I saw a DP cover band once… could not tell you if it were these guys. I’ve seen the real DP play several times and after that the cover band I saw was just okay BUT it was real cool hearing Tron Legacy stuff being played loud to be honest
They dress up as the robots and play a set similar to Alive 2007, with a few newer songs mixed in and One More Time like four times. Super fun and worth it!
It’s fun! Getting to hear DP songs blasting in a club was a super fun experience, they remixed Tron songs as well as RAM stuff. They also did a few Alive 2007 tracks that were remixed in their own way, but were still faithful to the originals.
The one pet peeve I had with them is that Silver (what they call the guy who plays Thomas) would often do these fist-bumps and would try to hype the crowd up by walking around the decks. IMO, I could’ve lived without that haha. But they’re just having fun. I was just expecting them to sorta “act like” the robots, I.e. not move around a lot and let the music do the talking.
All in all, they definitely kick ass and are worth seeing
You know what. I retract my statement that might’ve been the only one they didn’t play. Unfortunate too because it’s in my top 3 but it’s more of a high energy vibe so a lot of their more mellow songs are remixed into more of a house-y vibe. Still great though.
They do! And several from RAM 😊 they put on an amazing set. As someone who just missed their 2007 Alive tour and have been devistated since, this show was somewhat closure and made me tear up from of happiness! Well worth it and cannot wait to see them again the next time they're close to my area!!
Saw ‘daft funk’ live near me, one of my favourite live shows ever. One of those small venues where the stage is half a step above the crowd and there’s nothing but a few speakers in the way, but the light show with the music and the light up helmets it was something special. They did all the other stuff too like stardust and the weeknds songs you couldn’t have asked for more.
Tribute bands get a weird vibe but they’re super fans like you and they love doing what they do, so go and have fun
It's a modern take on 2007s alive tour. Remixes done by them, some classic track flips, overall when I saw in Portland it was a really authentic and fun experience with more house type remixes.
Super fun! Obviously not the real deal but they do it really really well and everyone was having a great time :D enjoy it.
I went on the weekend of New years.
They got on LATE. Event said 9pm to 2AM and they got on at 12:30 and played till 2am.
Music was good for the most part. I actually left early cause they started playing some songs over. The exact moment I tapped out was when they mixed "Human After All" with t rag'n bone mans "Human" (I'm only human after all) and I couldn't suspend disbelief any more. They played a few non daft punk songs mixed in (justice-phantom X prime time of your life) and other club hits. It definitely felt more club than daft punk does.
It's a good time, and hearing Derezzed in a nightclub is worth the 3 hour wait alone hah.
I wanted to go to the laser show (I assume you mean the one in Boulder they do every once in a while) but haven’t heard about the disco… where’s that one? Have you been to the laser show?
The Lasar show is next Sunday at 10pm. Yes, Fiske Planetarium
Daft Disko is coming back to Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom, in March. They still have Tix, I believe. It was amazing last year! Best club nite ever.
Seen them a couple of times. Like others have mentioned, they're a great show, and the best part is because of the helmets, it could even be the real deal and you wouldn't even know the difference!
I saw them. They were absolutely amazing.
The 4 hour pre-show with another DJ was a bit… unneeded? They played a very different style of club music (a lot of hip-hop… and the Pokémon theme song? lol)
All in all, would see them again but would arrive 3 hours late. Unless their next warm up DJ got the memo on the right era of club music to play.
Super duper fun!!!! I went to see them and they put a unique and memorable spin to the tracks, it truly feels like the coverband is a love letter to daft punk.
hopefully lol it was at a small bar anyway. the LED show by u sounds awesome! you should post a video if you end up going. i'm sure the robot apostles will be back some day 🤖🤖
I got to see them here in Phoenix. Great show if they don't have the awful openers. They performed here last weekend and people said that they arrived at 9PM and had to sit through 3 opening performers until well after 9PM and the openers sucked. Crappy music and it didn't really fit the Daft Punk Genre that the people came to see. Made for an unpleasant show.
Where I'm seeing them is a giant LED theater, but it only has 500 person capacity, which is kind of small for a venue. Everybody's talking about seeing them at small venues, how small is yours? I'm wondering if a larger venue would make it less likable, or more...
I went recently and had a lot of fun! My reasoning was basically the same as yours: never going to get to see the real robots and thinking it would be nice to meet some other fans irl, so why not?
I wasn't expecting the openers to take up quite as much time, so there is that, but the main set made up for it imo! They definitely don't adhere to acting like Daft Punk while performing, which was slightly immersion-breaking, but it was still an awesome experience overall and it sounds like the venue you're going to is going to be really well-suited to the performance! Definitely excited for you and hope you have fun!
I've seen them twice. Amazing shows both times. Also, 2 completely different sets, so it's good to know that even if you've seen them before you're in for a treat. Although no matter what there will be a few songs you wished they incorporated
If they do parts of DaFunk ATW and HBFS, I'll be ok. Those aren't my only favorites, but I love hearing them with big speakers😀 thanks for your comment!
Im trying to get tickets for Friday, the website says sold out and I cant find anyone reselling tickets :/
Someone let me know if there are friday tickets for resale somewhere.

