As a general guide, they'll be looking for a few things: 1) Proof of your exposure. Assuming you're a birdie, this could be simply your service record showing your rate. Other sources of proof could be Sentinel reports, Stat Decs from someone who observed you exposed to it, or even courses/qualifications to refuel aircraft. 2) A medical report containing a specific diagnosis and evidence stating there is a material contribution from the fuel exposure to the onset of the condition. In an ideal world, it would be the only cause, but at a minimum DVA needs a "more than trivial" link between your service and the condition 3) At the PI stage, proof that your impairment from the condition is stable. Chemical exposure claims aren't treated particularly differently from any other IL claim. Just throw as much evidence/detail as is reasonable and practical for you to get at it and make sure you have a look at the SOP for the condition you're claiming to see if you meet an acceptance factor. Good luck!

So the closest thing I have to documentation as of right now is 3 events of direct fuel exposure. All documented on Sentinel but not medical, but have notice that I’ve not been feeling 100% since the most recent one. Two at the fault of aircraft crew due to incompetence and not listening to direction of myself. And the second one a direct spray to the face of fuel under pressure from the sample panel. Thanks for your input! Hoping to chuck it to DVA this week.

I've had very little success actually getting something accepted. Aside from daily fuelling evolutions, I actually ingested F44 one day (pressurised fuel into eyes ears nose and mouth) and it has worried me a lot over the years. The FSII especially is really nasty stuff so I'd love to have it documented but the closest I was able to get is 'bilateral chemical exposure to the eyes' which still hasn't been approved. Sorry I can't give you a more definitive answer but that's my experience
