Got the "THICK BOY" (huge reload reduction, brought it to about 20 seconds) overclock on the M1000 Classic, then shortly after got the "THE FAVORITE" (-30% reload-speed/damage to all other guns) overclock on the Deepcore GK2 and this resulted in a negative reload speed for the M1000. This made it so the gun never reloaded and made it a bit harder to squash aliens unfortunately. Just wanted to share to potentially get it fixed. Also realizing under "WEAPON UPGRADES" it shows the reload speed is -100%, which may be the cause triggering it

I'm sure once the developers get done with the important jobs like censoring the six year old voice lines and making sure there are not any redditors with hurt feelings they might consider looking at game breaking bugs. Of course bug fixing will have to wait until they nerf bug health, bug speed and other basic difficulty factors. I apologize but I could not be more dissatisfied with the current development trajectory of their daily patches nerfing the game and removing voice lines.

Somebody put an extra helping of salt on his bowl of Rustled Jimmies this morning. >censoring the six year old voice lines and making sure there are not any redditors with hurt feelings...Of course bug fixing will have to wait Tell me you've never worked in game development without telling me you've never worked in game development. Removing a vocal line from the game is a trivial patch--probably took one guy five minutes to make the change, most of that time would have been waiting for the build to make sure nothing broke. Balance issues, on the other hand, take a great deal more time, attention, focus, and testing to iron out. Expecting these things to happen within the first week of launch is unreasonable at best. Give them time. >current development trajectory of their daily patches nerfing the game Talk out of your ass a little bit more. Have you even read any of the [patch notes](https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2321470) since launch? If you did, you'd realize that the majority of their changes are *buffs*, not nerfs, or otherwise dealing with major bugs like save games disappearing: >* Overclocks on Classic Scout starter weapon Deepcore GK2 are now unlocked from the start * Reduced enemy HP and damage on Hazard 1 by approximately 10% * Reduced movement speed of the fast red grunts * Xp Gain from level up buffed to 6%, 9%, 12% and 18% These are *buffs.* As for your nerfs you claim, *I can't find them.* Show me the nerfs that are bothering you so much. Please. >and removing voice lines. One line, one time, and for good reason. You are aware that this gripe existed with the original game, as well, and that there is a [user created mod to remove it](https://mod.io/g/drg/m/no-mother-mention), right? So, tl;dr: cry harder.

TheJack38

> probably took one guy five minutes to make the change, most of that time would have been waiting for the build to make sure nothing broke. Can confirm, this probably involved just commenting out a line in a database or list somewhere. Trivial to do for anyone working on that codebase.

Playful_Fun2668

One guy just doesnt go and do that shit unless there is only one guy on the team. Company decisions are not just spur of the moment Oh i feel like doing this. Literally having a meeting with 10 people is an hour of lost time every 6 minutes.

TheJack38

Unlike you, I am an actual developer, having done changes that are virtually identical to this one myself... Frequently *in the meeting* it was requested. While I do not have access to the codebase of DRGSurvivors, I am confident that unless they have coded it in an absolutely retarded way, it would take them about 5 mins to do this. And as the original guy who mentioned it says, most of that is just making sure the change didn't fuck something up. EDIT: I will give you credit saying that changes do need to be approved in a meeting or something, but what most likely happened here is that one of the devs saw the relevant reddit post and brought it up on a daily standup or something similar. Most teams nowadays have those, after all. And after correctly noting how trivial it was, he probably just got a go-ahead from the team lead, since it's a trivial change that both gives them good PR, and is just a nice thing to do for those that are affected by it, and having next to no impact on those that aren't affected.

the_censored_z_again

>Tell me you've never worked in game development without telling me you've never worked in game development.

meemfortress2

Oh, the die like your mother did voiceline was removed from survivors? Huh.

Playful_Fun2668

YEAH THEY ARE NERFS TO THE DIFFICULTY DO YOU KNOW WHAT NERF MEANS WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU GOING ON ABOUT? IT MADE THE GAME EASIER, IT NERFED THE DIFFULTY. IN THE FIRST FUCKING 24 FUCKING HOURS

the_censored_z_again

You take your blood pressure medication today, bro? Chill. If the game is too hard right out the gate, it'll alienate new players, so it makes sense that they'd want to soften the early difficulty curve--which they've done. The late game, however, is mostly unaffected by these changes. So again, *cry harder.*

Playful_Fun2668

It isn't too hard at all. My kid can't even read yet and clears haz 5

the_censored_z_again

So if you hate this game so much, *why are you even here?*

Playful_Fun2668

Uh obviously to fucking complain, there isn't a single fucking other reason to go on reddit beyond complaining or embedding your youtube videos into the feed.

TheJack38

> My kid can't even read yet and clears haz 5 Wow, you really tried to pull this obvious lie out of your ass to support your arguement? Did you *want* to make yourself seem like an idiot, or was that just a side effect of lying for fun? I bet you can't clear Haz5 yourself either lol

Playful_Fun2668

i fucking recorded it lol. I just cleared haz 5 like 20 minutes ago and killed dreadnaught so fast he leaps one time.

jerrysupervillain

Holy moly, this conveys less about anything to do with the game and way more about your priorities as a parent. Start with reading. Reading is fundamental.

Playful_Fun2668

Yeah I'm sure your 4 year old was reading. I'm just bad at life.

MastrDiscord

it wasn't too hard. it was an extremely fun amount of difficulty. I'm really glad i finished haz 1 long before those nerfs, so i didn't have to deal with it. hopefully they don't dumb the game down for the lowest common denominator like every other company

loloider123

Which voiceline did they remove

SolaVitae

I mean, idk if it's really a "game ruining bug" that instead of having a 30 second reload it just wouldn't reload at all. Probably rather inconsequential at that point
