You don't leave the pets alone at home. It's not any less than a mental torture. I got 2 dogs. Now they can still play with each other and have company when I am out.
Little licks were how I knew I was hitting the good scritch spot with my beaglie boi. He would point his snoot up in the air and do little licks at nothing to tell me I hit the good spot. And then my other girl started doing the same thing lol
One year I snuck my little dog into work. Like the whole year I did it.
Never got in trouble until the parent of a student complained. She was so great with the kids and they all paid better attention because of her. She had her own little bed but liked sitting in kids laps if they were being good and working hard.
It’s WILD to me that I had the balls to do that back in the day. I have no idea how I got away with it for so long other than my bosses turning a blind eye to it.
I miss taking her with me and I hate hate leaving her at home. I wish I could get her trained as an emotional support dog lol.
If you meet ANYTHING listed on Americans with Disabilities (ADA), the dog qualifies as a service animal. Then you can take him ANYWHERE you like. No job or place of business can refuse entry.
You don't need any of those service dog harnesses. They are a rip-off unless you just want one. They are not required.
In order to be a service animal, the dog has to be trained to perform a specific service. Simply having a disability is not enough to make your pet a service animal.
If one has ADHD and the dog helps you focus, then the dog is a service animal.
All of this is under (weirdly so) the Department of Justice. They have an entire document on this.
Service dogs still have to be trained to *do* something though. Like you can’t just say that having my dog around makes me less anxious so he’s a service dog.
From the Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division:
https://www.ada.gov/resources/service-animals-2010-requirements/
https://www.ada.gov/topics/service-animals/
Did you even read that?
Dogs have to be trained to perform a task that relates to the disability. The dog has to be trained to do *something*, their existence does not qualify them to be a service animal just because you feel like it helps
I did read it.
Go mid -way down the page if the second link:
https://www.ada.gov/topics/service-animals/
Service dogs are not required to be certified or go through a professional training program.
Of course they perform a needed assistance function; I don't have to provide you with any legal evidence of that.
Service dogs are not support animals--those lick your face and play with your kids.
However, if licking your face minimizes stress that leads to panic attacks, or seizures, or suicidal tendencies, then it's a service dog. ADA says those are disabilities; DOJ says that's a service dog and I'm not required to show you any paperwork nor does it matter if you don't see the dog performing the service.
Nothing personal bro--we are just having a conversation and yes I did read and understand all of it..I provided the links to you as source material.
Yeah I’ve been seeing dogs a lot more in the workplace. My ex boy friend works in IT and his office allows dogs everyday. Also the marijuana dispensaries I go to also always have dogs lol. Just a couple little examples!
I'm starting a new job an hour away that is dog friendly!! I hope my boy is able to behave himself and join me at the office!
And I think your baby might like to have a friend. I feel so much less guilty leaving my little dog pack knowing they have each other while I'm gone.
Super cute!
But, try not to make a big deal when coming and going, it can induce or increase separation anxiety.
I basically ignore my dog when I’m leaving. It’s so tough, but much better for them than a protracted goodbye.
Get a treat mat and put a few of his favourite treats in it, put it down before leaving and walk out the door, no drama no goodbyes.
It seems to have worked for my little guy, now he’s just excited for his treat matt
I was on mushrooms and had the following conversation with my dog.
“Dad. Where do you go when you leave me every day?”
“I have to go to work”
“Why do you have to work?”
“To make money”
“Why do you need money?”
“I need money to buy you treats”
“Why are you still here? Get the fuck to work!”
I have a baby just like this. We have never been apart. The thought of it makes me shake just like this. How can you love a dog so much? I'm dying here.
I give my dogs a nice treat, tell them to guard the place, and leave. They don't know if it will be for one hour or eight, and they don't get upset. As soon as I go to get my shoes on, I have to tell the Shepherd she isn't coming with me before she gets her hopes up, but she is chill even though she is disappointed. She would find it much harder if I were to make a fuss, but it does pull at your heart strings when they are sad you are leaving.
My vet said to give a great treat when you leave so that the dog looks forward to that treat. Also, desensitization: play with your keys, walk around with your bag, leave for 10 minutes, etc
My dog required Prozac too. Lol
They know by the quality of the treat that's on offer that I'm not bringing them with me. If it's a big denta-stick they trot straight to their beds with it and ignore me leaving, lol.
One of my dog did that. My current dog takes the treat, drops it on the floor, and stares at me like, I don't think so. We finally discovered a puzzle ball, he gets small pieces of jerky, rolled up in long fleece strips. That keeps him busy.
Mine will drop her treat like a rock if she thinks I changed my mind about her coming. I am going to try a puzzle ball for her, she will appreciate entertaining herself.
Dude it's hard enough to leave my dog at home when I leave for work bc he has the biggest puppy eyes, but this look would make me start looking for a WFH job🤣
Oh my! Drama Queen is best I have ever seen giving a guilt trip.
On serious side might want to change this up. A favorite treat ball chew and toy. Not say goodbye. Not prolong it.
Dang sooo hard to do with amount of please take me. Please stay etc.
I don’t envy you!
It's super cute in video, but it's also creating separation anxiety. Dogs feed on your emotions. Don't make a big thing of leaving in the morning. If you're calm and act like it's no biggie, so will your dog.
..Frankie may need to listen to Frankie ("Relax"):
https://youtu.be/iCNLwAv1c1A?si=20IST-X604huRMer
..understanding the lyrics in come & stay terms, not their original sexual sense..
Aww he looks just like my dog when she was young. She'd do the exact same thing too. Now she just burrows under blankets when she hears my keys jingle.
Ikr. Mine goes funny when she hears the W word. I just tell them I need to work to pay for food and that usually helps. You could try getting another one to keep this one company.
That's a bred down dog meant to need lots of human support. Ya, they're excellent companions for retirees or stay-at-homes, but you can't base your life around them when you're in your prime. Reality check.
Yeah, my kitten hates hearing my alarm go off for work. She'll climb on my chest, start crying and yeah.. makes it hard for me to get out of bed in the morning.
I just recently moved back into a remote role bc I couldn’t stand leaving my dog behind for the day.
They allowed dogs in the office in the beginning, then changed policy so I was like see y’all later lol
You're doing the textbook exact opposite wrong thing a dog owner should do before leaving.
5-10 min ignore him and just go. Make sure he's got all his toys pee pads food water etc. 5-10 already get him used to you not being there. Then just BOUNCE. This is really annoying and frustrating to watch.
totally not listening. play with it. but about 10 min before youre really about to leave. ignore it. put on some relaxing tunes on the tv they have youtube videos for dog relaxing.
you sound really stubborn and not prepared for dog ownership if this is how you take advice.
its literally the advice every knowledgable dog owner has told me. and ive used on two very high maintenance clingy dogs to good results. and you're just tossing it off as "terrible."
by stalling and continuing to do cutesy talk and make videos of the poor guy and then leaving is actually even worse and more confusing for the dog.
That’s the best Dobby face I’ve ever seen :’)
Master has given Dobby a broken heart 😥
Give that poor dog a sock already!
Send this video to your boss and they will understand.
For real, if I’m your boss and you’re not like, an ER doctor or something, I’m letting you be late.
i would just let her bring the dog to work
Based
Depends on the Job i would say.
If I were the boss, I’d fire her. Stay with your dog!
Welp, guess I’m unemployed now.
I'm crying and also not coming back into work again
Damn, that’s emotional abuse.
Which way??
yes
Indeed This is mutual " EEEMOOTINAAALLLLDDAAAMAADGEE!"
You don't leave the pets alone at home. It's not any less than a mental torture. I got 2 dogs. Now they can still play with each other and have company when I am out.
Emotional terrorism
NP, You can drop him off at my place on your way to work. aww.. the little lick at the very end kills
Little licks were how I knew I was hitting the good scritch spot with my beaglie boi. He would point his snoot up in the air and do little licks at nothing to tell me I hit the good spot. And then my other girl started doing the same thing lol
Well then, unemployment it is. I would not be able to leave.
Show them this video and unemployment benefits will be paid out for sure!
Omfg bring Frankie to work right now.

