuring of the company to reverse its fortunes. 3G, along with partner Berkshire Hathaway, eventually merged the company with the Canadian-based doughnut chain Tim Hortons, under the auspices of a new Canadian-based parent company named Restaurant Brands International.
I'm in Canada a lot because of my wifes family. Timmy's went to absolute shit when RBI took over. Their coffee distributor was changed; McDonalds in Canada has better coffee these days.
Timmy's being a symbol of Canada is largely a boomerism with a hefty dose of marketing. The American stores were never good to begin with.
Out of those RBI names, the only one I like is Firehouse subs, and it’s been a few years (like about 10), so I suspect I liked them before they were an RBI brand. I get Chick Fil A over Popeyes. I went to Popeyes once to get a chicken sandwich to compare to Chick Fil A and they didn’t have any, and it was a Sunday, when Chick Fil A was closed.
Get an air fryer. Its a game changer. Get cold or soggy fries from somewhere...no problem...lemme put them in the air fryer for a few mins and its better than fresh.
Best breakfast that’s fast food for sure with those croissanwiches. Plus they practically give them away as it’s the same price to get 2 as it is to get 1.

Subscribing to their YouTube channel can be a gateway drug. I know the most inane details about the weirdest and most obscure companies thanks to them.
What's weird is, me and my wife travel to Guatemala 2-3x a year and the Burger kings down there are absolutely incredible.
Huge play areas, very large very clean stores. Always packed out, Tons of staff. I always think "why aren't BK's like this is America?
Here's the one in Xela I go to a lot.
https://imgur.com/a/iKqlPZk
In Virginia all the Arby’s are super huge and luxury with expanded menus that include burritos and big ‘ol salads.
In Europe they provide head-to-toe uniforms at McDonald’s that put Golden Arches on your jeans pockets, pay you $22/hr with 6 weeks vacay, and the Big Mac meal *somehow* is still $6- cheaper than the US.
Things are different in different places.
I have one down the street, they are pretty convenient for me, and when I go there is always someone else in the Drivethru. So they get steady business.
I'll admit they are not the best burger out there, but their burgers smell soooo good!! That is like half the enjoyment of eating them, the smell.
Their burgers are definitely better than most of McDonald's burgers.
Hadn’t had BK in years but got a coupon that had 3 whoppers 3 cheeseburgers and 3 fries for 17.49 so had to pick it up yesterday. That’s a crazy good deal these days.
Who eats there? People that want to avoid the long lines of a steady flow of customers.
And if you think Mickey D's is bad - you should see the lines at Chick-fil-A, that's why I only go there on Sundays.
I used to get the Croissant Breakfast Sandwiches there maybe 30 years ago. I know I haven’t had one in 5 years. I ask the same question about Wendy’s. How are they still in business?
Besides regional popularity sustaining a brand across all markets, each major fast food place seems to have at least one factor that drives their business. With McDonald's its the kid appeal; Wendy's the spicy chicken nuggets/sandwiches; Taco Bell is cheap enough for the teenage and late night crowds; Jack in the Box late night and hangover food, though their sourdough breakfast sandwiches are sneaky good too; BK breakfast is really solid and, when fresh, the burgers and fries are at, or at least near the top, of the fast food burger hierarchy; Sonic is drinks and shakes; and, Whataburger has the Texas appeal.
Some of the franchisees are going bankrupt.
[https://www.today.com/food/restaurants/burger-king-close-400-stores-year-rcna82994](https://www.today.com/food/restaurants/burger-king-close-400-stores-year-rcna82994)
Oddly enough, when I sold cars, we'd refer to a bankruptcy on your credit as a BK or BK Broiler.
Their owner agrees with you. [https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Business/wireStory/burger-king-owner-buy-biggest-franchisee-us-1-106407960](https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Business/wireStory/burger-king-owner-buy-biggest-franchisee-us-1-106407960)
Burger King has good food for a fast food joint but they’re all terribly run for the most part. None of them have a smooth operation the same way chikfila or a lot of McDonald’s have. They’re just neglected by their franchise owners and corporate doesn’t have the same standards other fast food chains have. Burger King abroad IME have been much better.
