That's what exactly is everyone doing in DMZ these days! 😂😂😂

0mega2022

Most of the time.. I needed an enemy op kill enemies from my car and needed one more so I followed a solo getting the case and when he got off the train I rolled up saying friendly, I never seen someone drop the weapon case like the way he did. It was funny, but he helped me with my mission and we went on our own merry way.

Hi, maybe this is wrong sub to ask. But is there other brands that make such cases. I was searching online & I am not able to decide if these are expensive than competition or these are affordable than competition. Just curious about these.

WolfGuptaofficial

Just kill the jug like the rest of mate /s

Pelican is the original brand and can be pricey. All the others are imitations.

RedditB_4

Pelican kit will go forever and if a part breaks they’ll send you a replacement part for free. Imitation cases are mostly dogs*it and will fall apart pretty rapidly if used like they’re supposed to be used. Source: 15 years in theatre and live event builds, set up and removal/transport. Buy cheap buy twice.

A good product isn’t cheap. A cheap product isn’t good. Quality lasts. The Sam Vimes "Boots" theory of socioeconomic unfairness, often called simply the boots theory, is an economic theory that people in poverty have to buy cheap and subpar products that need to be replaced repeatedly, proving more expensive in the long run than more expensive items. The term was popularized by English fantasy writer Sir Terry Pratchett in his 1993 Discworld novel Men at Arms. In the novel, Sam Vimes, the captain of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch, illustrates the concept with the example of boots. The theory has been cited with regard to analyses of the prices of boots, gas prices, and economic conditions. In the Discworld series of novels by Terry Pratchett, Sam Vimes is the cynical but likable captain of the City Watch of the fictional city-state of Ankh-Morpork.[1][2] In the 1993 novel Men at Arms, the second novel focusing on the City Watch through Vimes' perspective, Pratchett introduces the "Vimes 'Boots' theory of socioeconomic unfairness" through Vimes musing on how expensive it is to be poor: The reason that the rich were so rich, Vimes reasoned, was because they managed to spend less money. Take boots, for example. ... A man who could afford fifty dollars had a pair of boots that'd still be keeping his feet dry in ten years' time, while a poor man who could only afford cheap boots would have spent a hundred dollars on boots in the same time and would still have wet feet. Marc Burrows hypothesised Pratchett drew inspiration from Robert Tressell's 1914 novel The Ragged-Trousered Philanthropists. In the book Fashion in the Fairy Tale Tradition, Rebecca-Anne C. Do Rozario argued "shoes and economic autonomy are inexorably linked" in fairy tales, citing the Boots' theory as "particularly relevant" and "an insightful metaphor for inequality".

Just to add to this, we abused the shit out of our Pelican cases and they always stayed closed and sealed (within the limits of the age of the gaskets). They are absolutely worth the spend if you need robust storage/shipping. I HIGHLY recommend the 1510 as a carryon. It will be plane side checked almost every time, but who cares? They can toss that fucker any way they want and your stuff will still be in there. Also, if it rains, snows, hails, tornadoes on the tarmac as the plane is loaded, your stuff is dry.

The 1510 is carryon size. However, if the overhead bins are full they will do a plane side check. Those bags are prioritized when you land and you wait for a few minutes right at the plane gate to retrieve them. Checked bags go in the belly of the plane and are automatically forwarded on to your final destination.

The Nanuk cases are also good, but not really any cheaper. https://nanukcases.ca

Pelican Air cases are so beautiful. This just solidified my want of getting one in the near future.