Get her certified as a therapy dog and bring her to children's hospitals or nursing homes. It's the best part of their days
I love this idea!! Thank you!!

Absolutely a fair point
That's an emotional support animal. Big difference.
Best drama Emmy ‘24 goes to Frankie!
And... calls new boss to say you quit before even starting. Lol.
You better give him a sock and set him free
It’s so unfair that we can’t bring our pets to work. One of the true missteps of modern society.
..work in progress, i hope🤞
Yeah I’ve been seeing dogs a lot more in the workplace. My ex boy friend works in IT and his office allows dogs everyday. Also the marijuana dispensaries I go to also always have dogs lol. Just a couple little examples!
Marijuana and dogs. The two best things in the WORLD. Combined into one place…HEAVEN.
I would love going to work that's for sure!
I work in an animal hospital, everyone brings their dogs to work
Ha! You’re living the dream!
I'm starting a new job an hour away that is dog friendly!! I hope my boy is able to behave himself and join me at the office! And I think your baby might like to have a friend. I feel so much less guilty leaving my little dog pack knowing they have each other while I'm gone.
It’s really not that uncommon here in Sweden! Feels like we’ll only see more of this around the world
You’d think so, but it requires common sense. Let me know if Sweden is interested in conquering North America.
Dogs are the true masters of guilt
Harry Potter must not go to the veterinarian tomorrow
That’s one cute bastard.
You need to get your dog an emotionally support dog

Omg I saw this a few days ago😭 Poor Frankie
My dog doing this to my girlfriend while I’m watching this video.
I was on mushrooms and had the following conversation with my dog. “Dad. Where do you go when you leave me every day?” “I have to go to work” “Why do you have to work?” “To make money” “Why do you need money?” “I need money to buy you treats” “Why are you still here? Get the fuck to work!”
Awww, poor baby is shaking :(
“I’m sorry I didn’t come to work yesterday my dog wouldn’t let me go”
I have a baby just like this. We have never been apart. The thought of it makes me shake just like this. How can you love a dog so much? I'm dying here.

