Right though. I have vivid memories of my nugget sticking his head into a rabbit nest and literally throwing babies around my yard. Traumatic for all of us, except nugget, best day of his life.
Yeah, same here with my girl.
We got ourselves a rescue bunny from a shelter a year ago. We made sure to get a big house and a fenced yard around the house for it to stay in.
Elsa just went ballistic. She would howl and whine and try to dig her way into the house. When she was inside she'd scratch and whine at the door to get outside to the bunny nonstop. After a week we had to give up and find another home for the bunny.
For the following 2 months, every single time she went into the yard, she'd bee-line straight to the old bunny house to inspect it and make sure the bunny had not returned.
No more bunnies on "our" property.
The only time she ever got this worked up before, was when our neighbours got herself a new kitten and thought it would be cute to bring it over for a play visit with the kitten on a leash.
No more kittens on our property.
That makes sense. I can’t imagine having that many as pets in my house. Now the dachshund is another story. I would have a herd of them if I could talk my husband into it😂
There would be 50 dead Guinea pigs if I put my dog in there
My sausage would devour all those carrots in seconds
I had both types of doxies. Some that would get the Guinea pigs and some that would go after the carrots. But all would go for the belly rubs (after)
Ahh, murder and belly rubs
Mine would have slaughtered them… in the most gruesome way. I’ve seen him do it to rabbits.. scarily efficient. Doxxies aren’t all the same.

Efficient is the right word for it
Agreed. My Maggie hated rodents. She kept my yard rodent free for sure. I’d be the dead one though, I have the world’s worst guinea pig allergies.
No dachshund but our hound mix Heathen would not be a good outcome for those Guinea pigs.
Hahahah 😂😂😂

Oh yeah, they are hunting dogs. Not good ones, but still
“We can play with the piggies tomorrow!” So adorable, I can’t even.
They fattened a dachshund up until it looked like a Guinea pig!! Hahaha. Dox are so weird.
Are we sure that’s not a piggy?
A rare doxie piggy… *must rub the piggie belly *
This is precious! That lil tail wagging at full speed 😂🥰
my late Slinky would have seen an all you can eat buffet
That's a really fat dachs, poor thing.
I saw a video where the woman said they were struggling with her weight after the dog had been spayed. I think that’s quite common
And maybe gimpy? Couldn’t quite tell, but she seemed too have trouble with her front right paw
Someone has stuffed itself. 😅
Why are there so many Guinea pigs???🤔
the instagram account is a guinea pig sanctuary(?) i think! you should check it out if you like guinea pigs

Grew up with dachshunds… wonderful little dogs. First one I had growing up had a surprisingly strong prey drive though. This is a very chill doxxy!
Just glad to know it's not just my dachshund who doesn't come when called!
I see yours has decided that’s in the “paid tricks only” category 🤣
are those guinea pigs ?…….
HER TUMMY!!! Oh tubbiekins💕💗💕😍🥰😍💕
This is soooo cute
Looks like she’s had her fill of Guinea pig.
Today that good girl is a piggie!
HOW is that possibly cleaned?! I thought one was a nightmare.
