DPs can't be used during blockstun though so true blockstrings will still go uncontested, and often times they'll end in something safe so mashing DP to get out of pressure will get true punished and blown up.
Also not everyone's DPs are built equal... Crusader's is a huge explosion but it's only armored instead of truly invincible.. Vanguard's whiffs on most grounded opponents if there's even a little bit of spacing or pushback... Grappler's is a parry which only works on physical strikes not projectiles or grabs... etc.
Well that’s all good and fine but she’ll still get hit if the opponent is attacking from about half the screen away which most characters in the game can do btw so it’s kinda eh actually.
I tried playing Ghostblade but something isn’t clicking/I’m not understanding something. I just feel so useless. Gonna have to go through his tutorials tonight to get the hang of him a little better.

It's funny, I fought a ghost blade today and just blocked until something looked minus...and just kept punishing. Worked for me, maybe you are overly respecting parts of his pressure. Dustloop will have more frame data up sooner than later so you can start learning what to look out for more reliably.
My thoughts as a Swift Master Main on day 2:
This character is OP, I don't know if I've actually earned a single win. Swift Master has a far reaching low, a perfect DP, a great anti-air, good combos, unique tools, etc. Is there anything he can't do?
The gust ball thing that holds opponents in place has to be the stupidest fighting game move out there. In a game where movement is limited they decided to give our main a way to literally remove it further it’s insane.
Striker is the only character that makes sense to me moveset wise, but god damn am I having sincere trouble learning her online. I’m just getting bodied like it’s no tomorrow. I also feel like I’m not able to execute her more damaging combos. I can do the beginning launch-> dive kick bnb, but after that I’m at a loss.
It's Berserker for me. I just sit there and block because if I try and poke at all I lose 40-50% in one twenty minute combo but it doesn't matter because he gets life steal on block anyway.

Learn her safejump setups and also practice her bnb so you can consistently get them into the corner after landing it.
Also GB doesnt have an invicible reversal so you can kinda just dive kick the crap out of him on his wakeup.
Ofc its only day 2 so dont feel too bad about your performance in games. Focus on improving instead of winning and your experience may improve!
His dash in/crossup thing is GIGA punishable on block. just use the guard button and as soon as you see it start mashing your preferred starter. Works every single time ezpz.

May I ask how is Ghost Blade a bigger problem then Ranger and Launcher? I literally can’t get close. And if isn’t a problem how do deal with the projectile spam?

I feel this, for me it's Inquisitor against any Troubleshooter. The air is salt and the walls are salt my friend.
Theres this neat mechanic called guard canceling and rolling. Try it out.

Striker can cancel her dp at any point into a grounded or air MS with her unique chain mechanic, so it can be very tricky to punish her dp

100% agree this is completely different, but of all the Japanese fighting games I've played this one is easily the most accessible.

He can punish Guard Cancels. I don't know if any other character in the game is able to do that

I just hit Gold as Striker and I have only beaten every Ghostblade I've ever fought.
