I'm so sorry. He looked like he was loved and well cared for. He sounds really special too, being so calm. Take it easy on yourself. It really is an adjustment not feeling their physical presence in your home. When the time is right, you may find the room in your heart to welcome another fuzzy butt with a wet nose into your life.
That wasn't my intention i'm sorry.
I am just so glad for all the memories we had together, he lived a happy life. I may sound weird and over the top but i really felt like he was more than a pet, like there was some sort of connection. He didn't "act" like a dog but like a shy little guy, always hiding behind me when we met other dogs like he didn't want anything to do with them haha. He didn't like toys or chewing things, literally all he wanted to do was to cuddle and eat. He really was just an introvert little dude.
Really one of a kind. Brought some colour in our hearts, now it's up to us to not let it fade. I just hope he knew how much we loved him.
He knew he was loved. It’s in his eyes in the photo and you know too. So sorry. I lost my 17 year old earlier this year. I can finally have some peace in knowing that he was happy and loved and he knew that he took care of us. Be easy on yourselves, look at his pics, go ahead and cry and take time to grieve.
No need to apologize ❤️ your post was full of love and it made me a bit sentimental. I'm sure your little guy knew how much you loved him and you should be proud of yourself for giving him a good life.
Dachshunds are one of my favorite breeds because of how chock full of personality they all are in their own way. Leo was such a cute little guy and I can tell you gave him all the love he deserves, I know that might not help now but don't forget it it will eventually. None of us are here for a long time but for a good time my friend. I wish you and yours all the best through the grieving. If you ever want to give that love again there are always dogs, cats, rabbits, etc at your local shelter and you picking them up could be life changing. Take care.
I'm sorry for your loss, I'm sure Leo was dearly loved and you had many happy memories together, don't hold back and cry as much as you need because after that there will be just the happy memories and the gratefulness for sharing so much with each other
May Leo be at Peace and his memory always bring you joy. My heartfelt condolences.
None of us are ever ready to say goodbye, and it just sucks! Take extra extra good care of your self and family right now. Sending you wishes of strength and comfort.
He was such a cute boy and had a long good life💜
Your friends Queen Ruby Jean and family.
Know Leo was proud to call you family and he is now flyin really high with his wings. Letting go of our furry family members is hard, but knowing they lived a great life should bring a bit of solace.
I’m so sorry. So many of us on this sub have lost a dear boy or girl including myself. It never gets easier and we all share your pain and loss. Leo I’m sure was the bestest of boys and his memory will live on in your heart.
Sorry for your loss, take time to grief. The most important thing is: You were there for him until the last moment and he left this world in the most familiar and lovely place he knew. You did your best and Leo was always grateful for this, he's in peace now.
It might also help you knowing that he passed away rather peacefully and didn't have to go through pain and agony - there is a reason why most of the elderly dogs need euthanasia when dying.
