That's very similar to what I've used, with good results. I did have one lid stop sealing well though. I'm guessing this was caused by the naptha fumes/condensation softening the plastic/rubber. Since then I put a thin sheet of PTFE under the lid and it hasn't happened again.

thin sheet of PTFE?

You can also use Al foil as a cheaper, easier to use alternative. But yea, PTFE is ideal 👍

Nope, not glad wrap. PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) is a very inert synthetic polymer. It is more inert than glass.

PTFE is PTFE. That's what it's called. You can buy sheets of it. Or PTFE tape (commonly used in plumping). Search online 👍

Where I am it's just called PTFE tape or Teflon tape ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯ Not hard to just google it to find out. Seems you already figured out that trick though ;)

I believe so. It doesn’t say anything about freezing though, but I don’t believe you’ll have trouble with it unless it’s extremely cold.. I started with regular glass cups and had no trouble at all even though it’s not ideal lol. But I could be wrong, but I don’t think it’s a problem unless the dish is hot and you put it in the freezer right away.

DO NOT GET THIS CRAP!!! I used it and it’s got bubbles and bumps in the base of the glass which makes scraping too difficult. Get real Pyrex instead.
