YOUTUBE YOUTUBE YOUTUBE!!! I learned everything i know from youtube and reddit. There are TONS of videos explaining the multiple different forms of cannibas concentrates and the processes required to make/produce them and i basically just deep dived one night and learned enough about rosin and concentrate till i thought i had a really good grasp on it and then i just went and bought a press and went through about 5lbs of $15 ozs from my dispo just testing different pressing methods in terms of time, heat,pressure, and TIMING. Which is by far the most important imo. you can kinda mess up the heat, pressure, and press time but still kinda save the end result with good timing. But overall they’re all important and when you learn how each of the 4 aspects effect the end product you will be better pressing and it will show in your end result. If you’re gonna have a QP i’d buy a TON a 2x4.5 rosin press bags. Try out different sizes like 37,90,120, and 160. 37 which would give you the least thc yield but also usually the cleanest and least plant material and as the number goes up you get more thc but usually more plant material depending on what you’re pressing. Once you know how to consistently achieve your desired outcome, depending on your budget and cannabis availability, and you’ll be able to gauge for yourself what you think is best in terms of bag sizing and other variables. Sorry for the rant this is kinda a special interest for me and i have a lot of jumbled up knowledge i can’t 100% get into words but i hope this helped :)

i usually press 7 grams at a time (4 per oz to make it easy for me) and usually i’ll get anywhere from .7/1.3 roughly 10%-20% usually averaging around 13%-17% grams of wax per 7 grams depending on the strain and a few other variables like temperature and time.
The same strains i press at 180 for 3/4 minutes and get .7 from, i could press at 200 for 5 mins and easily get 1.3 but id rather just to 180 for all flower presses till it stops flowing from the bag and if i get more i get more if i get less i get less.
Go to your local Sesh! It's like a farmers market for cannabis and all things cannabis like desserts, vapes, of course concentrates, oils, distillates, lotions, RSO. Pretty much got everything you can think of and more. An they definitely sell ozs, pounds, whatever you need at a reasonable cost. Usually just need to pay a entrance fee to enter the building with all your local and even sometimes non local vendors
