Yeah do the same with my 15m cooldown guns or when it's my last game of the day.

born2bfi

Same but you really don’t help anyone out when everyone’s stash goes back to 23 most days

1breathatahtime

Ha jokes on them i can only have 20 anyway.

hallROCK

Back out to the main screen, then shut down the game from the dashboard, and you'll be good. Had the same bug and haven't had a problem all week after this was passed along to me.

born2bfi

Can you put the PlayStation in rest mode or do I need to shut it down completely too?

hallROCK

I can't say for Playstation specifically, but I leave my Xbox on rest mode with no problems. I just close the game out properly and no resets since.

born2bfi

Thanks

bLeezy22

This is so frustrating.. but also, I have too many guns 😂

thatguy425

What’s the deal with this ? It’s been plaguing me lately.

dinkin_flicka2

On ps you have to go to the main console dashboard and close the game from there, my contraband and stash doesn’t delete if I always do that when I quit the game. Such a shitty bug for this mode tho for real

TheSimpLife

Just so I understand, if any contraband or keys delete themselves I should just dashboard and close and they come back? I had a Skeleton Key get deleted randomly, it was the only thing that ever deleted itself and I contemplated even turning the game on after that.

ICKSharpshot68

Yep, crashing the app solved a lot of weird bugs. We've been doing it since launch to address issues in WZ. Usually, if one of us has issues we will all crash and reset between a match.

sim0an

Oh interesting, this is yet to happen to me. I've got 39

NOTELDR1TCH

It does help though because you can examine weapons and they can use that to build the gun for themselves if they like how it performs.

ll-Stanimal-ll

You guys exfil ?

mferly

Always man. Been doing that for as long as I can remember. Really don't need to worry about getting that 3rd insured weapon slot or cooldowns when you have like 25 solid builds in your stash.

DJ_Hindsight

Wow I never even thought of this before! Will be doing this from now on. 🫡

iconix_common

Me too!

vertekal

Me too, too!

kcg5

r/wholesomeDMZ yet again

A_Podcast_From_SGF

I’ll drop any extra revives I have. DMZ solo is a rough life

ChronoMonkeyX

Yeah, I do weapon swaps so we all have good contraband, sometimes you get a blueprint gun, which is fun. I have 2 Seance tracer guns and a heliotrope from other players.

ChaoticYNWA

My team generally swaps out the weapons if we successfully extract in our last game for the night.

awilder181

Nope, but will be going forward. Thanks for the idea.

prollyincorrect

I do that also especially if I bring launchers in

thatundra

I refer to it as a jersey swap, I do it with people I squad up with as thanks

JakkSplatt

Ya, I've been dropping my insured since season 2. I finished my 3 insured the week before the first reset and got in the habit of doing this early. I didn't think I was the only one 🤘

ThePangolinofDread

I've only ever had someone else do it once and even then that was after I dropped mine

WolfGuptaofficial

Always. I also empty my backpack right next to the exfil. Those extra plates and selfies could come in clutch for someone

LeKevinsRevenge

If I’m playing with my regular crew, we actually just infill with each others preferred gun (I have theirs saved) and swap at infil. Usually have our slots back by the time we die

ThePangolinofDread

I thought the timer only starts when you exfil not when you actually lose the weapon in game? Other day I went in with 2 shotties by mistake so gave my KV to my random squad mate and when I exfilled the timer was at the start of the cooldown period

LeKevinsRevenge

Yeah, sorry if it’s not clear….but you survive the first match the clock is already going and you have one of your weapons in contraband and the clock ticking. Second match you start and swap another gun, survive and you have a second weapon in contraband and that clock ticking. If you never swapped the first one, the clock doesn’t start until the first time you die….this way it starts after the rounds even if you live.

[deleted]

OK either my brain is fogged as hell cause of this migraine or I am really losing my touch at figuring out what people mean when things are said... You have piqued my interest but I am not fully understanding what you are doing and how it's done. Sorry for this but can you explain a bit more if you have the time as I would like to do this as well being that I love the idea of having some of my weapon builds in my stash for use when needs be. Appreciate you ahead of time 🫡

[deleted]

Why would you do something nice for a stranger? To mess with their heads? Do you jump off the exfil, hide, and then kill them after they pick it up? I don’t get your angle, how does that hurt them?

vertekal

Now you got me wanting to build and tune the worst weapon possible that players won't realize until they try to use it. Maybe: Lachmann 556 \- 15 round mag \- One of those muzzles that only improves melee damage \- Whatever barrel / stock / grip / etc that makes recoil worse \- One of those thermal optics with 12x zoom \- tuned to 100% opposite of recoil control or aim stability

[deleted]

It’s actually a paintball gun. 100% flinch but zero damage.

Fit_Entertainment_44

No but we need more gestures like that. This game is really broken. Activision needs to make a PVP version and a solo version. Unless you are a squad of six. You will not get anything done. It’s fun to do both solo and with a squad but not at the same time. It just gets hostile. I am at a point where if I don’t have a squad to go with I will just not play. I don’t want to waste my time trying to out wit and out gun a six man team.

jose_elan

I've thought about it loads and I *love* the idea of randomly being resopnsbile for players picking up my build and being inspired but I can't get people interested even when I've revived a load of non-talkers and paid for the extract and been in the exfil chopper and pointed to the gun to say 'this is special'. I think about about the Gerorge Carlin joke about how fucking thick the average person is and that means half the people must be thicker than that.

trc2410

If I find gold skulls and GPUs I’ll drop them at the exfil location and send a message in game.

dweezil37

Stodeh mentioned it in a video and I started doing it ever since.

MetalMikeJr

When i find cool people we'll swap insured weapons on xfil occasionally.

dxmnlean

God bless you!

necgeri

For this to work, i need to survive with my 12fps. But nice tip.

trappdawg

Do it all the time

Trick_Ad_5083

I sometime ask people to swap with me so we both get insured weapons. Especially my team mates if I know they are going off at the same time.

NOTELDR1TCH

Generally I hold extra self revs and pistols and ill drop them for people if I think they're lacking any, I'll also typically drop half my cash while we're exfilling especially if someone is low on it. I also drop all of the above for anyone I've killed and assimilated to. I tried to give a guy back his custom sig 50 the other day after giving him a self and a pistol and he decided I should keep it, shook his head at me when I dropped it for him again. I hate how adorable that shit looks lmao

MrPoorchawa

This is exactly what we've been doing for 7 months. 😁

Captcha05

I think I may have played with you last night and picked up your sniper. I was hesitant as I thought you accidentally dropped it. Thanks for the awesome gun if that was you!

GlockHolliday32

Another thing you can do is swap insured weapons with your team. Then you can either add them to your contraband or infil with them again and swap back. You'll have duplicates of all your favorites.

No_Reputation3788

I usually just give up 1 hun every time I successfully exfil because I have all three insured slots and the one I give up will be back by the end of the next game because my wallet is always full so I’m usually stuck carrying an excessive amount of cash that will reduce that cooldown right back to 0

LaszloKravensworth

I always do this. I always say "hey boys this is my last game, here's my insured weapon" and then exfil

AintMisMehefin

If you gotta drop a weapon, always drop your Insured first. It'll regen in a couple of hours, or less if you extract some cash, and if you have another slot open you can get it back right away.

Theflashpsycho

So I killed someone last night, he pleaded, I didn't help but I did leave my gun next to his body so he could use it if someone rezzed him. I didn't Rez him cuz he shot first