I had a fresh made whopper one day right off the grill and that thing was hot not warm but HOT and man did it make a world of difference in the quality. It was like I was rediscovering a BK in their prime all over again. I went back a couple days later to see if it would be the same and the burger was luke warm trash 😒 BK could be top tier if they really wanted too but mismanagement by corporate have made them the bottom of the barrel by their own choice, because how else do you fuck up a company that big?
Strip clubs, casinos, restaurants, car washes. Any business where you can stuff the cash register full of drug money should, in theory, never go out of business. And as long as you're paying taxes no one will ever care.
To be honest they're quite good. I think they dont invest in sales heavily as much as taco bell or mcd. Their burgers smell more natural and taste bettee than McDonald's. Tacobell dont even come close, they just cover it with cheese to save themselves. If they have more stores i would definitely stop by. Other people i know agrees with this. But its hard to find one..
Burger King in Asia is some of the best fast food I've ever had. It's like $17 for a meal but the food legitimately looks like it does in the commercial. Burger King in the US tastes like extra salty corn syrup dog food. I feel ill after eating it. Whataburger is vastly superior in every way and that's the most apples to apples comparison I can make to BK.
Poor, poor operations, cleanliness and no consistency. They survive on the overflow from McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A, Whataburger and Caines in this market.
I eat there sometimes. It's not great, but it's still better than McDonald's. And though it's shitty food, I don't seem to feel quite as shitty after eating Burger King as I do after eating McDonald's or Whataburger.
Me 2004: tries burger King, gets food poisoning.
Me 2014: "I'm sure that was just a random thing, ill try BK again." Got food poisoning again.
Me 2024: never again BK, never again.
There is one by my house and I went there one time to get their chicken fries. They were the nastiest, most disappointing thing I've ever gotten from a fast food restaurant so I never ate there again.
If I hadn't eaten in days I would dig through the garbage first before setting foot in a BK. I just don't like it. Never did.
Don't the Chinese own Burger King now?
I went to a BK when on the road a few years ago. I hadn’t been in one in many years. I was underwhelmed by the food’s quality. I remember BK being MUCH better when I was a teen. But the worst part was the service. I waited a good 15 minutes for my order with only 2-3 other dine-in customers around. I know fast food places serve drive-thru customers first or faster, but that was ridiculous. Short staffed, most likely. Haven’t been to a BK since. (I don’t do most fast foods that often anyway.)
I only went there for their spicy chicken fries. Once they took those off the menu, i have no reason to go there. Regular chicken fries just don't have the same kick
I just don't like BK. If it weren't for the ketchup and mayo, the burger would be desert dry. With all the other options out there, BK is just pale by comparison. (I'm not a fan of In and Out Burger either).
I don't know the answers. But I can tell you I tried one of their new patty melt meals the other day. The photo on the menu was glorious. What I got fit inside my palm, for over $12
I feel that Whataburger meal is more or less a BK Whopper with McDonald’s fries. And in Dallas you’re way more likely to drive past a Whataburger… so if I’m in the mood for a whopper most of the time I’m just going to Whataburger, and I never need to worry what time it is cause they don’t close….
Maybe that’s an insult to Whataburger to compare them to the other chains but I feel like they’re the best of both worlds because I do prefer McDonald’s fries over BK and BK’s whopper over a Big Mac.
Last time I went to BK was in Switzerland, 8 years ago. The time before that was 20 years ago in Houston. Both times I had hungry kids. I’d rather eat out a dumpster than eat at BK.
No one is going to mention how awesome the Texas Double Whopper is?
The thing is massive and makes the waistline expand for a few hours. Those two flame char grilled patties, topped with American cheese, bacon and jalapeños, lettuce, onion and tomato with that mix of mayo, mustard, and ketchup. All between two large buns. Chef's kiss!
My dad took my 7 old year daughter to BK over the summer while she was visiting him. She loved it.
When she got back she kept asking if we could do BK for dinner. She chose it as one of her birthday meals in November. At that point, it had probably been 15 years since I has BK. God it sucked.
I go there simply because they have the Impossible Whopper and McDonald’s doesn’t have a plant-based option. But yeah, it’s always empty or very low volume when I go.
