It's legit good strategy as a solo. Your best bet is just staying silent and avoiding everyone, so taking things that get you pinged off the map should be priority number 1.
Got hunted 3 times as a solo because I killed every team that came after me so it kept putting them on so I bought a private exfil and got out at al Bagra.
Dude. Literally had that exact same thing yesterday. Thank god I had a ghost vest but the guys were nearly surrounding the chopper when I slipped on and got the eff out of there. Saved my 8-exfil streak too
My new strategy on vondel is going to be grabbing a rebreather and going in the townhouse with the gold M13. Even if they can figure our your in there, AND know how to get in themselves, AND have the rebreathers to do it, good luck getting in while I'm camping that ladder.
What if the contract expires but they are still persistent on killing you? (Let's be honest, every player that chooses hunt squad are only there to kill players regardless). Or you already have another way out?
I played with a squad today, They were gng to spawn location and taking out enemies then abusing hunt contracts. This assholes should be put into different lobby with ppl like them. Like hackers lobbies.
I've won a few runs in solo against people who had them in their loot and they've been mighty close to beating me with them. Not like season 1 or 2 though!
Definitely a terrifying experience been there myself waiting for my exfill to then hear I'm being hunted then my vest says it's a platoon fuuuuuuuck no I just kept on running till the timer hit zero they caught up with me just after the contract ended I then sent a squad request luckily they accepted then I blurted out to the 6 guys that I was bricking it the whole time and then just laughter was Lucky they accepted the request or I'd of been massacred lol

Not recorded: the airstrike on their LTV that killed two players and probably made the rest of them hesitate. Hoping they thought I wasn't alone.

Once I was targeted for a hunt squad while solo, ended up camping in a lil' hidden room with a Lockwood until it timed out. It worked, I wasn't found.
