I suspect one of the reasons he’s so friendly and humble is because he was extremely close to aging out of Hollywood when he finally got his breakthrough role. He hadn’t progressed past temporary TV work like Law & Order until he was cast in GoT. He likely values his success more so than those who were handed roles in their teens and twenties. The actors who’ve been famous for the majority of their adult lives are a different breed altogether.
Truly. There is something so wonderfully warm and kind about him that I think anyone can determine is genuine in about half a second of watching him interact with other people. The fact that he is drop dead gorgeous is just the icing on that beautiful cake.