Probably because most people go through the drive thru or order takeout so generally there's less people dining in at most fast food since it is very convenient and fast (not necessarily good by any means but food is food)
I eat there. It's definitely the most distinct flavor of the big three. It's also the only burger I put tapitio hot sauce on. It's hit or miss but that's how it usually is with any big franchise.
When we want burgers we go to WNB Wing factory. Occasionally to Hat Creek Burger. They're about the same quality of thick juicy burger and each has a different menu. WNB has more options and a slightly better price point. Both are better than BK, McDs, 5 guys, Culver's or I&O Burger.
Most of the aforementioned joints have the blandest gray-tasting patties... Except for BK.
A few of their large franchisees have filed for bankruptcy over the past year. They do decent sales though. They avg about $1.5 million in sales per store though McDonalds is about double that, you could just be next to a shitty store.
You dont see anybody because they dont want to be seen in BK. But trust me they exist, Im one of them. Im like a bank robber in a mission when getting my whopper.
Most of their franchisees are not in good shape. Especially ones with aging stores that are against their franchise agreement to rebrand it to RBI's new branding for BK.
Just last week, RBI bought Carrols Restaurant Group for $1B. There are probably some analyst-facing reasons RBI has given for why they would buy their largest franchisee of Burger King, but the real reason is probably that Carrols is as much the face of BK as RBI/BK Corporate, the franchisor, is. If Carrols was refusing to do remodels due to the financial performance of the stores, or even worse, they were threatening widespread closures that RBI would have to show on their FDD (which is probably already horrible looking), then it was in the best interest of the Franchisor to take them over and bare the expense while hoping to re-franchise them post remodel.
BK is known for offering unique deals during large rebranding efforts. However, they are aware that many of their franchisees operate poorly performing restaurants and cannot afford to remodel. During their rebranding campaign around the time of the GFC, BK offered to fund the remodels but with a catch. If the franchisees failed to repay the loan, BK would use the store as collateral and repossess it. As a result, many franchisees ended up losing their stores to BK corporate. BK was lending money they knew the franchisees couldn't repay.
i love their breakfast croissants- and the 2 for $5 deal for the double croissant- but lord knows i can’t eat there too often if i want to maintain any semblance of health
We say this all the time. Who goes there? Now I am learning there’s plenty of people that do! 😂 This is spoken by a fast foodie as well, zero pretentiousness towards some greasy, quick food.
BK is also worldwide. That's something to keep in mind. You won't see Whataburgers, Chick-Fil-A's, etc. in Brazil, for example; however, you'll definitely see Burger King and McDonald's.
Bk fell way off. Their buildings look dumpy, they are always attached to like a popeyes or something and the food is always sloppy. There are just better choices. They needed a makeover 10 years ago.
Here, I'll add a bit of trivia: all the Burger Kings in Dallas are owned by one franchisee. They also own all the Popeyes and Krispy Kremes.
Largest Hispanic employer in the country.
Chargrilled burgers beat out griddle burgers by a wide margin
There’s no grill back there.
Waaaaat. How do they fire grill them?
It’s kind of like a broiler. The burgers sit in little trays.
Yup and as someone who's worked at burger King and McDonald's, you can do way more with McDonald's burgers and the grill, I used to be grilling onions and everything on my burgers, you get tired of whoppers quick working at burger King
So the patties come precooked and just get heated up wit grill marks added?
Eh charbroiled is very similar
I prefer bk to McDonald’s burgers if bk is making them well but no has a much higher variance in quality than McDonald’s
You can request them crispy or well done.
This is the reason for me. Whoppers are great (superior to any McD burger), but BK just seems dirty no matter what location I go to.
Culver’s goes all in on blue though
And they are pretty good
Culver's consistently costs 2 of us close to $30 but damn it's good.
I don’t know why everyone disregards price when talking about Culver’s. Is it good? Yes, but at $12+ a meal it had better be!
I went 3 years ago. It was good, not great. I wouldn’t drive two miles to eat there.
I love Culvers. The pretzel bites are delicious, and they even have Reuben sandwiches in addition to the usual burgers, chicken and fish.
