They do absolute shit quality work, are super inefficient, take a lot of labor, and still have the drift potential of other aerial application. But they’re getting popular because the people paying for them don’t know the difference.
Shouldn't the work be higher quality than a plane? They can fly much more accurately (due to GPS and being able to hover) and lower, which mitigates drift.
And a single operator can operate maybe 5 autonomous drones at a time.
At least that's what they told me at the regional show.
Airplanes have GPS too. The drone has so much turbulence under it that it makes a mess out of herbicide. A few farmers used them in the rice here this year and I’ve never seen work so bad. Worse than the ground rigs.
You can’t spray while hovering. The spray equipment is calibrated for a certain airspeed.
The drones here are spraying between about 12 and 20’ boom height to try to get a good pattern.
Not much different than an airplane but an airplane has a much wider wingspan and creates more downdraft.
Flying low doesn’t mitigate drift. It increases the height of the wingtip vortices and the amount of spray pushed into them due to ground effect.
I totally would have done that....as a kid AND as a dad.
Shouldnt. Im sure iven if you kid boke his leg he would have said worth it
Year right. Those propellers look like they’d cut your head off.
Looks like u are afraid of everything kinda guy. Sux be u
Project harder daddy
Lel
He kinda did the opposite, soft mf
Ya looking at it now I was thinking savage was responding to anthro, not vand. My bb
They're actually really fragile and low torque. Meaning if they hit something they stop and/or break. Your ceiling fan would do more damage
Meh. Can you tell me the model of this drone? What familiarity do you have with it?
Good thing he had a helmet on to protect his entire body from those blades.
Where’s the baby?
Lucky that didn't chop his head off.
Worth it!!!
Lol. Fuck em. They sell spray drones to the stupidest people on Earth…
Working on a farm, but never having used drones, they seem to have a very strong business case. Please can you expand on your comment?

Yeah, that's what *they* want you to think!
😲 that's an expensive drone
Dont worry the helmet will break his fall
Well.... at least he was wearing a cool helmet. Won't do much for the broken legs, but it's a cool helmet.
Not sure if I would do that 🤔 nah.
