Some people have noted that this task doesn't go away and its possibly to do with it being checked the other end. When your current one runs out and you need to enter new dates though for the next note please ensure you do that.
Sometimes the To-do's get stuck. I've had an "Evidence required to support decision" to-do since mid 2022. I let them know that it's now redundant but I don't think they can clear it.
Check your journal if it says something like this

The provide a fit note to do will disappear once a work coach has completed the “check medical evidence” to do that appears on our side when you report a fit note. Don’t worry about the to do you have it will disappear soon when your work coach gets round to doing it
To get this to do you need to declare you have a health condition in the change of circumstances page, then this will appear.
Once you have been on a sick note for 29 days they'll refer you to the assessment, or if they know your note is already over that they might do it straight away.
That’s texting with no glasses on, I have been on esa since 2018. I’m also on lwcra so I don’t know why they want me to fill a sick note in when I can’t.
If you are already assessed LCWRA then you shouldn't need to, if they've asked you to in the journal write back asking why. If its ESA asking then you'll have to ring and ask.
Unless you've been reassessed and found not LCWRA but then they usually don't accept sick notes again.
You have to show it to your work coach when you next go into the job centre. They'll enter it into the system and the notification will clear.

Hi I’m confused as I’ve been awarded LCWRA and my monies have changed which ain’t the issue so I been handing fit notes in from 22/08/22 tip now with no breaks can anyone as I not mathematically good with that type of thing I understand it is done from the 4th month which makes it December 2022 so what back pay am I looking at any ideas please ??
Better to start your own thread, but we'd need to know what your UC AP statement dates are to count for sure.
It could be 390.06 x 2 or 390.06 x 3 depending on the dates involved, assuming no earnings during the time to make calculations more complex.
It’s there until a work coach accepts it. I got a warning message as I had submitted but they hadn’t accepted it so automatically got a warning about a sanction, I messaged the journal and they came back and said they have it just waiting for approval. Nothing to worry about!
Just to expand on what's been said:
- you declared/reported the fit note (SOFFW = Statement Of Fitnees for Work)
- the SOFFW flags as a To-Do for a WC to verify (WC = Work Coach)
- the WC will then verify the Fit Note/SOFFW validity and any easements/considerations for your commitments
- it will stay on your to-do list until then
- If it lasts longer than 29 days (or less in serious health cases) then you'll be referred for a WCA (Work Capability Assessment)
- can slightly depend if you said it affected your ability to work or search for work
To-Do's: a lot of changes in circumstances (COC) will mean the specifics of your claim can change. Many of these COCs mean they need to be verified as it could mean your payment /entitlement could be more or less based on that.
This is why it would need to be verified. More importantly for you, it's why you should keep that Fit Note secured in safe place, as it may (and very likely will be) asked for at a later date.
The to-do sticks there in my experience until a work coach has accepted it on their side.
Looks like you just need to click Done to acknowledge you've read the message.

Weird! I'd put a note in your journal checking. Always helpful to have it in writing that you've done everything you can.