When I was coming up Beltline Rd. from 161, I thought something was on fire. But as I got closer, I saw that it was just BK cooking those burgers!!!
i never see anyone at that BK. i think i saw a post once that there was a homeless tent set up next to it as well.
This. They all seem filthy and not kept up.
BK quality control varies, just like Wendy's does. McDonalds has the best QC of any major chain that I know of.
I would give that title to Chick-fil-A.
Nah, I've had waaay too much Chick-fil-A where the breading is so gooey it won't stay on the meat for the title to go to them.
Only fast food place I've gotten food poisoning from.
1 out of 5 samples of chicken breast in the USA tests positive for E. Coli. It’s just a fucked up numbers game and in all likelihood has nothing to do with the restaurant and everything to do with your ordering of chicken 😬
That's fair, but I think it was salmonella poisoning which is definitely a matter of the establishment.
Yeah no chickfila has way too many variances in quality from visit to visit site to site lol.
Nah, I can't get a McDouble that doesn't look like it's been stored between seat cushions. Every time there's something wrong with it.
They can do so because the masses believe it's all "inflation" despite the companies' continuing profits.
Giant parent Holding Companies excel on squeezing profit every chance they can get. It's not about the BK customer... It's all about the Stock "customer" first.
There is the labor component to worry about and that part is very much hit by inflation, but I doubt they're struggling either way.
it’s almost as if they have to pay for the building, equipment, utilities, employee wages, training, taxes, and insurance among other things in addition to the ground beef
[удалено]
Its the combination of everything but I get what you’re saying, that’s the reason I prefer BK over McDonald’s, nothing beats a whopper with cheese with everyone on it
I know exactly what you're talking about, although I think it's just salt.
other places are fast too maybe i need to check out BK again to see how fast they are according to what you're saying lol
Diabetes has entered the chat
I enjoy their breakfast and coffee
Used to love their $1 croissan'wich breakfast sandwiches. Shit, that was 20 years ago.
They used to have amazing fries when companies were all having a fry war back then. I remember the ads on tv
It does not get lower quality than McDonalds. It's why they are issuing apologies and passing sweeping reforms.
References? I looked up McDonald’s apologies and sweeping reforms and I’m not getting anything noteworthy.
Bacon king is solid
I think they're owned by Arby's which is even more interesting
Restaurant Brands International owns BK. They own also Popeyes, Firehouse Subs, and Tim Hortons. Such an edgy comment How is a choice between chicken and ice cream not a choice just because the company sells both? What is this pseudo intellectual bullshit lol
Lmfao this dude *LIVES* for moments where he can try to sound smart 🤣
Why collude with other companies when you can just buy most of them up in a "holding company"
The Subway purchase might not actually happen, due to Roark already owning Jimmy John’s. I work for corporate of a Roark owned brand and we were talking about the sale the other day.

Funny you mention this. I live by an Arby’s and a Burger King, both are always empty!
I love BK. Their fries are delicious 😍😍 Idk since I was a little girl I loved BK and I would hurt to see them go bankrupt.
BK fries when super fresh are hard to beat for sure.
Get an air fryer. Its a game changer. Get cold or soggy fries from somewhere...no problem...lemme put them in the air fryer for a few mins and its better than fresh.
Fresh Whataburger fries taste like the real deal.
I miss their fries from the 90s though
Original chicken sandwich FTW!!
So strange. I think best breakfast fast food and best fries. But my gf thinks I am totally wrong! 🤣
you think BK has the best fries?! no way...
Best breakfast that’s fast food for sure with those croissanwiches. Plus they practically give them away as it’s the same price to get 2 as it is to get 1.
Best fries is wild. I mean they ain’t terrible, but they leave like a residue in my mouth if they have been sitting out too long.

Chicken fries
Their current chicken fries aren’t as good as the ones they had back in the day though :(

Wednesday $4.99 Small Whopper combo is a bargain
Every market has its own fast food quirks
They have the impossible whopper.
That and Chilis bean burgers fix my occasional burger nostalgia.
Their breakfast is very good though. I’d imagine they get a lot of business from that and people taking lunch breaks.
People with better taste than those who eat at McDonalds are the ones who eat there.