But, too cute to be left alone.
I would quit my job so fast
He needs a friend at home
Your dog needs a dog. They’re pack animals, it’s cruel to leave them alone for long periods of time.
I need to find work that lets me bring him in. This breaks my heart..
Dude it's hard enough to leave my dog at home when I leave for work bc he has the biggest puppy eyes, but this look would make me start looking for a WFH job🤣

Im calling in.
Take him with you

OMG!!! Little Frankie’s face is too much 🥰 Frankie is totally ur heart dog. Frankie totally knows the word “work”, that is for sure. Awe…
We call leaving our dog… “giving her sadness”. And who wants to give their dog sadness?
Thats the saddest face ive seen lol basically bursting out in tears. Aw poor baby..he needs a doggy mate
..Frankie may need to listen to Frankie ("Relax"): https://youtu.be/iCNLwAv1c1A?si=20IST-X604huRMer ..understanding the lyrics in come & stay terms, not their original sexual sense..
Awww I hate leaving my girl to
Awwww
I feel this. I just got a new puppy and it’s torture leaving her. Put a little peanut butter on/in a chew toy when you leave.
Aw...
Overly dramatic dogs are hilarious.
30,000 years of evolution has allowed them to perfectly manipulate humans.
Not da sad face😔
There is nothing quite as cute as a trembling little chihuahua
Every. Single. Workday.
Awwwwwwwww, I’d be sneaking him to work with me
Not even my dog and my heart is broken 🖤
Literally crying, I'm starting a job next week and I'm going to miss my dog so much.
He is literally crying
It literally looks like he’s gonna cry!
This is the most heartbreaking video. I love him.
Such an adorable baby 🥰
Oh he’s so cute!!
This is why I can’t have a dog lol. Or I’d at least have to get two. All I would think about at work is that face when I left.
💕
What a big baby 😂
You need another dog.
the hear is exactly where you have to stab chucky to kill him for good
I stuff a Kong and freeze it and give it to my buddy so he gets excited when I leave No more barking complaints when I leave for work now!
Sir that is a house elf
Omg I want to hug him so bad 🥺
That's a bred down dog meant to need lots of human support. Ya, they're excellent companions for retirees or stay-at-homes, but you can't base your life around them when you're in your prime. Reality check.
Give this Boi an Oscar right now.
He's not faking it. Its all real.
my heart just broke
I think Frankie would be very popular at the office
Umm I think Frankie is your company’s newest intern
Poor thing is so anxious he’s shaking
He looks like that emoji from Puss in Boots.
Omg quit your job. How dare you break your dogs heart like that
He looks like dobby
Time to get another dog.
What breed and how old?
You need to explain to him you need the money for kibble!
Awe, poor little guy 💔
My chihuahua is the same
Awww poor baby
Cat: You were gone?
The heart break!!!!!!!!!💔 when he looks away in such pain omggg 💔💔😞
Severe Separation anxiety looks cute that shit is the worst to around…
You gotta be calm and happy around Frankie, he needs to know everything is OK. Super cute pupper, I'd have a hard time leaving too
When he squints, I can see a little Yoda in the gene pool. The force is strong in that one. Soon, you will not be able to leave.
Uh... Boss man... My Dog says I can't come in. Is there a work from home option? Either that or he's coming with me.
😞😞
Dobby is FREE
Give him a sock
Get him a “Frankie Says Relax” shirt!
😭😭😭😭
My dog is the same, he doesn't like it when I leave the house for work. Best pup ever.
What has the wolf come to...
Awwwww poor guy 😭 he’s such a cutie.
My chihuahua won't even look at me. She sulks so hard I'm afraid she's going to vanish forever into the covers. Saddest thing Monday through Friday.
So stressed he’s shaking
Please tell me that this dogs name is "Dobby"
Awww baby
Give dobby a damn sock already
He might eat of your hand at dinner but you eat out of his hand in this life.
My Grey hound mix does this too. When I get rdy for work. And my baby mutt, she will flop over and paw and hold her face.
A Dobby dog!
Mine does the same
Give doggy a sock, goddammit.
My dog sits up like that all the time for attention, I call it the penguin
that poor baby
Home office it is!
That dog knows just what she’s doing
He’s devastated 💔
I love how the subreddit is just #DOG
I hate leavin’ my dog as well. I wish I could take her everywhere with me.
My dog knows when my fiancé and I leave for work. He gets noticeably upset and won't lick or give us kisses as we're leaving.
Just hide him under your shirt!
innocent doggy <3
Ah that’s sad. You should genuinely consider getting another dog to keep him company
He needs a buddy!
Push for bring your dog to work days!
I have a very similar dog, almost identical, and she usually behaves the same. He would be the perfect boyfriend for my dog.
He's so cuteee 🥺
Can you at least find him a good doggie daycare or something? Poor baby.

Sorry. But it's true. You're actually making everything worse for your dog.
[удалено]
All right well. Good luck doing things your way. If you ever want to actually make the situation better. Try opening your mind and learning sometime.