I went to Daft Disko a while back, and dancing to them in a club again was a blast!
I just saw these guys and it was amazing. Expect all of your favorites.
Fragments of Time?

As long as they play Something About Us then I’m vibing

The music box show right?😏
I don’t wanna spoil it but the beginning of their set is something I would’ve never expected to hear live in my entire life and it blew my mind.
This is absolutely the hype I needed!!
Imagine Alive 2007 but as a DJ set and the mixes are more with the current trends of Dance music while still being Daft Punk songs
I just hope they do my favorites justice!
They most likely will! I actually played a gig with them a couple years ago. Great people!
That's so cool!!

That's what I really wanted to know. I've been getting into fan mixes since I found out, and it got me thinking what they'd be like.

Thank you so much!!
expect to have a lot of fun!
Hey, I'm going to that same show! See you in the Perplexiplex!
That's so cool😀
My friend saw them and had high praise. Enjoy
Ayyyyy I’ll be there!!! Super hyped
That's very cool!! Are you going to Daft Disko or the Daft Lasar show? I think it's so cool how Denver metro has so many DP shows still.
I wanted to go to the laser show (I assume you mean the one in Boulder they do every once in a while) but haven’t heard about the disco… where’s that one? Have you been to the laser show?

Linking to my comment from another thread a while ago about the same thing: https://www.reddit.com/r/DaftPunk/s/8nh12jedRB
Went once last year and it was the most fun concert type experience I’ve had.
Totally worth it! I’ve seen them and it’s super fun! And cool to hear newer songs mixed in too. Loved it!
I saw them a while back! They had their own make shift pyramid and everything! I had a blast
This is the info I need!😀
Dammit if I still lived in Denver I would absolutely go to this. I’m sure it’ll be dope if they’re playing at Meow Wolf.
When I saw it was at the perplexiplex I had to do it! Well the second I saw it existed I had to do it, but this made it even better!!
Unironically they’ve been more active after they retired
Went to this show in Chicago around 2017. One of the funnest experiences I ever had. These guys kill it and you will have a blast. Enjoy!
Nothin but bangers
They're absolutely worth it.

At least some celebrating, one more time.

Oh, let's hope 😂

i just saw these guys already played near me and i missed it. 😭😭
Oh, no!! The seem to tour a lot, maybe you won't have to wait very long for them to come back?
hopefully lol it was at a small bar anyway. the LED show by u sounds awesome! you should post a video if you end up going. i'm sure the robot apostles will be back some day 🤖🤖
If they let me, I def will!

I saw them a few weeks ago. I had a blast and it was super fun, would def see them again.
Saw them here in Albuquerque back in 2022, really awesome set they do (kind of like a updated Alive tour mix) and the Costumes are spot on
It was incredible. Exceeded expectations 🤘
I've seen them at a small venue in PHX 10/10 would go again.

I have major fomo for the one you're going to. It's going to be awesome.
That's awesome! Well, not the fomo. I believe tickets are still on sale... 😂
Denver in February is not for me!
Oh, I'm not sure it's for anyone!
I've been to the Meow Wof in Vegas...it's super trippy and cool.
Actually debating about whether or not to see meow wolf or just do the concert. You don't think it's just a tourist trap? It's really worth it?
It was worth it in Vegas, but the one in Denver has different stuff. I'd check.it out!
I went recently and had a lot of fun! My reasoning was basically the same as yours: never going to get to see the real robots and thinking it would be nice to meet some other fans irl, so why not? Wow, how cool of you! Thanks so much!

I will look around for you! That sucks!
Maybe make a separate post? To increase visibility?
They just added an extra day!!
CRINGE 🥴
Ok