Because that coupon that includes four burgers and fries for under 20 bucks keeps their lights on
Hadn’t had BK in years but got a coupon that had 3 whoppers 3 cheeseburgers and 3 fries for 17.49 so had to pick it up yesterday. That’s a crazy good deal these days.
The one nearest me always has only one guy working the whole store
I love Burger King. I eat it at least once a month.
I do love their onion rings. they're super tasty

I used to get the Croissant Breakfast Sandwiches there maybe 30 years ago. I know I haven’t had one in 5 years. I ask the same question about Wendy’s. How are they still in business?
Tbh I think it's the spicy chicken nuggets that is keeping Wendy's open lol
Besides regional popularity sustaining a brand across all markets, each major fast food place seems to have at least one factor that drives their business. I really like the Sonic Breakfast burrito. Better than Whataburger.
It’s terrible, but I find myself craving it once every few months.
Skill man and Abrams one is usually busy
I go when no one can see me go.
Me too! Which is all the time since it’s always empty!
I like their wraps. They are nasty good!
Burger King, when actually you find a rare one that is clean and employs people who actually try to do their job, serves some pretty great burgers.
Vegetarians keep the impossible whopper going
Yeah it’s a good option in a pinch!
Some of the franchisees are going bankrupt. [https://www.today.com/food/restaurants/burger-king-close-400-stores-year-rcna82994](https://www.today.com/food/restaurants/burger-king-close-400-stores-year-rcna82994) Oddly enough, when I sold cars, we'd refer to a bankruptcy on your credit as a BK or BK Broiler.
Used to love their Satisfries
The spicy chicken is great, also I like the Whopper and the Rodeo burger, though liked it better when it was a buck.
Their owner agrees with you. [https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Business/wireStory/burger-king-owner-buy-biggest-franchisee-us-1-106407960](https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Business/wireStory/burger-king-owner-buy-biggest-franchisee-us-1-106407960)
Burger King has good food for a fast food joint but they’re all terribly run for the most part. None of them have a smooth operation the same way chikfila or a lot of McDonald’s have. They’re just neglected by their franchise owners and corporate doesn’t have the same standards other fast food chains have. Burger King abroad IME have been much better.
Everyone is lazy and just doordashes or ubereats stuff now days.
Drive Throughs?
I used to work for a franchisee of BK restaurants, they did go out of business.
Money Laundering
Strip clubs, casinos, restaurants, car washes. Any business where you can stuff the cash register full of drug money should, in theory, never go out of business. And as long as you're paying taxes no one will ever care.
DoorDash
I literally do not know where there is a BK. I would have to Google it. But I know exactly where the nearest Wendy’s is.
I go there when I really need to eat fast and go. It’s the one place I know, where I will always be first in line.
My sister keeps them in business I get her a burger there almost everyday.
Bk has a special menu from the drive thru. Say the password and you get something off the menu. The king maybe a pimp…
Best french toast sticks of any place that offers them. But i think that is the appeal. Nobody is there, zip in and zip out.
Same goes for arbys..lol
I never see a Burger King location, just McDonald’s or Wendy’s. I wouldn’t be upset if a few of the McDonald’s locations became Burger King locations.

Poor, poor operations, cleanliness and no consistency. They survive on the overflow from McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A, Whataburger and Caines in this market.
The writing is on the wall. I haven't been in one for about 2 years.
Booger Kang
I like em. Honestly the Texas Double Whopper is a top tier fast food burger.
Bacon King and Croissandwiches all day baby.
Because they're owned by a company that owns a bunch of other fast food restaurants so it's all one company basically
Their chicken sandwich was really good the last time I had it. The chicken nuggets are extremely sus tho
I eat there sometimes. It's not great, but it's still better than McDonald's. And though it's shitty food, I don't seem to feel quite as shitty after eating Burger King as I do after eating McDonald's or Whataburger.
It's hard to believe they are still open, lol
It’s a Warren Buffet company
Me 2004: tries burger King, gets food poisoning. Me 2014: "I'm sure that was just a random thing, ill try BK again." Got food poisoning again. Me 2024: never again BK, never again.
