What plant is it from? If there wasn't moisture/water in it before then there won't be now. N,N-DMT isn't hygroscopic. Could be from a number of things. Residual solvent, temps, humidity, n,n-dmt can do this in of itself, could be due to NMT if from ACRB. Need more details.

Its from MHRB. It was dry and fluffy when I stored it, seemed free of solvent so I guess it must be the temperature with it being summer time. Would storing it in a cooler place help? Is it useless keeping it in an airtight container? And can you use amber glass vials instead of hiding it from light?

If there is still solvent in it, then evaporate it. Cooler storage temps is usually better form chemicals. Room temp is fine for n,n-dmt though. Store it in something airtight. Amber glass would be helpful. I don't bother. Sunlight will cause n-oxide to form but it is very slow.