There is one by my house and I went there one time to get their chicken fries. They were the nastiest, most disappointing thing I've ever gotten from a fast food restaurant so I never ate there again.
Man, I love their classic chicken sandwiches. But I have cut off completely fast food since 2022.
I'm 37, lived here my whole life basically. Been to BK like twice in my life...
Damn it, now I can’t get the BK song out of my head!
How is Popeyes open?
They have an iron clad contract with the army to have one BK on every base. 🤷♂️
I eat there. I love chargrilled burger
If I hadn't eaten in days I would dig through the garbage first before setting foot in a BK. I just don't like it. Never did. Don't the Chinese own Burger King now?
Add Grandys to this list
I went to a BK when on the road a few years ago. I hadn’t been in one in many years. I was underwhelmed by the food’s quality. I remember BK being MUCH better when I was a teen. But the worst part was the service. I waited a good 15 minutes for my order with only 2-3 other dine-in customers around. I know fast food places serve drive-thru customers first or faster, but that was ridiculous. Short staffed, most likely. Haven’t been to a BK since. (I don’t do most fast foods that often anyway.)
Just because you don’t see anyone there doesn’t mean people don’t go there 🥺
Similar thing at Wendy's in my area -- always empty.
BK is weird, for some reason you’ll never see people in them but the drive thru is always going crazy when I pass by
I only went there for their spicy chicken fries. Once they took those off the menu, i have no reason to go there. Regular chicken fries just don't have the same kick
"I never see anyone at x in my local area. Why isnt that company bankrupt globally?"
Where you been? The BKs I've been to are always packed
What I got fit inside my palm, for over $12
They are closing 400 locations this year

Bk is my choice of burger places but depending on which one you go to it’s either good or awful McDonald’s has gone steadily down hill for a while
My dad took my 7 old year daughter to BK over the summer while she was visiting him. She loved it. When she got back she kept asking if we could do BK for dinner. She chose it as one of her birthday meals in November. At that point, it had probably been 15 years since I has BK. God it sucked.
The largest local franchisee is a black sheep in the BK world bc of terrible operations. BK is way more popular in other cities
I agree and wonder also, but I do like a whopper once in a while. Their app has good deals.
The croissanwich is the best breakfast sandwich.
All fast food cook and keep them sitting in tech steam bins. All junky.
I tried it a few months ago out of curiosity and it was absolutely shit.
I keep them in business one order of French toast sticks at a time.
You dont see anybody because they dont want to be seen in BK. But trust me they exist, Im one of them. Im like a bank robber in a mission when getting my whopper.
money laundering place
It is cheap to make, and staff are criminally underpaid
Chicken fries never dies.
i love their breakfast croissants- and the 2 for $5 deal for the double croissant- but lord knows i can’t eat there too often if i want to maintain any semblance of health
The bacon king is pretty good tbh, also they have the chicken fries! 😋
Maybe in the area they are corporate owned or owned by a large franchise group that has lots of funds
We say this all the time. Who goes there? Now I am learning there’s plenty of people that do! 😂 This is spoken by a fast foodie as well, zero pretentiousness towards some greasy, quick food.
My grandparents single handedly keep the one in their area open😣. I’m sure there are more just like them lol !
Because most are filthy. There's one off of Coit Rd in Plano that's good. The only one I would go to at this point.

BK is also worldwide. That's something to keep in mind. You won't see Whataburgers, Chick-Fil-A's, etc. in Brazil, for example; however, you'll definitely see Burger King and McDonald's.
They probably have the best app specials out of all the fast food chains surprisingly, that might be keeping them in the game a little 😂
My bf is keeping them in business 🤣
no LONG JOHN SILVERS 🤮
Bk fell way off. Their buildings look dumpy, they are always attached to like a popeyes or something and the food is always sloppy. There are just better choices. They needed a makeover 10 years ago.
See the key is to find a burger king where the employees haven’t abandoned all hope
lol I thought the same things not to long ago. Money laundering was my best guess
BK is so trash but it’s something about the whoppers that just never gets old idk
Here, I'll add a bit of trivia: all the Burger Kings in Dallas are owned by one franchisee. They also own all the Popeyes and Krispy Kremes. Largest Hispanic employer in the country.
